Code of Conduct

I. ON COMMUNITY

1.1: All members, regardless of rank, are expected to treat each other with respect. Each individual has something to contribute to the whole.

1.2: Commenting on another member's roleplay post is permitted and expected. Asking for critique is strongly encouraged, and those giving critique should be helpful.

1.3: Members are expected to have a positive attitude. Although venting is welcome, one member's mood shouldn't bring down the entire community.

1.4: Sovereignty is side account friendly. Side accounts which join in addition to a main account will remain under the "unknown" rank and don't add to the total member count.

II. ON ROLEPLAY

2.1: When more than two members are involved in a roleplay, the original posting order (original poster, second poster, third poster, etc.) should be adhered to. If a member is absent, do not skip his or her turn without permission.

2.2: All roleplay is expected to stick to a PG rating.

2.3: Powerplaying is forbidden, meaning that you may not control other members' characters. However, you may powerplay to a minimal extent should you and your roleplay buddy agree beforehand. In combat, you may imply your intended effect, but you can't state it matter-of-factly.

III. ON CHARACTER

3.1: Your character must have a realistic appearance. Remember that certain appearances come with a price. Blue-eyed white cats are generally deaf. Tortoiseshell toms are sickly and incapable of fathering kits. Albinoism lends itself to a light sensitivity.

3.2: Your character must be believable. The easiest way to achieve that is to answer all of the "why" questions that could be asked. Why is the cat timid? Why is he ambitious? Why does she want a family? Flaws are absolutely necessary.

3.3: If in the higher or middle class, your cat will have one power, and that power will be as limited as it is strong. Certain powers will not be allowed, such as mind control, and all powers should be specialized.

IV. ON PENALTY

4.1: A member sweep occurs at the beginning of each month. Swept members will receive a notification explaining why they were swept and are welcome to reapply. To best avoid being swept, be sure to contact Palm if you expect to be absent. Otherwise, all members are expected to post at least once every two to three days.

4.2: Members will be deleted and/or banned from Sovereignty if they plagiarize, are constantly disrespectful toward other members, or if they frequently breech this code of conduct in or out of roleplay.

V. ON APPLICATION

5.1: All applications must be on a petpage. Make sure your applications are well-organized, easy to read, and free of written error.

5.2: Your membership application is temporary. Once sent in, it'll be reviewed by Palm, posted on the guild board, and then reviewed by two or more members. The collective opinion will ultimately determine whether or not you are accepted.

5.3: Character applications are permanent and act as a reference sheet. This application may be altered as the roleplay progresses, and the "last post" section must be maintained.

5.4: Council applications are expected to be of supreme quality. Palm alone will select council members, and those selected must show the highest levels of dedication and commitment.

Plot

Not long after Firestar breathed his last, a group of cats banded together. They were united by their powers, what were inherited from their parents, who were themselves either chosen by StarClan or The Dark Forest for the great battle. This next generation of powered cats rose up, and through their revolution, the four Clans became one. Under their leadership, the entire Warriors system was turned upside-down.

The Clan is now divided into three classes: the higher, the middle, and the lower. Only powered cats are allowed to train to become warriors, and only those of the highest class can rise to become leader. Meanwhile, the non-powered lower class bears the brunt of hard times, and as that lower class continues to increase in number while the pure-blooded higher class dwindles, sleeping dogs threaten to stir...

Additional Features

Activities

In addition to roleplay, Sovereignty provides its members with a handful of activities to participate in. These activities include a Warriors Name Game, a writing prompt, and more! If a member is stuck waiting on a reply or just wants another chance to exercise his or her creativity, these are available and active.

To see all the fun, click HERE.

Guides

Should a member ever need help with a character or an in-universe element, we offer many handy guides. A herb guide, a naming guide, and others are at hand for Sovereignty's members. When creating a character or typing up a roleplay post, these can be incredibly useful and checking them can never hurt.

Pokepage

Our recruitment boards have taken on a life of their own! Common recruiters or soverstalkers have their names forever emblazoned upon the all-important, inside-joke-based Pokepage. Set in a parallel universe, each contributor is either a trainer or a pokemon and their new names facilitate many a laugh.

Purchasing

Sovereignty hosts a system of currency known simply as "points." Points are earned through activity, such as posting on the guild board, advertising, or participating in activities, and it's through points that members can create additional characters. Because of the point system, we are unlikely to lose half of our cast should a single member disappear. Although the idea is a more controversial one, this method is tried, true, and easy to get the hang of.

Liquid Time

To avoid having characters locked in "roleplay limbo" as you await a reply, Sovereignty permits the use of liquid time. In short, this means that you may have multiple roleplays per character all at the same time. This is done under the assumption that each roleplay is truly taking place at different points in time, and the chronology of them is up to you and your partners. Liquid time is by no means required, however, and members are allowed to limit their characters to one roleplay.

For liquid time, there are a few limits. All roleplays must take place in the given season. Additionally, once your character receives a name change or rises in rank (even if it's mid-season), you may not roleplay a time before the change. In that same vein, once a significant plot point (such as a battle) comes to pass, no roleplay may take place before it.

{ Secret Page }

The Secret Page. Many have searched relentlessly for it to no avail. The link has been oh-so-secretly hidden on one of our pages, just waiting for you to find. Will you be able to discover this mysterious page, or will it be a fruitless search? GOOD LUCK. ~leaf 8)
