...the life of a man-faerie revealed.

*bumps along clouds, humming a tune* Laa dee daa dee...Oh! Erm..hello there! What brings you to this part of Neopia, I have no clue, but I'm glad to see a visitor of some sort. Up here the breeze is wicked, but I bear with it. I never get visitors anymore. This place is..dead of all life. The mountains are tremendous, though, aren't they?! People tend to ignore the beauty of nature these days and meanwhile I'm up here singing a tune and thinking to myself how wonderful they -
I'm sorry, I got a little carried away there. *cough* So what does bring you here, guest? You're not another one of those photographers from National Geographic trying to take my photograph again are you? Because if you are, I swear...

Come along then, if you so choose. I'll fly you back to my place atop the mountains of the rainforest. We can have a chat about me and then switch sides so I can know a little about you as well. If I must, that is...

...the wonderful life that is me.

First and foremost, I'm supposing that you'd like to know my name. My full name is Sykourie Darwin Tretherford the Second, but if you ever call me that, you can consider yourself supper. BAHAHA!! Kidding, you know. *cough* As far as nicknames go, I like to be called Syke. This is for the general reason that, every time you address me, I'd prefer you not go through the entire 'Sykourie Darwin Tretherford the Second' thing. Save your breath, darling.

*ahem* So, we can go over some general things now that we've soon arrived at my humble abode. Please don't hesitate to stop me if I'm talking too much; I have a tendency to do things like that. I can bore you with the general stuff first-off. You know, what I like and what I don't like blah blah blah. I'm a pretty interesting fella' if you give me the chance, really.

Quiet and peaceful days
Butterflies (most of them are relation)
Junk food in pretty packaging
Teal and Pink

Those are in no particular order, of course. I love the color teal just as much as I love my family full of butterflies. Do you think I'm kidding? They may be the most peaceful of all my family (unlike the faerie side) but they still heap on the chitter-chatter when they come to visit me. And you know by now that I do enjoy a quiet and peaceful day, which cannot happen when they're around. Now, let's talk about what I don't like before I begin rambling.

Rain and gloom
Black portals that lead to nowhere
Ignorant people
My enormously long name

Self-explanatory, once again, I presume. *shudder* There's something about a black portal leading downward in a rainforest on a rainy day that makes me want to cry. I mean, where in the world do those things go?! Stupid never-ending holes in the ground...And of course, I could go on and on about ignorant people but let's just kindly get me off of that subject. If I want to be ignorant, I will be ignorant on my own time. *Hmph!*

-yawns and stretches- Well, I'd love to hear you chitter-chatter about yourself, but I'm actually pretty tired. If you want me to stay awake, I'm probably going to have to do the talking and we'll just get to you another day if you choose to visit me again. So how about I tell you my ol' life story? It's not that boring, I swear..

...how I came to be.

If we're going to start from the very beginning, I would say firstly that my mother, a faerie, had me with a butterfly, my father. I suppose I'm what you call one of those fancy schmancy 'mixed breeds.' Bahaha! I don't speak of my parents much because let's just say they're not the proudest of me. I'm on of those kids who went off and 'did their own thing', a.k.a. made absolutely nothing out of themselves. I mean, I have a hut. I have a roof over my head and it's not a hard thing finding food around a place like this. Yet, I go unloved in all meanings of the word by my lovely parents. *groan*
It's not like I leave this place very often. I lived most of my life with my Aunt Glenda on my father's side. She's mainly an inhabitant of this here rainforest, but when it gets chillier out she has to move even further South. When I was about five, I found out rather quickly that my family is not much of a family at all. I began spending what we call "Winters" alone. Then luckily, I found this humble little place and this is where I reside now. I'm okay with that. I like it here.

What's that, you ask? You're bored already? Agh, well...I might have mentioned that I'm not the best story-teller in the entire land. I'd bore you with more details about my family but I'd really prefer we not talk about them either.

By the way, have I introduced you to my pet yet? It seems he's here now. This is little Cliff. (: Oh my, what a story I have about my dear Cliff! It's an interesting one, actually....
