10/16/09 - Well its officially a plot and Roxton is starring in it. :D

10/9/09 - SOUNDS LIKE A PLOT!!! There has been a new image released in the Neopets newletter featuring Roxton III.

This sounds like a continuation of the Lost Isle plot and hopefully it will take place on Lutari Island soil. :) Stay tuned for more news!!!

9/8/09 - AMAZING NEWS!!! "Lutari Island is an island off the coast of Altador that is home to the majority of Neopia's Lutaris. This paradise of brilliant feathers and sparkling pools is difficult to reach, though, so very few Neopians have ever visited it. Currently, Lutari Island is being pummeled by a huge storm, making it even more inaccessible. However, when the storm clears, Lutari Island may once again receive visitors to its shores. The mobile service of Neopets (which was the only way to acces Lutari Island) isn't active anymore. This could mean Lutari Island could be avaiable to the public soon!

8/28/09 - Added a new Lutari Shopkeeper image. I tried to widen the background so you dont see the green and white on the right side, but it didnt work. If anyone has any suggestions please contact me. :)

___There Were Lutari Out Before The First Lutari Day___

All of their acounts were frozen though. They cheated to get the Lutari. (Dont ask me how, because I have no clue.) You used to be able to type those names in on the search bar and see that Lutari, but I guess TNT earased it.

There was a Lutari in the pound too. Here is the image: it:

There was also a green Lutari out before Lutari Day. The owner got it from the Lab Ray. I guess TNT let the lutari out for a couple of seconds and then forgot to cancel it out from the Lab Ray. Then when TNT saw the Lutari out they quikly changed it into a Green Kougra. Click HERE to see it. (Then the owner turned it in a Purple Uni with the Lab Ray.)

Also, here are screenshots that PROOVES that 1 Lutari was out on Halloween night of 2005, but only for a couple of hours.

Roxton was a very important player in the Journey to the Lost Isle Plot. He is introduced on the first page of the first chapter in the comics.

____When Did The Lutari Come Out?___

The Lutari came out on Neopets between 7:30 pm - 8:00pm NST on April 19th 2006.

___Lutari Island___

NOTE: There is recent news that Lutari Island might be avaible to the public soon. So some info might be wrong about Lutari Island and the Mobile service.

Lutari Island, a mini-world, is said to be the home of the Lutari, as well as the possible home of a new faerie, an other healing springs, a new wheel, another training school, and shops. Not much is known about this world at the present time. On Lutari Island users could enjoy things like playing a wheel, heal thier pet at the healing springs, train at the training school, do special faerie quests and can even adopt a Lutari!

Here are some places on Lutari Island that I can show you where and what they are. The colored circles help point the places out.

White - Training School
Pink - News
Black - A Normal Faerie Quest (Her name is: Brianna)
Blue - Fluorescent Pools that heal your pet(s)
Grey - Shop
Brown - Bank
Red - Wheel of Happiness (It costs 100np and you can play it every 30 minutes.)
Yellow - Bog of Charity (Just like the Money Tree)

My gut feeling says that Lutari Island will be for everyone with or without a cell phone in the futrue but dont take my word on that.

On the 23rd of June, Lutari Island was relased but its covered in fog. If you want to see it go HERE.

___Neat Lutari Island Facts___

Lutari Island is a great floating mass that mysteriously drifts with the sea. Its location cannot be charted. It does not appear on any knowns maps.

Because Lutari Island's climate is warm, islanders sleep during the day and socialize at night when it's cooler.

Neopets on Lutari Island paint their bodies with fluorescent colours and adorn themselves with beautiful feathers.

___Lutari Talisman___

Everyone has a talisman on their lookup. It looks like this:

These are the only ways to get Lutari Beads:
Beads can be obtained by referring a friend who then signs up for Neopets Mobile, from Random Events as you explore Neopia, and buying them from the Trading Post, Auctions, or user's shops.
The only beads you cant sell/buy are Tongi Beads. You can only get them by refering or by being refered by another user. Those are the first 4 beads you will get if you refer people, but they will automatically go on your Lutari Talisman

Here are what each color bead does:

NOTE: There are cases where different colored beads do another colored bead's job/benefit.
Example: There is a case where a green bead increases neopoint payout after a game. (A red bead's job)

---Buy at your own risk---

Blue: Lowers non-user shop prices.
Red: Increases neopoint payout after playing a flash game.
Green: (Possibly) Increases Random Events.
Yellow: ???

If you dont have a hightech phone, or dont know anyone who wants to play it, then hope to get a bead in random events or buy some of the Trading Post/Auctions. Here is a screenie of a person getting one in a random event.

If you get all your beads on your talisman it will look like this:

IF your wondering what the talismin does it increase chance of more random events (unconfirmed), randomly giving you more np payout after a game (confirmed), and gives you discounts in the neoshops (confirmed). Here are screenies for proof.

___Adopt/Pound A Lutari___

It has been said be TNT in the Neopet Magazine that Lutaris are released like Tonus. (Randomly throughout the year) Here is what is says in the magaizine: 'A small number of Tonu and Lutaris are also released from time to time throughout the year. Whether you get one or not is mostly down to luck, but you can find out more when this happens by talking to other players on the NeoBoards or in your Guild.' This has not yet been confirmed so if you see this happen please let me know.

When Lutari are pounded they "run away" and no one else can adopt them, and they have no option to be transfered. So you cant move a Lutari to another account. :(

Note: On Lutari Day 2007 and 2008 no Lutari were released, but on Lutari Day 2009 they were released. So it is a possibility that you can get a Lutari on Lutari Day (April 19th) but they go really fast, and TNT might not release them that day.
It has also been confirmed that you CAN get a Lutari by the Lab Ray.

If you go to this user he had 378 Lutaris (yes I counted and I didnt count the Kacheeck and grarrl) It is rumored that if you abondon your Lutari it would have gone to that user.
Yes, he is frozen now but if you want to see all the Lutaris that that user had go HERE.

___Unreleased Lutari Colors___

If you went to the Advent Calendar on December 6th, 2006 you saw there was a Lutari that looked like it was in a Zombie color. (This was two years befre the Zombie Paint Brush came out)

___Lutari Details___

Issue 17 | Issue 11

This was in Issue 11 of the neopets magazine that described Lutaris.

Characteristic:
Lutaris are happy and playful critters. They are quite friendly and are always glad to make a new friend. However get one angry and let's just move on. But when they are having fun or just need a way to relax, you can either see them sliding down the icy slopes of Terror Mountain or swimming in Neopias many rivers and streams.

Fur:
The Lutari fur is very thick to help it keep warm in the cold environments where they can be found. However in warm places like the Lost Desert or Meridell the fur can be quite a hassle.

Shape:
Even though the fur is thick, the Lutari body is thin and slender, allowing it to swim and slide with remarkable speeds.

Tail:
The Lutari tail is very useful and versatile. While sliding down the mountain slope, it uses it tails to keep it balanced and maneuver while going at high speed. In the water it uses it's tail as a rudder, allowing to cut through the water while keeping control on where it's going.

Claws:
The Lutari claw is quite similiar to a Bori but still not quite that strong. However it still allows it to dig though snow and ice banks to find a warm place to sleep. When looking for food, it usually goes to the nearest body of water to look for clams or roots. Once it finds it, it uses it's sharp claws to open the clams or cut the roots.

Ears:
The Lutari ear can flatten backwards, covering the ears inside while still allowing it to go at high speeds. By doing so, the ears are protected from cold and pressure.

Head:
The head of the Lutari is actually the widest bone in it's body! Though the fur may make you think otherwise, when they found a narrow spot they'll try to squeeze their head into it. If the head fits then it's body should be able to fit though unless it has eaten too much.

___How to Get A Lutari Paint Brush___

So you probably want a Lutari Paint Brush right? Well a few people got one from the Alien Vending Machine. So far this is the only way that I know of to get a Lutari Paint Brush. If you cant get it that way you can always go to the Trading Post and buy one for 7-10 million.

___Real Life Lutari T-Shirts___

Yup, thats right you can buy and even customize a t-shirt with a Lutari on it. Just go here

(or just go to Zazzle.com), then click on the Zazzle link, and on the left sidebar where it says 'Browse' scroll down and choose Lutari. There you can choose between basic colored Lutaris (red, blue, green, and yellow). After you choose which Lutari you want, you can customize it by choosing the shirt color (The Lutari looks really bad with dark solid colors because all the white on the Lutari changes to that color too) and you can also by add your name and a 4-digit number if your want on it. After that you can preview it and choose to buy or not.

A: You can get a Lutari three ways.
1. By getting a lucky zap by the lab ray.
2. Look in the news to see if TNT will release some soon. Try checking on Lutari Day ,April 19th, because that is the most common day that Lutari will be at the 'Create A Pet' on the top of your sidebar. NOTE: TNT doesn't always release Lutari on April 19th.
3. Have the Lutari Mobile Game on your cellphone and create a Lutari there.
