Welcome! Studio is a goal-oriented guild that is home to a group of mature, semi-literate site-makers of the Neopian site community. Through Studio, we help each other accomplish site goals and create and maintain sites that benefit users across Neopia. By working together as a family, we hope to promote the spread of high-quality services through creativity, innovation, integrity, and professionalism.

There is a distinct comradery amongst site-makers that is fueled by our love of art, graphics, writing, and competition. Here at Studio, we feel that site affiliates can be more than just links to click; they are the homes to our inspiration and motivation to push our imaginations and express ourselves in new ways.

Guild Information

What can Studio do for me? you ask. Studio provides three primary services for its members:

1. A place for site-makers to meet and form friendships to enhance the unity of the site community
2. A safe and judgment-free space for communication between site-makers
3. Support in the development and improvement of sites as site-makers aim to:

• Add new content
• Improve old content
• Revamp their site
• Create new layouts
• Host activities

At Studio, we encourage our members to ask for constructive critiques on their sites and content. Our guild board offers an objective place for members to ask questions and receive feedback. We also provide review services where members can ask for reviews and respond to review requests anonymously.

Guild Rules

Studio is overall a very laid-back guild, but we do have some simple rules for our members to ensure the integrity and good spirits of our members.

• Members must abide by the Neopets Terms of Use at all times.
• Posts on our guild board must be semi-literate and at least two lines long. Chatspeak should be kept to a minimum.
• We ask that members be as active as possible and post on our guild board at least five times each month. The sites of each member must be updated at least once a month or be on hiatus for a known amount of time. The council will contact members who do not meet our activity requirements, have sites on indefinite hiatus, or have sites with updates over a month old.
• Members should update their Studio Agenda on a regular basis (monthly is fine). For more information on Agendas, click on the Apply tab to the right.
• Studio expects a high level of respect between its members. Drama and harassment will not be tolerated on the guild boards. Please contact a council member right away if there is conflict of any sort within the guild.

Applicant Requirements

Studio home to mature site owners with established sites geared towards the creative arts. We have a brief list of requirements that applicants must meet:

1. You must be mature, semi-literate, and respectful.
2. You must own at least 1 established site that has been open and active for over a month.*
3. You must create and maintain a Studio Agenda. Scroll down for more information.
4. You and your site(s) must not have stolen content or have a history of containing stolen content.

* Note that we occasionally make exceptions to requirement #2 and allow applicants to join if they are a new site-maker in the process of creating a site. A new site-maker should be able to prove they are serious about site-making by already having a layout with some preliminary content available for us to see.

There are many different types of sites and services in the community. Studio is aimed towards sites that offer:

• Premades: layouts, graphics, web and graphics resources, adoptables and pixels
• Requests: layouts, graphics, buttons, art, and pet customizations
• Community: site reviews, competitions, link directories, news, magazines
• Guides: games, pet trading, BD, NC values, stock market, kad feeding, restocking
• Tutorials: graphics, CSS
• Miscellaneous: untaken names, dailies pages, shop directories

At this time we do not accept sites that host chat groups, dream pets, screenies, or art/writing/personal portfolios.

Studio Agendas

Studio is a private guild, and an application submission is required for membership. Because we are a goal-oriented guild, we ask that applicants submit to us a Studio Agenda (on a petpage) that lists the site goals of the site owner. These goals should be reasonable, and can be both short-term and long-term. Your Agenda allows the members of Studio to learn more about you and your aims as a site owner, as well as help you with your future site endeavors.

Your Agenda should include the following:

• Your Name
• Your Site Name(s) and Link(s)
• A brief blurb of information about what your site offers
• A list of goals you hope to accomplish - we focus on short-term goals, but long-term goals can also be included.
• Any extra information is optional and welcome!

Our Agendas are loosely based off of the portfolio idea from our friends at The Neo Project. Note that agendas are not meant to be in place of large portfolios, but rather a simple comprehensive list of site goals. If you have a portfolio already and wish to use it for your application, we ask you devote one section of it specifically to your Studio Agenda.

Meet our Council

Studio was founded in December 2012 by three friends who love creating sites and enjoy setting and achieving goals. After much consideration, Maryann, Rico and Kate decided to start a guild that would merge both the Neopets site community and their ambitious attitudes. The friends created Studio in the hopes of inspiring and encouraging their fellow site-makers to go above and beyond with their sites and elevate the standards of the site community.
