Story

I sat up and looked around, this was my hundredth day in the pound.
It was awful, the Uni was trying her hardest to keep us happy, but there were way too many of us.
We had either been abandoned because of our names or because we weren't Limited.
Probably ten people came in to the pound, but they were mostly newbies.
A group of Neopians walked past, I sniffed the air, all Neopets could tell how long a Neopian had been here.
Something was off, I sniffed the air again...
My eyes widened, a Neopian came up to me and tilted her head, she had obviously been here for years.
She smiled, and called the Uni, ~I would like to adopt this Techo,~ She said.
The Uni was in shock, ~O-Of course,~ she helped me out of my box, and told us to follow her.
We went to the desk, ~Sign here and you can go home with your new pet.~
I watched as the forum was filled out, ScarieFaerie hmm...
It was different, I liked it.
She turned to me and smiled, ~So your name is Sophia?~
I nodded timidly, I looked behind me worried she'd throw me back in.
She followed my gaze, ~You won't go back in there, I promise.~
The Uni handed the Adoption certificate to ScarieFaerie, ~There you go, enjoy your new life,~ The Uni smiled at me.
We left the pound and never looked back.
