Character
********************************
My character is that of a lone Spirit. I'm not a True Spirit, which are mostly disconnected from the human world. I'm a Half-I'm...well, almost half mortal and half spiritual. Either way, I am a Spirit. I take it upon myself to protect the weak, though I'm mostly mistrusting of anyone, Mortal or Spirit. I have my Mark on my left rear leg, and other red marks over the rest of my body, which all glow whenever I'm mad. They are the same brilliant red my pupils are. My pupils will glow too along with the rest of my Marks...it always happens when I'm mad, or when I'm saving a Mortal or something. It can be really annoying, since the glow can sometimes give me away. Though since I'm a Half and have Spiritual-ness, as I guess you can call it, I can sorta phase through an enemy. Also, even though I am a Half-Dragon...I look almost like a Spiritual 7-tailed fox. A ghostly one. But I'm still a Dragon. Never forget that.
I am a dragon, but since I am also a Spirit, I can retain almost any form. The form I most like is my purple 7-tailed fox form. Make no mistake, I love my dragon form and looks, but am more comfortable as a ghostly fox. I can run more quickly, and it's easier for me to blend in to the think undergrowth of the forest. As a dragon, people are more likely to notice my sparkling scales, for even as a Spirit draik, I still look as if I am mortal.
Personality
********************************
My personality is very distinct. I used to be a very sweet, loving, kind Draik, back when I was Mortal. But since then I've become hard and untrusting. I love who I am-a majestic, powerful dragon-but there are parts of me I regret and don't like. I am loyal to those-however many few-I trust, and I won't yield to problems/challenges. I am dark, and I actually sorta like it. Darkness, and my Ghostly exterior hides my scars, it hides me from those who may try to mess with me. I'm not afraid, but if a fight can be avoided, I would prefer to avoid it. I tend to be bitter, dark and tough, and very rarely talk about it-I often say I can't remember the details of my past to avoid talking about it.

Story

Prologue: And so it begins...
Who am I? Where did I come from? That's for me to know; it IS my life after all. But given that you must address me somehow, call me Melo. I'm referred to as the Diamond Star. The fierce healer, and an even fiercer fighter. A Spirit. ;) I yield to no one.
Where did I come from? That's for me to know, mortal. If you must know, I never knew my parents, back when I was alive. From my first memory on, I've been alone. I've always been alone. Yet that has made me strong, made me who I am. I am wild, I am free, and I never intend on losing that freedom, or letting anyone take it away from me!
My, you're full of questions, aren't you? Not very smart of you to bother someone like me. Look, I'm tired, why don't you go bother the Pteris who live on Mystery Island? They love answering questions, especially those posed by simians like yourself.
Stupid and persistant, are you? Not a very good combination of traits. Fine, I'll tell you a bit of my story, but that's all. THEN will you leave me alone? I mean it. You will? Good. Here we go. Oh, don't just stand there. Sit down!

Life is so simple...NOT!

Dragons are magical creatures. We hold a power unlike any other. I've known this since I was born. I was always different, though. I could feel a tingling in my claws, something I knew wasn't typical for normal Dragons. My body healed incredibly fast when it was injured, and healed even more quickly if I put my tingling claws to my wounds. I knew no friends, so I did not know whether my powers worked on others as well. I was alone. With no parents, I left the sunny meadow where I supposed I'd been born, and without a glance back journeyed into the forest, just as the sun was beginning to sink below the horizon.
It wasn't long before I was shrouded in shadow, hidden from the world outside of this forest. And it also wasn't long before I began to feel like I was being watched. I growled to myself and glared into the forest around me. Nothing happened. Satisfied that I'd gotten rid of the threat, I snorted and smiled to myself. Self-confidence was my first mistake. I felt a rush of air to my back, as if someone...or something...had just run by; twirling around, I glared and breathed...fire? I didn't know I could breath fire. For a moment I hesitated in surprise, marveling at this new power I had. Surprise was my second mistake. Rain began to fall, a phenomenon I, as a hatchling, had never before experienced, and I looked to the sky in wonder. Curiousity, my third mistake-three strikes, and you're out, literally. I felt a blow to the back of my head, and everything went black.
Groaning, I sat up. How long had I been out? Wait I murmured to myself, realizing I was sitting on cold metal. Looking around, I saw I was in a large room with a single tiny window near the corner...and...I was in a cage?! Anger swelled inside me, and as I looked around again, questions poured into my head. Who? What? Where? When? How? WHY??!! Who would have done this to a newborn and why? And in a cage? What was I-someone's pet? NO! Not I!! I-
Where is it? Said a voice, rough, deep, and gravelly.
We caged it and left it in room 13B, boss, just like you said to. Answered another voice, much different than the first-it was much harder to here, and sounded more like a hiss than a voice.
Oh, how wonderful, not only am I in a cage, but I'm in lucky room #13. I rolled my eyes and looked more carefully at the room as the footsteps grew louder. All different types of medical equipment sat everywhere, and there were other cages in the room...though they held...skeletons?! Before having time to think more about it, I heard the room's door open, and instinctively glared at the newcomers.
The first to enter was a large, fire-engine red colored animal, who looked like a rather fat version of a T-Rex. He spoke in the deep gravelly voice I'd heard earlier, and was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses,
Let it out carefully, and get it strapped onto the table.
From behind him, two creatures looking like large, black winged serpents, walked towards me. One unlocked the cage door and the other grabbed my forearm. It then proceeded to yank me out of the cage, hard. I have to get out of here...now! I thought to myself.
I quickly dug my hot, tingling claws into my captor's wing. It shrieked and let go of my arm, backing away and cradling its injured wing. Like a flash, I sprang into the air and spread my wings.
You Worm!! I told you to hold it securely! Screamed the T-Rex.
Before heading towards the window, just to spite them, I looked over and spit a ball of flame into the creatures' faces. The snakes hissed in anger and the T-Rex roared, and their attention suddenly turned back to me.
Err....maybe I shouldn't have done that... I thought to myself, and before anything else could possibly happen I turned and shot towards the -blocked- I braced myself for the impact with the glass. The window shattered, and I raced towards the forest. I was out! Without a look back, I kept running. The star scattered sky overhead and the dark wilderness below was like a safe haven for a dragon like me. I was finally free again, and no one would ever take that freedom away again, EVER.

Epilogue: What Else can be Said...
Fine, I've fulfilled my promise to you. I told you a bit of my past...about ...the accident...even though it's painful to tell a story that reminds me of past pains....but that's another story, not meant to be heard by mortal ears.
Now get out. You told me you'd leave after I told my story. Getting up, good. You're learning. Maybe you're not as stupid as I thought you were. Hmm, maybe I'll permit you to come back to my lair in the future. Maybe! I make no promises. That was not an invitation.
Anyhow, I need my sleep. Now, go on, get out and let me go back to sleep.
Petpet

Petpet

My petpet is a ghost Alabriss name Eeron. E is my best friend, and, much more visibly than me, is a True Spirit. There are many different types of Spirits in this world, one of which is the True Spirit. That is, a truely, visibly, non-living being(though not like the living dead, such as a zombie) who is able to visit the mortal world and interact with its creatures. As I said, I'm not a True Spirit. E has been my best and only true friend for many moons. He enjoys lighting things on fire-the little prankster-and reading.
Why Mouse
********************************
Why Mouse/About the Applicant
Well, what can I say? Mouse is an overall good owner, and loves all her pets equally. She makes sure none are unhappy/unfed by making sure, on a monthly basis, that all her pets and neolodged and played with. She's trustworthy, and if ever she loses inspiration for a pet and no longer wants him/her, she seeks out the original owner to see if they would like their old pet back. She would be a loving owner and would make sure I was well cared for. She loves to draw her pets, though is a terrible 2-Dimensional artist(sorry Mouse). However, she still tries to enter her pets in the Beauty Contest.
Since this page is about me, though, We're going to keep the about Mouse short; if you would really like to know more about her, she has an information page here .
Behind the Nickname
********************************
This was one of the best parts of the process of making Sync's petpage. This caused all me to have to think of names/nicknames myself, which I think was a brilliant idea. Mouse thought and thought, and couldn't think of a good nickname. She then decided to create my design, and then try to think of a good nickname for me. She finished the picture and then thought again as to what my name should be. Mouse actually thought of my nickname, Melo, before she thought of the full name of my kind, Melionite. She thought, and I agree, that it sounded mysterious and dark, perfect for a Spirit.

From Mouse: I am terrible at coding, and I did not code this. A friend of mine created the background image for me(I can't thank her enough), and used Idiosyncratic's Template/Coding base to create a layout for me. I want to be sure to give proper credit where credit is due, and not claim this coding as having been created by me.
