Calliope is finally unveiled!
After days of intense work and back-breaking labor, the owners of Calliope - a new guild based on the arts - have finally decided to open to the guild to the public! Citizens of regions all over Neopia ventured to the great unveiling, eager to see what the new guild had to offer for artists everywhere. What they found only fanned further their burning curiosity. Papers lay sprawled across the floor, some with only a few unintelligible words scribbled on them. Bits and pieces of broken CSS floated around the room in meandering, endless paths around an immobile garden gnome that stood in the middle of the room. In the midst of the chaos, three figures sat, cheery faced and exchanging bits of conversation, oblivious to their surroundings. A strand of coding inched its way out of one girl's mouth, latching onto another that had been wandering aimlessly around the room. "Oh, hello, there!" another of the girls exclaimed upon noticing the small crowd that had gathered at the door. "Come on in, and please excuse the mess; this is just a bit of a sketch room, where all of our ideas are allowed to roam free of confine," the last character explained. "But, do allow me to introduce you to us three; there's Moony, Geof, and Dima. Really, not very scary at all." The crowd eyed the gnome once again. With some reluctance, they ventured farther into Calliope's depth; on their way, they would experience laughter, joy, and inspiration. At the end of their introduction, not one of the crowd decided to leave.

The in's-and-out's of calliope times.
As with all beginnings, a short introduction is in order. And, as with all introductions, short or not, the basics come first. In this case, the basics are as follows; the Calliope Times is a biweekly guild newspaper that relies completely on its members for content. It hopes to showcase all sorts of literary abilities, which include, but are not limited to: articles, short stories, news reports, poems, and, for those who are visually gifted, comics. While everyone is encouraged to submit something to the newspaper, those who believe that they can uphold a consistent flow of work can apply for a position on the newspaper committee. More information on the subject can be found on page 4, for those who may be interested. As well as members' literary pieces, the Calliope Times will act as home to several other guild going-ons, such as Featured Artist, the themed crossword, and any other tidbits that may come with time. With that, this introduction has come to its conclusion. Hopefully, you now have a clear understand of what the Calliope Times can bring to you.
