I just joined the guild. What do I do?

What is the guild about anyways?
» Stars Hollow was created July 30, 2001 and its all about Gilmore Girls. We have awesome members and activities.

Do you have rules in the guild?
Not really, just be nice to each other and don't talk about spoilers on the message boards cause not everyone reads them and don't spam on message boards. One word messages will be deleted (example. hi, lol, bye).

Council rule: To mantain your position on council you must continue to be active in the guild, since there is many other members would who also like to be on council. In less you talk to be about absence ahead of time : ) If you no longer feel like you want to be on council or have no time you can step down too.

Remeber its not the title of rank that defines you!

Whats the newspaper?

The 4 staff (they have direct access to changing it) has already been chosen, however *anyone* can write articles or submit art.

What's SPAM?
» SPAM is Short, Pointless, Annoying Messages. Having just a smiley in a message is also spam. Messages that say "Is anyone here?" is considered spam since if people are there, they will be talking, so it's pretty useless. It just gets very annoying if it happens many times. As a basic rule, have messages with a purpose. We will overlook SPAM if it doesn't happen too often. One word messages will be deleted (example. hi, lol, bye).

How do you move up ranks?
» Be active in guild events, donating can get you ahead donate to starshollow and talk on the board (roughly outlined below.)

I have enough posts and I've donated lots and participated lots! Why haven't I moved?
» Council members have to physically promote you its not automatic. You will get moved shortly.

Where do donations go?
» You can donate to our guild account, starshollow. There's a shop with normally priced stuff in it you can purchase or if you want to just send neopoints or many items use the trade lots set up. Donations are used as prizes or sold for np to buy prizes with.

I put a banner up, where's my codestone?
» Someone checks every couple of days, don't worry you'll get one. If you think you have been overlooked neomail a council member.

How do I become a council/sub-council member?
» Be friendly and active. When a position is available submit an application form and the council members will decide the best candidate for the spot. (Things we like to see on application: whatcha done in the guild, what you do outside of neopets, age, html/css skills)

Why don't you play the Gilmore Girls theme song?
Because every other gilmore guild has it, and we can change up the music and expose you to new songs.
