About Tan
(Aos si: The aos sí{I pronouce it she}are a supernatural race comparable to the fairies or elves. They are said to live underground in the fairy mounds, across the western sea, or in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans)
Background: Tan is an Aos si. She is very young compared to the other Aos si. She was born in a time of peace, when humans just started out on the planet and had very basic tools. Now the humans have blossomed and are growing. The humans now outnumber the Aos si by millions and reproduce quickly, unlike the Aos si. The humans have begun to pollute the earth and many Aos si are leaving, hoping the other world will provide sanctuary. Tan doesn't want to leave; the faeries and forest animals are her friends. But as she goes to say good bye the humans drive her clan out of their mound and into the other world. Tan is now alone, thinking that the Aos si have all left.
General background:
Personality: Tan is the youngest member of her clan. Since having children is very rare and difficult for Aos si, Tan is really the only one who is around her age. She is very much like a pre-teen child, stubborn and rebellious. Because she is this young compared to the others, she does things that most Aos si don't do, like her blue hair and bright clothes (Aos si can control hair colour). She has only begun her teaching as an Aos si, so she has very little idea over what is going on and why everyone is so worried. Her powers are not yet controlled, meaning when angry her powers lash out at others. She really hates the Aos si, because she has no friends, and the adults can't understand her. She's not allowed to interact with the village children, another thing that causes her to hate the Aos Si. So she spends her time avoiding classes, and playing with the fairies and animals in the forest. She has a great talent at talking, nattering on for hours about nothing, but has an equally great talent for listening, and enjoys silence as much as she enjoys music.
Appearance: Tan has wavy long blue hair. She wears green dresses, with pink streamers coming from the waist. She has brilliant purple eyes and a golden snake tattoo curling around her fore arm. Despite her tomboy outlook on life, she wears pink ballet flats. When angered golden mist like tentacles shoot out of her hands.

Story Overview
I'm not exactly sure how I want Tan's story to progress. I have a few idea of how it will go, but none I have fallen in love with.
The one I'm leaning towards is where a washer woman(a spirit who appears washing the soiled clothing of one who is to die) starts haunting the town and Tan could befriend this spirit and the spirit helps her find her home, or she drives the spirit away and the humans welcome her.
But I could also have her meet a human who helps her, so I may just see where the story takes me.
And we come to the end…
