MAGICAL MENAGERIE ADOPTION AGENCY.

They made their way back up the crowded street to the Magical Menagerie. As they reached it, Hermione came out, but she wasn't carrying an owl. Her arms were clamped tightly around the enormous ginger cat.

That was a matter of opinion, thought Harry. The cat's ginger fur was thick and fluffy, but it was definitely a bit bow-legged and its face looked grumpy and oddly squashed, as though it had run headlong into a brick wall. Now that Scabbers was out of sight, however, the cat was purring contentedly in Hermione's arms.

About the Agency:
Here you will find pets looking for a new forever home to go to. Many of them are foster pets that have been rescued from the Pound and pampered a little by caring foster carers to improve their chances of being offered a good home. Just like Hermione, you may find a pet you never knew you wanted at the Magical Menagerie.

I am especially interested in listing pets with Harry Potter related names, pets that can be adopted by accounts younger than 4 months and lab rats/starter pets (basic colours). You can see the pets currently up for adoption here.

Pound Puppies.
Below the listings of pets for adoption is a special section dedicated to pets that are 'stuck' in the pound. No application at all is required for these pets. They are already in the pound waiting for somebody to come along and rescue them. Pound Puppies are here.

I will be happy to list your pet on this page, whether you are a foster parent rescuing waifs and strays from the pound or whether you need to find a new home for a beloved pet for any reason. Just neomail Spinnersfriend with the full name of the pet and whether it is up for adoption or trade. You should include details of the type of application required, or what pet you would like to trade for, on the pet's lookup.

Browse through our listed pets. Click on a pet's picture to view its lookup. Any special requirements for applications should be shown there. A very simple neomail application is usually all that is required, but do check. If you cannot find a pet you like here, come back another day and look again; or you can widen your search by visiting affiliated agencies via the links at the bottom of the page.

Pound Fees:
The only fee you will have to pay is the adoption fee charged by the Neopian Pound. An estimated figure is given for each Neopet listed. If any owner asks you for neopoints or items to adopt their pet they are breaking Neopets' rules. Please let me know if any of our owners does this so I can delete their pet from the agency.

Under 4 Months?
These colours can be adopted or transferred (in or out) by accounts younger than 4 months:
Blue, Brown, Checkered, Glowing, Green, Invisible, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Shadow, Silver, Skunk, Speckled, Split, White and Yellow.
The pet must also be level 1 or 2 and not a Limited Edition or Restricted species (i.e. Chomby, Cybunny, Hissi, Kiko, Koi, Jetsam, Poogle, Tonu, Lutari, Draik and Krawk).

Trading?
The agency does not encourage the unbridled trading of pets. If you have seen the feeding frenzy that is the Neopian Pound board you should understand why. If you would prefer to trade your pets I will try to include some handy links to trading agencies at the bottom of the page.

Pet Classifications:

HP = Potter Pets: A name linked in some way to the Harry Potter books.

Lab = Labrats: Pets currently being treated by the lab ray. Their colour/species/gender could change suddenly whilst they are in labbing, so check on them occasionally to see the changes.

SP = Starter Pets: Good names and basic colours that can be nurtured or labbed into your dream pet.

U4 = Can be adopted by accounts under 4 months.
