Hello, there, guest. Glad to meet you. *shakes hand* I'm Des, and this is my application for The Fork on the Left. I found myself inexplicably interested in the guild, as it had everything I'm looking for in a guild, and so I decided to create a petpage to host my application (because I have a tendency to go overboard, and I felt like making a petpage, xD). So please, feel free to wander around this page, and I certainly hope that I'm accepted!

Well, in case you haven't figured it out for yourself yet, my name is Desiree. However, that's a pain to remember and type out, so please, feel free to call me: Des, Desiree, Desi, or whatever else you want. It doesn't really matter to me. ;D

how old?

Well, if you'd like to get technical, I am 15 years and 348 days. That means that, in 17 days, I'll be 16!! (Turning 16 on the 16th--amuses me more than it probably should.) Anyway, I'm often told that I look like I'm a year or two younger than I am, but I act like I'm a few years older than I am. o.O Which is decidedly odd, since I'm a child at heart, but oh well. I suppose I have an old soul and a young heart. Hm.

why TFotL?

Well, it's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for in a guild. The Fork on the Left is literate, private, active, has an open council (hoping to work towards council, xD), and seems to have fantastic members. And, of course, the theme is certainly interesting--I love the layout for the information page.

about Des

Hm...what to say. Well, I have quite an obsession with France. I will occasionally speak in random French phrases (I've completed 2 years of the language), and I hope to move there after college. I currently live in the US, which I find rather boring. I'm also in debate, which I absolutely adore. I feel as though I should have been born in the late 1800s--I love the dresses, and the whole society in the wealthy parts of New York City at the time. I hope to be a fashion designer when I graduate highschool. I'm planning on going to college in New York City. I'm also extremely random and tend to over-use smilies ^.^. My music taste is quite varied--at the moment, I love Miranda Cosgrove (Shakespeare, Adored, Charlie), Selena Gomez (I Won't Apologize, I Promise You, More), Miranda Lambert (Airstream Song, The House That Built Me, Famous In A Small Town), and Kellie Pickler (Don't You Know You're Beautiful, Rocks Instead of Rice, Lucky Girl) to name a few. However, I also listen to Carrie Underwood, The All-American Rejects, Katy Perry, and Olivia Ruiz (a French singer), along with tons more. I also love to read--The Princess Bride, Inkspell, and the Harry Potter series are my favorites (I can't stand Twilight, though). Anyway, I suppose I'll wrap up my ramble for now, xD.

picky?

In a word...yes. I'm quite picky as it is, and I've also gone vegetarian (hoping to go vegan soon), which makes things even more difficult. I'm not a fan of cake, I can't eat meat, and I just generally have a hard time finding things that I'll eat. However, I do love baby carrots, most fruits (except apples--I'll eat them, but I don't much like them), and cheese whiz. Yumm.

dream meal

Why? Are you offering? Bahaha. I crack myself up. Anyway, it would probably involve my great-grandmother's recipe for meatloaf (only made with vegetarian beef and pork), mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, and for dessert, rocky road icecream. Or a big long 6-course French meal with lots of cheese. Now I'm hungry. *grabs cheese whiz*
