I am Captain Koryzio, an insane Aussie who loves dinosaurs and dragons and other critters (horses, dogs, birds...), and is obsessed to the max with drawing! I'm nearly 17, and I spend most of my internet time on my deviantART, my account name being Koryzio, and you'll catch me on the Dragon Adopter Forums and Neopound Forums sometimes as well. I don't have much time for Neo anymore now that I'm in college (only on a few times a week), I'm only on here mainly to enter the BC, to roleplay and to battle.

My Dream Pets

Well, before the major change to Neopets and all the redraws, I had my heart set on getting a Maraquan, Faerie or Tyrannian draik...a royal boy uni... a tyrannian krawk... and a faerie peophin. I succeeded in getting my dream uni and peo.

Well, now that Neopets has changed so much, the four pets I want are a Darigan draik and a Maraquan draik, a pirate hissi, and the unconverted faerie peophin (thank goodness I already had Molidor, I'm so glad I had the choice of whether to convert him or not).

So now currently, to get the rest of my dream pets it would cost me... probably over 38 mil NP, so my plans are to adopt two draiks and a pirate hissi and paint the draiks myself. I've got enough NP for the Darigan PB now...long way off from Maraquan one though. XD

update! My Darigan Paint Brush fund is stuck in my Koryzio account. D: Argh! I don't believe this! Nothing for it but to save up all over again now... I'll still try and get my PIN back for that account anyway, but could tale a looooooong time.

FAQ

Q. Why'd you make a page about yourself?
A. Because there wasn't enough room on my lookup. Rotten character limit. :(

Q. Can you draw my [insert species here]?
A. Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm tired of doing requests for people and then not even getting a "Thank you!" for it! Hours of work that people don't even use! I'm just not doing it anymore. Occasionally I will do free requests for people's dragon characters on DA, but I'm not doing Neopet ones anymore. If I see a pet that has a real neat custom design that looks very much loved by their owner (nice petpage or lookup) sometimes I'm inspired to draw fan art. Or if I am friends with a Neopian and they request a pic of their pet when my "requests: OPEN" is shown on my DA account.

Q. Art trade?
A. Um, check my DA to see if I currently have any art slots open and if my art trades are open. That's where I always have my art status. If they are, then sure I'd love to! ^_^ All I ask is that you put at least a little effort into your side of the trade. I don't want a ten-minute scribble. It's not fair when I spend four or five hours on a piece and then get a mess in return. :(

Q. How long have you been drawing for?
A. Since I was a child. I was the kind of kid who got in trouble for drawing everywhere... decorating the furniture with my masterpieces when I couldn't get my hands on any paper, LOL. I still draw in class, the teachers give me weird looks or roll their eyes when they walk past and see these dragons eating each other in my exercise books.

Q. Why don't you ever draw humans?!
A. Why should I? (I get this one quite frequently, LOL.) Well, actually I do, and I'm trying to improve... I just haven't uploaded any of them. 99% of my art never gets uploaded.

Q. Can I play your accounts while you're at college?
A. Uh, no. =_= Firstly it's against rules, secondly I don't even know you and your asking for my account, thirdly my accounts are quite happy, thank you. :-P

Q. Your name's weird... Why "Koryzio"?
A. It's Herrardian (one of my invented languages) for "insane". Koryzio is the herrerasaur from some of the stories I write, like the reptilian version of me. :) Don't steal any of my Archodia stuff either by the way, it's copyright to me, thanks. I want to make my main stories for that world into a graphic novel someday.

Q. What's with the dragon-thing wearing the snazzy Matrix suit at the top of the page?
A. Uh, that's Koryzio, my persona. He's a herrerasaur.

Q. Why do you draw anthro's? I HATE anthro art!
A. Good for you... did it ever occur to you that all Neopets are technically anthro anyway? What are you doing on this site?

Q. How long have you been doing digital art?
A. Started back in May, 2006. I still shudder to see my first digital piece (ewwwwwww). And all the art I did more than six months ago seems like absolute junk. Next year I will be ashamed of the awful quality of the gallery I currently have. Funny old world.

Q. How long have you been drawing?
A. Always. Ever since I could hold a pencil (I was about two years old I think) I was illustrating my own stories and inventing my own characters. I seriously crack up with laughter when I look back at some of my childhood works, even just at the titles, "The Hairy Guy" and "The Tap-dancing Purple Flying Cow" and others. XD

Q. What programs do you use for your digital stuff?
A. I use Photoshop Elements 3 for most of my stuff, but I have GIMP as well (similar to Photoshop, but absolutely free) and I sometimes use a trial version of Vector Designer and Art Rage. On occasion I'll use Paintbrush (Apple Macintosh version of MS Paint, works much better than Appleworks). I want to get OpenCanvas, but it's not available for Apple Mac computers yet. I also use an old old old Wacom that I bought second hand (not too expensive on eBay).

Q. Want to roleplay?
A. Um, well, fact of the matter is I tend to only RP with my family and friends, since that way it's a lot easier: I can RP with them side-by-side or straight through an IM. Neomail tends to get kind of tedious, so if I'm busy I won't feel like RPing with a stranger. If I've got nothing happening though, I'd love to do some RPing, it all depends on what I'm doing that week. The only way you can find out is to ask! ;) Go ahead!

Q. What's your dream pet?
A. Ooh... that's a hard one. Well, I've always wanted a kelpie-cross and will get one of them one day, but the hypomelanistic rainbow boas are just so awesome and have been my favourite snakes since I was a child. I want to keep some sort of crocodilian one day, and a llama too. :)

Q. I meant your dream neopet?!
A. Ah, there you left out two key syllables and confused me there. XD I've always wanted a Maraquan/Faerie/Tyrannian draik (didn't matter what colour of those) but after the major change of the Neopets site and now that all the pets look different, my dream pet is a Maraquan or Darigan draik. Hopefully I'll be able to save up for both one day (and a pirate hissi).

Q. What's the best film ever?
A. Oh, yay, an easy question! LORD OF THE RINGS! RotK was the best. thing. ever. Other films I like include Jurassic Park, DragonHeart, Finding Nemo, Dinosaur, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Matrix, the list goes on and on. :)

Q. Join my guild?
A. I'm never active in those things, you know. I don't deserve to be in your oh-so-wonderful guild. :P

Q. Can you be my neofriend?
A. Okay, please don't send me random neofriend requests. They end up just sitting there and rotting on the pile of hundreds. Please only neofriend me if there is some issue where we need to know when each other is on (such as transferring a pet through the pound or roleplaying by neomail).
