Long ago and far away, in a land called Neopia, there was only one type of Neohome. We didn't call them classic, because they were the only game in town. And we liked it that way. We liked only being able to see things from top-down view, to angle and manipulate things in every which way to make pretty patterns, and to have actual separations between rooms. Back then, the only homes that crashed your computer were the really good ones.

Many of these fans of the original Neohomes took to building furniture out of other furniture, to make their homes seem more realistic. (Just try building a telescope in the new homes!) This page features a small selection of the most popular ideas from these innovators in the homing community. Many of them have since demolished their homes and/or quit with the introduction of Version 2 and the discontinuation of Neohome Spotlight for Classic homes, but those that are still standing have been linked for your convenience. Those that are no longer will still be preserved here for eternity, you just won't be able to see them in all their former glory.

A lot of us in the Classical home community have found these works of art to be inspirational, which is why you will often see more than one variation of an item. We encourage idea-sparking, but look down upon actual stealing, so please refrain from doing so. If something piques your interest, the best idea is to mail the owner and ask for permission to adapt their concept. It's common courtesy after all.

Emmpathy originally started this project with the help of the members of the Neohome boards on Ackirah's page, but has since left us to pursue other endeavors and I decided to carry on her legacy.
