Ahoy!
You meander along the bustling port market with a feeling of contentment. The sunshine is warm on your skin, the port villagers are going happily about their business, and the world seems to smile on you. Everything has been going right lately. In your state of satisfaction, you almost miss the way the market begins to fall silent. Weathered, homely faces turn toward the sea, visible down every street. The sunlight has turned a shade of orange as the sun dips closer to the horizon, sending golden sparkles dancing across the water. A black sillouhette drifts in the bay, drawing closer. If you squint against the glare of the sun, you can make out masts, sails being taken in...its a ship.The market goes dead silent, save for cloth snapping in the breeze that has kicked up. A murmur begins, passing through the crowd like a wave. A child's voice cries out happily, from his perch atop a shop roof. "It's Calypso's Treasure!" The cry rings out, pure and clear, echoed more quietly by smiling lips throughout the crowd.
Children laughing, parents smiling with a mix of indulgence and excitement, all begin the migration to the pier, going to greet the ship as she docks. Caught up in the moment, you follow along on the tide of people.
Why On?
Why do I want to adopt Ondanks so much? Well. A month or so ago, I stumbled across the lovely Ewe and fell in love with her and her petpage. She's just so...adorable! And beautiful! That was when I really started looking at poogles as potentially awesome pets. I've never owned one before, and I started cracking down and looking for poogles that were UFA. I checked on neopound, and managed to fall in love with the halloween poogle, Evuil. He was perfect. I checked his owner's page, though, and she'd been inactive for days. I neomailed her on the off chance she might come back and: lo and behold, she did! she didn't answer my neomail, though. I sent her another just in case she'd missed it. And she never signed in again, to my knowledge. Evuil is still sitting there forever UFA, and I've never heard back from his owner. I pretty much gave up at that point, since I couldn't find very good places for poogles UFA. Then, just recently, I checked neopound again, just for kicks, and saw Ondanks_ A white poogle, similar enough to Evuil that I fell in love all over again. The character that manifested in my mind is totally different, but equally awesomeful. My goal is to adopt Ondanks and develop his character, and then to hold out for either Evuil, another halloween male poogle, or a different WN poogle that I can paint halloween. The character Evuil created for me was just too good to pass up, and he is now set to be Ondanks brother. 83 It will be freakin' awesome if I can make it work.
Update: Evuil's owner is active-ish again! She's actually put him UFA with rules, so now I have a much better chance of adopting him at all. 8D I'm so happy! Now On won't be missing his brother! If I get something done on Evuil's app, I'll link to it from On's so you can see. ^^
Conclusion
So. Long story short, I love On and the character I've come up with for him, and it would be really awesome to finally have a poogle, especially one I'm already smitten by. ^^ I have big plans for him, and I will do my best to get his lookup absolutely CLUTTERED with BC trophies. 83 I think my accounts and my dedication to all my other pets speaks for itself; I would be a good owner for On. An excellent owner.
