^^ Welcome to Stuck in Muq, a scammer guide for Muq. Unlike our sister petpage, Better Know a Blah, this is more of a general info dump and I'm not really expecting it to be updated regularly because I don't think I'll have quite as much luck bumping into this character.

Edit: Muqtada is now a frozen account, as of mid-May, 2009. However, "Bunneh" is still active, though I haven't found her newest account yet. I believe she's still scamming other users and using MIA to do so. The newest profile for her MIA account announces that she is selling game avatars and trophies. Therefore, I believe it's appropriate to out her MIA now. (No, I'm not going to go back and unblur all of the screenies, at least not right now. D8) The sn is "Mental Evil". Please keep an eye out. If anyone tells you they can't talk to you over neomail and needs to chat over some other IM service, assume they're trying to take advantage of you.

Please don't reproduce any parts of this petpage without my permission and/or the permission of the individuals who have submitted screenies & stories to me.

/ / Once upon a time...

I'm beginning to think I'm a scammer magnet... I found this scammer while looking into a lead about Blah. I do feel a smidge guilty because...this person kind of had to tell me they were a scammer in order to avoid being pegged as Blah after they gave me a false alibi. That said, if what they claim to have done is true, I don't really feel like I should keep the information to myself.

I received this person's username after an incident occurred on the AC which involved a pet with a Mootix. The pet was a very basic yellow Eyrie and didn't have the most desired name. It was being lent through the pound to various users when it was sniped. It was initially believed that Blah had sniped the pet because he contacted the lender (not from the account that sniped the pet) almost immediately after the incident happened. If the first part of this story seems familiar, it was a pretty well known incident that happened in the AC and it was part of Better Know a Blah until the events below took place.

I took the word of the numerous strangers who told me that the account who took the Eyrie was Blah and given the recent accusations against him about pet sniping, it fit the bill pretty well. Until Blah's petpage took off...(this is why I'm asking people to start sending in more proof before I post usernames. xD)

The user who took the Eyrie contacted me from their main account and told me that they weren't Blah. I immediately removed their username from the petpage and investigated the matter. Here's the entire conversation:

I'm refraining from posting usernames outside of the screenies as much as possible. This account has actually been frozen, which I will explain later.

I asked if Etamby (above) could contact me from the account with the Eyrie, which they did:

I asked if she could sent me the screenie she mentioned in her very first neomail. This was the screenie that she sent me:

I had a problem with this screenie almost immediately. The sent time listed on it didn't coincide with a couple things. For starters, if you look at either screenie from Blah's petpage posted/sent by Frsuspended, you'll notice the date reads April 4th. That was the day when I got Muq's screen name, meaning Muq already had the Eyrie by April 4th (which I did see on the account that very day). So, why on earth would she have a screenie (from Blah, nonetheless) about trading her supposed battledome pet for this Eyrie that Blah supposedly had...on April 8th? x) Let's continue...

^^^ Take note of these stats.

And with that the conversation ended for the day. I kept my suspicions to myself. Between this conversation and the next, I got in contact with the original owner of the Eyrie. They confirmed that it was Muq who plucked the Eyrie from the pound, not Frsuspended. They had no idea what battledome pet Muq was talking about. The owner also told me that they did contact Muq about the Eyrie and whether or not they could get it back. The response was: *I have no idea what you're talking about. :D*
Sorry, having trouble with quotes so I'm using asterisks.

Keeping in mind what Muq had said earlier about not knowing who the pet originally belonged to, I asked:

I should also note that at this point, I believed Muq was lying to me about everything since their timelines were off and I had a problem with the pet information they gave me, which I will get into shortly. So for this length of time, I figured they were Blah since they couldn't tell me anything truthful about anything I asked. All of the "huns" they were throwing at me were a bit puzzling though.

So, I know I'm not getting anywhere with this character at this point so I decide to call them out on a couple lies they tried to spoonfeed me.

I explained to them that petpages are always kept on site, regardless of whether the pet is frozen or not. If you'd like to view the petpage for yourself, click here. You can clearly see that it's not a battledome pet...or anything terribly special for that matter. The shoryu isn't on Frsuspended's account either. Dx I then asked if they could explain the lie and the only thing they could say was *Im not blah o.o*

So now Muq starts to close down so I give them my instant messenger screen name. I also kept the original owner of the Eyrie up to date with the information I was getting while this was going on.

The conversation moved off site (which I saved because I didn't want to take any immediate screenies). I feel a little off posting instant messenger names so I've blurred them...for now. What caught my immediate attention was their profile information.

The longer blurred name belongs to myself.

I'm gonna cut the next part short because it's an hour long discussion about her photo album and why, during our conversation, was she was sending me links to one photo host but on Neopets, she was posting the same photos through a different image host. (So essentially why she needed two different image hosts for the exact same pictures.) I wanted direct access to her album or her to post the award on a petpage, but she was using image host A for our instant message conversation (and regardless of whether any links looked friendly, I wasn't going to follow them; the photo links posted in the instant message conversation also belonged to a private album) and posting the images on Neopets from image host B and it just seemed strange. xD If that doesn't make sense, it's fine. It's irrelevent. (She was concerned with me connecting the URLs in our conversation to the ones on her petpage and me reporting her to TNT, btw. That's why she had two photo albums on two sites.) xP The point is eventually she let me into her private photo album and there were lots of screenies in it from past accounts, some about scamming. Although it looks like some of the scamming screenies may have been a prank on another user...

I don't know what the deal between her and Jason was but it looked like she might have caught him trying to scam one of her side accounts. =.= Irony... We talk more...

This is assumably copied and pasted from her inbox, which would explain why she had a neomail from Blah to tamper with.

I informed the owner of the Eyrie of Muq's instant messaging screen name (Muq also requested to talk with her) and Muq told the owner that the Eyrie had actually been AAed. The owner and myself were posting our conversations with Muq in our own chat, so here's some information she sent me. x) BTW, we were copying and pasting what Muq was saying so I tried to clarrify who was speaking in the screenies.

And that's about all we got out of her. She did agree to return the pet in May after I threatened to post our conversation...she forgot about the lender and apparently lent one of her avatar pets to another account (which is now frozen). Forgot in less than a week...ain't that a shame. The deal was May so...tough luck. To quote a certain someone, 'Life aint fair D:

Oh, I did get this in my inbox a couple days later:

x)She's referring to Etamby I had nothing to do with their account getting frozen, but I do find it amusing. Muq isn't their main, btw. They move around quite frequently and like to go by "Bunneh".

Also, I can't confirm how accurate all of this *I scammed such-and-such* information really is, however it was confirmed that Bunzeh was the account that sent Anuarisa the award that had her temporarily frozen.
