You want to learn a sweet, little technique I use when I visit the Scratchcard Kiosks? If so read on... Note: I will probably change this a million times rewording or editing errors, but the concept I use will always be the same. I hope its easy to understand and helps you make alot of neopoints. If you have a success story; want to make a comment; or you dont understand something please neomail oldcardtrader. I will either fix the page to help you understand or neomail you back. One way or the other you will get an answer. Please understand I can not be expected to answer all Neomails, but I sure will try. Also, if you write a comment, you might just find it on this page someday. :) Ok, first off, what are scratchcards and how can I make money on them? Scratchcards are exactly what they sound like, they are cards you scratch. DUH! PLEASE SCRATCH RESPONSIBLY!!! I would hate to leavea pet homeless because an owner went bankrupt from buying and scratching too many scratchcards. Now that's said...There are nine spots on every scratchcard. You get to scratch 6 of those 9 spots in hopes of getting 3 of a kind or three matching windows. If you do get 3 of a kind, you will win that prize. There are 3 different Scratchcard Kiosks, the first showed up on Terror Mountain in the Ice Caves along time ago. Then came the other two, which was first I forget, but they are the one in the Haunted Woods Deserted Fairgrounds and another in The Lost Desert City of Sahkmet. I have placed pictures of each card at the top of this page and now I will show you a table of cost and time intervals, also of the amount of neopoints and rare items that can be won. I can't remember where I found it, but I know it was someones gallery.Update I found the gallery! However, in theory any card choice should work. *NOTE:THIS JUST IN...,i_deal has sent me word that the desert scratchcards are fixed! Can you imagine? So they will not work with my technique. Now as far as I know the Terror Mountain Scratchcards are not predetermined, I am on my way now to check the haunted scratchcards to see if they are, so stay tuned. A bit of time passes...Well I looked and as far as I can tell the desert is the only one that is predetermined to win or not. Which means no matter what blocks you decide to scratch, it is already decided whether its a loser or winner. So, they cannot be included in my technique, but I will leave them on the page anyways, unless or until someone says its confusing. I did, however, view the sources for both the haunted and terror mountains cards. I can find no evidence that either are predetermined. If you have proof otherwise, please send it to me. Alright, You are bored reading all this...What is "My Technique"? I have tried many different ways to insure a win with scratchcards and its impossible, unless you are cheating! But, if you try my technique and use it faithfully, for lets say two weeks and DO NOT deviate from it, you should, in theory, make a profit. Please Note Again: I can not be held responsible for neopoints lost while using my technique, as I am not forcing anyone to try it, I am merely stating that I have made a major profit from it and so have many of my friends. Step 1=Obtain the 5 scratchcards. You are allowed to scratch 5 cards a day. The first one you will obviously get at the kiosk. As I said before I used Race to Riches, primarily because they were the cheapest and the winnings are better. Now, since I started doing research and sharing my technique with friends, and they shared with their friends and so on...the cost of RTR cards have gone up a bit and might go up even more. (My contribution to the economy and stock market, lol) After buying your 1st card from the kiosk, use the Shop Wizard or SSW for my fellow premium users, to find the least expensive cards available. You will need to purchase 4 more cards. See Step 2. I have sniped cards for 10 nps, so be patient. I try not to spend more than 700 per card. Again, this may change with time. Step 2=Scratching This step is very simple, but its also the most important part!!! Its where the law of probability comes in. VERY IMPORTANT...You must scratch the same 6 spots on each card!!! Also you must scratch all 5 cards consecutively. Why this is important is because...ummm...its part of MY TECHNIQUE! lol Remember, do not change spots in the middle of your cards, stick with the pattern you chose for your first card. Hint: I like to scratch the same six spots every single time, but I researched it alot (like for a year), and as long as you play the same six spots on any given day, you should make a profit. Step 3=Reap the Rewards Continue to do this regularly and you should make profits. There are days when I scratch that I make 20,000 nps or more. However, there are also days when I make absolutely nothing. Do not get discouraged if you fail to win right off the bat, or you have a few bad days, trust me, I lose sometimes too. But since I started scratching...I have made a boatload of neopoints. No, I am not wealthy, mostly because I spend it as fast as I win it. If you want to keep track of your spending and your profits, keep a diary like I did on notepad. I wrote down how much I spent for the cards, what I scratched on each card, and what I won or what happened to me on each card. Let's say I won 10,000 or 2,500 or nothing. Sometimes I only won snowballs, or plushies, but even they brought me some nps. I spent alot of time and effort researching, collecting data, years of trying this myself and getting other neopians opinions and comments.
