Edit (April 20th): Thank you Moon for including me on the finalists list! There's a few things out of date on here, but I've stopped updating. I do have my Khnim UFA now, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my Aishas, and regardless of whether or not I am chosen for Shattered, I think a few of them could use a better owner, instead of waiting for me to finish making pages for my favourites first. I'd love to keep all of them, but I also want to focus on what matters most to me.
Everything about Shattered though is still up to date.(:

Edit (April 8th): Just got my tablet yesterday, and have been doodling like crazy.xD
My art gallery in progress may be viewed here.

Disclaimer: I was in no way asked to create this application, it was entirely my own decision.

Waiting on my tablet; all the art on this page was drawn by hand and recoloured in Gimp.

Chapter 1 of The Dreamweaver

A chill wind picked up and ruffled the robes of the apprentice. It numbed his hands and he fumbled with the black silk coverings, taking care not to drop the Seeing Glass.
It's going to be another grey event, the elder quietly murmered. He stared straight ahead into the inky blackness and did not move.
The apprentice shivered and held the glass to his chest tightly. The winds from Beyond continued to pull at his robes, mocking him, taunting him lest he should drop the glass. He forced himself to remain still and squinted into the darkness. Perhaps they weren't coming?
But no, there was a faint twinkling, a glimmer in the shadows that started to grow and drove the winds to retreat, they quickly fled the grove as suddenly as they came. The hushed stillness gave way to a slight buzzing, the sky glowed brighter and multi coloured balls of light came closer and filled the grove with warmth. He could see the white robes of the elder clearly now, the light reflecting off of the gold trimming and into his eyes. He blinked, and suddenly they had arrived.
The newly born Vey were drifting into the Hallowed Grove, pulsating globes of light in every colour giving way to their slender forms. They were unveiled one by one, and the apprentice held his breath. To see such perfection, yet untainted by this world... The corners of his eyes begin to prickle.
It is time, the elder stepped forward after the last of the Vey had drifted in. Let the Naming begin! He held out his hand toward the apprentice and waited.
The apprentice started. Y-yes, sire. He reluctantly relinquished his hold on the glass. The elder slid the glass from its silken covering and proceeded to the group of young Vey. Without instruction they lined up and watched the elder's approach, their lumonious eyes blinking owlishly in silence.
He stood before the first Vey and cut a lock of hair from his crown, then dropped it onto the face of the glass. The hair dissolved and the glass glowed a murky green. Jagged Edge, defender of dreams and protector of the innocent, however, not innocent yourself. You will one day rue your very birth, but make a lasting difference in the lives of those among you. The elder boomed as he looked into the glass. You are to wear the robes of Dreamseeker! Forever more this shall be your fate.
So you have said, so let it be. The apprentice echoed and wrapped folds of deep green cloth around the Vey before the elder. The elder proceeded to the next solemn figure, and cutting a lock of hair, he determined her future. They continued in this vein for nearly three quarters of an hour, when it was finally time to Name the last of the new Vey.
She was leaning slightly, fiddling with blades of grass between her toes when she felt the disapproving gaze of the elder before her. She quickly straightened but made no other move to acknowledge his presence. Still frowning, he reached forward and cut a lock of her hair, then sprinkled the black strands upon the face of the Seeing Glass. The glass began to glow a bright red, and just as he opened his mouth to begin reading her Name, it let out a high pitched scream and shattered into a million pieces. The elder gasped and threw up his arms to deflect the shards, but the younger Vey just stood there and let the glass strike her in the face. The apprentice covered his mouth in horror, unable to tear his eyes away. The once powerful Seeing Glass, the most precious relic of the Vey Clan, now lay in sparkling bits at the feet of one of their own. What would happen now? How would they survive not being able to See anything?
The elder shook with fury. You accursed wretch! What have you done! he bellowed and glared at the small form before him. You have destroyed the pride of your people, you have torn out the roots of our future! You have made a mockery of all that we stand for, you terrible, vile, disgusting thing! You shall be called Shattered Glass, she who will destroy everything. Forever more this shall be your fate!
So you have said, so let it be, the apprentice echoed then fainted into darkness.
Name: Shattered Glass, is a clan name. On Naming Day, she shatters the Seeing Glass when the leader of the Vey attempts to Name her. He is unable to tell her future as a consequence, and she is ostracized for not knowing what her path should be. According to Vey culture, everything is predestined, and no one should stray from their path. Her name forever marks her as the one who will destroy this logic.
Species: Vey, a clan of Dreamers. They are born on the wind, and brought to Vey Grove fully grown, they have no baby or youngling forms.
Age: 3 years
Markings: When the Seeing Glass is destroyed, bits of shards fly into Shattered's face and embed themselves into her forehead. They glow teal like her eyes, and she wears her bangs long to hide them.
Occupation: Dreamsweeper, an introductory course into the ways of Vey life, youngsters only serve a term of six months and then they may begin their apprenticeship. However, Shattered was never Named, so she is unable to take up the robes of another occupation. Dreamsweepers are responsible for cleaning up after scattered dreams, wouldn't want anyone to get up and trip over old dreams in the morning.
Petpet: A Mistwalker named Socks. Eats socks. When he yawns, mist comes out of his mouth that puts people to sleep.
Petpetpet: A Spinner becomes attached to Sock's tail at the Glowing Rift, birthplace of all Spinners. These are the creatures that the Dreamstockers work with in the Hall of Dreams. They swing on webs, glow different colours, and read items to find out the type of dream required. Then they swing from shelf to shelf to find the right dream.

It is here I must interrupt the reading of this case to better explain the workings of these creatures called Vey. This information was obtained in a top secret, very dangerous manner, so I cannot stress enough to you the confidence in which you are being trusted. Indeed, by reading any further you put yourself at risk, which may I remind you, I left numerous warnings on the cover sheet. Are you still here? Very well then.
Vey are a tall, long limbed, willowy species, however, we are still uncertain as to their exact physical appearance. They wear long robes of various colours that cover themselves from head to toe. The colouring of their robes signify occupations. Here is a listing of current jobs:
According to the Vey, it is a disgrace to leave oneself exposed or to not proudly display your occupational hues. This form of ridicule is used strictly for criminals and outcasts. Every Vey has a purpose and a plan for their life, as decided on Naming Day.
This is how things have been done for as long as Vey memory extends. They do not deviate from these workings, and such idle babbling of doing so is treason of the highest degree. They do not condone free thinking of any sort, they will only do as the clan leader dictates.
Now this clan of Dreamers, actually live in the Agency, what appears to be a massive building floating in midair. Whether or not this is actually a building, or truly floating above the clouds, our sources are still trying to find out.
First of all, the Agency is filled with many lands. Every door opens to some place new, and one is never able to return the way one came. So if you are walking along and happen upon a pit of molten lava and a fire breathing dragon is pondering the meat content of your bones, well, you would simply have to run very quickly until you chanced upon the exit. And then there are some doors, that open to places like the Hall of Dreams, and the door doesn't disappear after walking through. Yet the Vey insist you cannot turn back and use the same passage, after all, that is why it is called an entryway, and not an entryandexitryway.
Secondly, it is quite debatable whether or not the Agency is actually floating. There is a gate before the edge of a cliff, and this is the way into the Agency. One simply shows their work identification to the guards, then walks through the gates, straight off the cliff mind you, but instead of falling, poof! They are suddenly at the Agency's front doors. Now, either the Agency floating in the sky is a mirage, or existing on the ground is. Perhaps we are all just floating through space and don't know it.
Chapter 2 of The Dreamweaver

Her colour was grey. It wasn't that she was upset or miserable, she wasn't either of those. As a matter of fact she was nothing at all. Apathetic, really. She simply drifted through life, a meaningless existence, occasionally bumping into-
HEY!
Shattered jumped back as a mop splattered the wall next to her, barely missing her head in the process.
Watch where yer going, girlie! Don't want another mark on my record. Yvan grumbled as he sized her up. Whatcha moping around for?
She watched the water dripping down the steel plated wall. Was the entire building made of steel? Then it must be very heavy... how did it float?
Oi missy! I'm talking to you! Yvan waved his hand in front of her face and she continued to ignore him. His gaze softened. Listen, I know your angry with me, but isn't this taking it a bit too far? No reply. Aw, c'mon now, he ran a grubby hand through his mustache, I didn't mean to make them so offended. You have to admit it was a reasonable question, I simply wanted to know why we shouldn't have breakfast before dinner, after all, it makes much more sense-
Shattered clamped a hand down over his mouth and bent to hiss in hs ear. Do not. Mention. This. Here. She was fuming and biting her toungue to keep from saying any more, it wouldn't do any good to lose control of her emotions again, especially when she was so close to being accepted this time, she could feel it.
And is this what you two are doing that keeps you so otherwise occupied with anything but your work?
She hastily turned around and felt her stomach drop at the site of the elder. I-I'm sorry sir, she shamefacedly stammered and bowed low, It won't happen again.
He harrumphed and strode away muttering, Last in her class... more like the entire Agency really. She watched his white robes disappear around the corner and sighed forlornly. Who was she kidding? He would never accept her.
Yvan nudged her side. Hey kiddo, cheer up. Who really cares what that old grump thinks anyway? His eyes roamed around the hall until he caught sight of a foot print in the water mess his mop had made. Hey! You know why they call 'im Lightening Foot? He grinned up at her.
She cocked her head sideways at him. Because he can run really fast?
No! He was struck by lightning as a child- in the foot! He let out a guffaw and Shattered's face twisted.
That's not funny, Yvan! He could have been seriously injured, or even killed! Just what would the Vey have done without a leader?!
Hey-hey, I'm just pulling your tail, no need to get your stockings in a bunch! Yvan chortled and wiped tears of mirth from his eyes.
She had known Yvan almost since the beginning, he had been the only one to care when he saw the younger Vey constantly put down and ignored by the others. No one had wanted to associate with that freaky thing with the glass stuck in her forehead, but he did. He always tried to encourage her, told her to think things out for herself. She took his advice once and tried asking questions, and was punished severely for it. She almost hated him then, had he not been the one to comfort her tears, sing her songs in the alcove, and entrust all his secret plans and ideas to her alone. He was an outcast just like her, being born unlike any other Vey, as round as they were tall, as ruddy as they were fair- or at least rumoured to be, no one knew what the Vey actually looked like, their heavy robes hid all their features from not only the world, but themselves as well. And he had Notions. They are a dangerous thing to have, the Vey insisted, these Notions. The one true Notion that led to Yvan's permanent casting out was his mutterings on the Dark Hollow. He claimed to have traveled there himself, said they got it all wrong. The Dark Hollow was not dark at all, it was Very Dark. They refused to rename the place to the Very Dark Hollow and instead condemned him to eternal servitude as janitor of the Agency.
So you been working on it?
Working on what? Shattered was still miffed with his lacksadaisical attitude.
Disappearing! You gotten any better? You know it makes the others burn with envy when they see an unrobed girl besting the greatest of them. He beamed with pride. C'mon now, why don't you show me?
She closed her eyes and slowly let go of all her emotions, didn't think of anything, just stood there. Felt the air brush past her as Yvan muttered, Huh? Now what was I doing here? Yes, she was definitely a master of Disappearing, the only thing she was good at. It was quite nice actually, to be able to walk right through a crowd and not be noticed. Now she wasn't actually invisible, mind you, it's just that without thoughts or direction, after a while one can disappear into the background. Ever been reading a particularly interesting novel, and no matter how loud she yells, your mother cannot get your attention to get up and go walk the dog? That's what Disappearing is like, only in the reverse sense. The world remains and only you Disappear.
Shattered left Yvan mopping in the corridor, happily humming to himself, and drifted down the hall until she reached a certain door. She stood in front of it, and pondered her next move. Perhaps today would be the day they really found out. Would she be thrown from the clan altogether and left to die in some nameless wasteland with nothing but her empty thoughts to keep her company? But the allure was too great and she turned the cold steel handle.
She slipped in quietly, taking care to Disappear all the while, lest anyone notice her intrusion. She held her breath a moment and looked around. Nothing but yards upon yards of glistening black robes gleamed back at her- the outer cloaks of the Dreambringers. Reverently she ran her hands down the soft fabric. Oh, what she wouldn't give to wear these as well! To go on adventures, see all the wonderous places they had been... and to finally be a part of something. To be someone. To anyone really.
Anyone but a half crazed janitor with his wet mop. she snorted at herself. Of course she wasn't much better, always following behind her peers to clean up the pieces of dreams. She continued to stroke the silken cloaks when a thought suddenly occured to her, perhaps she should try it on? To see how well it fit her? For investigative purposes, mind you. If she were to wear the robes of one with a Purpose, for just a moment, she might then know what it felt like to have a Purpose. And if she knew how that felt, wouldn't it give her the insight she needed to find her own? She began to reach for the hanger. But if the elder found out...
Hey! Hey! Is anyone in here?!
A voice called out as the door banged open, and without wasting another thought, she quickly tore down the nearest cloak and hid under it. Oh no, stupid move Shattered! She admonished herself. Should have just Disappeared-
There you are! I thought I heard someone in here. She stood frozen in place as a green robed Vey grabbed her by the shoulder. Wait! Don't go! I have VUM!
Her mind began to whirl. VUM, he has VUM?! Isn't this the chance you have always waited for, to be just like the others, a chance to take care of VUM?!
Please listen, it really is VUM! There was no one else around, I have been running all over the Agency since I returned with it, you must help! If you don't do it, who will?! And he did sound frantic, she could imagine his face was stricken with frustration. Just do it, Shattered. Her mind continued to wheedle her. If you don't take care of it, then it will be all your fault if the VUM erupts into something worse, much worse. And just think of how incredibly pleased the elder will be, how a lowly Dreamsweeper as yourself managed to get the job done. You'll be promoted for sure! Everyone will love you.
Heart pounding wildly, she held out her hand to the man in front of her. Please, she said, let this Dreambringer take care of the Very Urgent Matter.
Chapter 3 of The Dreamweaver

Wrinkling her nose with disgust, she pushed the door open and walked up to the front desk and dropped the smelly meat on the counter.
*unfinished*

While Shattered is true Vey in the sense of showing very little emotion, it doesn't mean she is without any. Instead her true nature is repressed by clan customs and their general thoughtlessness to the world around them. She is naturally inquisitive, inwardly burning with the desire for knowledge and answers to all the workings of the Agency. She once made the mistake her first year, of asking a Dreamwatcher exactly what their occupational purpose was. He was highly affronted and admonished her for being so impertinent, then saw to it she was properly punished by writing one hundred million times over, "I must not ask questions." Since then she has learned to keep her wondering to herself.
She is also a bit envious of others, they seem so content and capable, after all, everyone except for herself has a Purpose. She often hides in the cloak room of the Dreambringers, and pretends that she too is one of them, loved and cherished by her people.
These are some notes I have collected on only a few of the many lands contained within the Agency, and other worlds connected to it. Please do remember that no fact written in these files are absolute, there is much concerning the Agency that we are still not aware of.
Hall Of Dreams: Place where all the dreams are stored in bottles. It's old, dark, and dusty, very much like an archive. There are one or two Dreamstockers watching over the millions of shelves and millions of Spinners at any given time.
The Dark Hollow: This is a truly wicked place, where the Frights live. Frights like Nightmares, Dreameaters, and the Hopelessly Despondant Baby Chickens (very dangerous creatures, they lure you in with their cuteness and then! You don't need to know after that). Let's just say it brings a whole new idea to mind of the words "chicken dinner".

Creation Chamber: Where dreams are made. This is the job of Dreamakers, who after studying for one thousand years to obtain their robes, are now very, very, very old. So old in fact they cannot leave the chamber at all, and just sit on their chairs, collecting dust and cobwebs. Needless to say, the quality of dreams they produce isn't very good.
The Beyond: This is the outer world, the land outside the Agency where Vey go to deliver dreams to normal folks like you and I. Or once again, who's to say we really are outside of this Agency? It might just be that we've never found our exitry door.
The Portal Of Which You May Enter But May Not Return By:* Entry into the Beyond, every Dreambringer must pass through it to deliver the bottled dreams. *see also The Portal Of Which You May Not Enter But May Return By
The Portal Of Which You May Not Enter But May Return By: Strangely enough, it appears to be the same portal. I do believe the name just depends on whether one is coming or going...
Oddly Murky Forests: Most peculiar indeed, the Oddly Murky Forests surround Vey Grove and extend until goodness only knows where. It should be a brightly lit and cheerful place, but somehow they are dank and slightly eerie. One can never be too sure what is following you from behind. The Vey prefer to stay out of it.
Glowing Rift: A crevice in the ground, where all Spinners spring forth and then drift to their appointed stations. Perhaps they have a Naming like the Vey? Regardless, this is a very special place, and no one is able to enter it unless the Spinners are willing. Even if you know exactly where it is, if the Spinners don't want you there, you could wander in circles for months and never reach your destination.
The Dumps: Where all junk, once it begins Rolling, will eventually end up. This is the refuse of almost the entire Vey world, a sea of garbage. Little creatures called Grummage live here, and believe that not only is the sky falling, but it is their sworn duty to hang it back up. Any visitors will see them running to and fro, hauling junk up hills and tying it to otherwise bare trees.
Hapihopihoperdom: Kingdom in which Shattered eventually finds herself, to deliver the bottled dream. Everyone here is very happy, almost obnoxiously so, but very much like the Vey, they will not do anything their leader hasn't told them to do. They take this duty a little bit further, and unless the king decrees something, they will not work, eat, sleep- they will just stand there and waste away... happily of course.
Chapter 7 of The Dreamweaver
Yvan suddenly stopped short and bent to catch his breath. I can't be going on like this much longer! Just how far exactly did that blasted bottle Roll?!
Shattered wiped the sweat out of her eyes and gazed into the distance forlornly. An endless sea of waving green grass stared back at her. Wait a moment. Was that a smudge of darker green in the distance? Could they have made it back to the woods? Her vision swam before her. Yvan, hang on a minute, let's go a little further. I think I see the Forests.
He straightened and snorted in annoyance. You best be right girlie, I don't much fancy walking about until I end up like this fella over here. He cocked his thumb to the side where a pile of bones were lying and looking a little too human like for Shattered's taste. A butterfly fluttered overhead, and drooped down to rest on the remains. How eerie, the contrast between life and death... Shattered shuddered and strode towards the darker green smear in the horizon.
She was right, they had finally returned to the Oddly Murky Forests.
Thank the Heavens! Yvan immediately sunk down into the moss under the nearest tree. I never thought I would be so glad to see this place again! He started about making himslef comfortable and was about to take a swig of his hip flask, when he was suddenly caught on a hook and lifted straight off the ground. Hey hey HEY! What the- ?!
Shattered gasped as he was pulled through the lower branches and disappeared into the tree. YVAN! Socks scrambled over the forest floor and leaped onto the back of her skirt, digging his claws in with fear.
And within moments, Shattered was hooked and lifted as well. Aiiieeee!! Put me down!! She thrashed wildly, whipping through the branches and was dropped on a nearby limb. Socks was frozen with fear.
Will you please stop all that shouting?! My nerves cannot handle such a racket! A large orange fish glared at her from the other side of the branch. His tail was long and flowing, and he wore black spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose. And in his fins he held a large fishing rod. Now then, I'm certain you good people would like to know why I have fished you up here today, it is after all, a Tuesday and everyone knows the fishing of people is generally not practiced on days of the week starting with T.
Yvan looked dumbfounded and held onto his precarious position on an adjacent branch.
Well, excepting months that end with Y, like Junerary and Decembay, but this is neither of those. The fish nodded self approvingly, then pushed his glasses further up his nose. I however, have a very important task before me, most important indeed. He reached into a pocket on his lower fin, and proudly displayed a radish. Behold! The ordinary radish, once used in weaponry, now used for the easing of the appetite! The wonderous wonder that has been entrusted to me alone, is to seek and to find and to search!! No matter how dire the consequences! ...how to eat this peculiar vegetable. And he said vegetable with an extra E added in, much like veggie-table. Now, I am so close to this answer, indeed I will soon be dining on such extravagant fare as the rest of you, however, I have run into a bit of a problem here. You see, in order to learn how to properly do something, one must always use Maths. They are most important. And the Maths used in this equation of trickery are at such an astounding level, I cannot begin to tell you. He cleared his throat and held the radish in front of Shattered's face. Are you prepared?
She nodded dumbly.
What is one plus one?
Oh, ho ho ho! Yvan chortled out loud. Why, that's fairly simple! One plus one equals two!
Tsk, tsk, tsk. The fish shook his head disapprovingly. Are you so certain of this?
Well, of course I am! You dimwitted fish head is what Yvan wanted to say next, but he wisely remained silent.
My dear man, then you have never truly contemplated the equation. The fish put the radish back in his pocket. One plus one cannot equal two, because what happens when you have one hole in the ground, and one pile of dirt, and you combine them, what are you left with in the end? Nothing! Not a single thing.
Oh, said Yvan, having never thought of this before. Then perhaps the answer is zero?
No, no, this is not it either. If you have one man, and one woman, and they decide to go out for dinner, you end up with spaghetti. The fish frowned. But how can one plus one equals spaghetti help me eat this radish?
Well, began Shattered, have you ever considered the possibility of rabbits?
The fish cocked his head sideways. Rabbits, you say?
Yes, rabbits. If you have one rabbit, plus another rabbit, then that equals-
AHA! Many rabbits!! the fish declared. But I am still puzzled.
So am I, Yvan frowned. Being a great thinker, he did not like his thoughts to out think him. I must sort this out.
I am sorry, Mr.Fish, but we need to get going. Shattered bowed her head towards the fish. You see, we lost a dream when it began Rolling, and are trying to catch up to it, and don't have the time to solve equations with you.
The fish leaned back and rubbed his chin. Ahhh, Rolling, and not simply rolling?
She inclined her head once more.
That's no trouble at all, you simply continue down the path, he indicated the forest floor from a gap in the branches, until you reach the Dumps, and you will find your dream there. That's where all things end up once they begin Rolling, unless of course you are my cousin, Aberforth. Once he accidently started Rolling, and instead of wasting the time of traveling all the way to the Dumps to collect him where he would stop Rolling, his parents placed him in a hamster wheel where he continues to Roll to this very day. It's quite tragic, really.
Oh dear, she murmered, I am so very sorry, but we must deliver this dream right away. You see, it is VUM.
Oh my goodness! Well don't let me hold you up!
Thank you, Mr.Fish. She looked towards Yvan who was rubbing his mustache and muttering to himself. Yvan?
Huh? Er, oh, yeah, well um... He seemed distracted. Why don't you go ahead, and I'll just catch up? I can always begin Rolling if I get too far behind. I would really like to solve this Maths problem before I continue. I cannot believe I have spent so much of my life so seriously deluded... To think that I declared one plus one was two?! He snorted and waved her on. You'll be fine, we're probably already half way there.
And that was how Shattered came to be wandering through the Oddly Murky Forests at night, with no one by her side save a very nervous Mistwalker called Socks.
This is an excerpt from Chapter 10 of The Dreamweaver.
There once a dog named Frog
who wibbled then wabbled and sog.
He had fights in his bed,
and the mites that were Ted
couldn't slow down their log.
There once was a sock named Shoe
who tumbled around like you.
So the sky fell down
and they all blew up,
......
The end!
Well, said Shattered carefully, it wouldn't do any good to hurt their feelings, It is quite a lovely song, the Grummage beamed proudly, but I am a little confused. How exactly does this explain why you are hanging the sky back up- please, she added thoughtfully.
The Grummage frowned. But it says right after the sock named Shoe, it explains this reason! a Grummage squeaked out from under the shoe on his head, And I know all about shoes!
No no, you're wrong! disagreed a larger fellow wearing a pot, The reasoning why is in the fact he fed his wife nothing but bacon and tea! The Grummage began to grumble with one another.
No, no, NO! You are both wrong! a flour sack covered Grummage spoke out, It is not the tea, or the socks, it is how he wibbled, then wabbled, AND sog!
Oh my, I think he is right! the Grummage began nodding to one another, He wibbled, then wabbled, AND sog! Makes perfect sense!
Shattered was completely bewildered. But what-
Oh fer goodness sakes, missy! Will you just let it alone and get me down from here?! Yvan shouted out.
Oh! Y-yes, of course, she said looking up and noticing that he was indeed, still tied to the upper branches.

I forgot to include the Doffelhanger in the Bestiary, so here it is.
They are moss spirits that live inside of trees, cannot speak,
and are only visible during the night.
Lighting Foot:
Yvan:
King Schnitzelfritz:
In order to make this application easier to read through, and due to the fact I simply did not have enough time in just two weeks to finish writing out all twelve chapters, I have included a story summary. How nifty.
While walking through the forests, they come across a canyon and a long legged yellow creature. Shattered is anxious to continue past the gap, but without a bridge, they are unable to cross. The creature tells them about his ______, and insists it exists when there is nothing there. So the creature asks Shattered, What is real? Is the air we breathe real? Is the wind real? Are love and sadness real? You cannot see those. So what is to say my _____ isn't real? Things are only as real as you believe them to be. He starts to convince her, and the _____ appears, along with the bridge across the canyon.
They continue through the woods, trek across a sun baked plain, and while resting for a bit, they are hooked off the ground and into a tree by the Fishing Fish. He is puzzled by a Maths problem, and is searching for someone to help him solve the equation. Yvan stays behind with the fish to continue working on Maths with him, and Shattered finds herself wandering through the dark woods at night with only Socks. Frightened, she begins running carelessly again, but is guided to the sacred Glowing Rift, birthplace of the Spinners. No Vey has ever been allowed here before, and they are gifted with their very own Spinner when he becomes attached to Sock's tail. Exhausted, they fall asleep under the branches of the great trees guarding the Rift.
When they wake, they are somehow outside the Rift and a large Tentipede is watching them sleep. He ends up giving them a ride so they can make it to the Dumps before Shattered starts to disappear any further, by now her tail has completely vanished. This is the place where everything that begins Rolling eventually ends up. After diving into one of the many tunnel entrances to the Dumps, the Tentipede becomes stuck and Shattered is forced to walk the rest of the way. He gives her a WHOOPee (Winds Have Other Orderly Purposes) to use once she finds the bottle, it will open a vortex to take her to the world her she must deliver dream in.
The Dumps are inhabited by tiny trollish beasts called Grummage, who believe all the junk falling into the Dumps is pieces of the sky falling down, and that it is their sworn duty to hang it back up. Here they find Yvan tied up in a tree. He began Rolling to catch up with them, and figuring he had fallen also, the Grummage were doing their best to keep this particularly noisy piece of the sky off the ground. Among the endless sea of garbage, they finally spot the bottled dream, and by now Shattered's legs are missing. They use the WHOOPee, and land in the middle of Hapihopihoperdom, a kingdom where they will not work, eat, or sleep unless the king makes a decree. And the king is unable to decree anything without having a dream, so they are slowly wasting away, but with the blinding smiles Hapihopihoperdomers are so famous for.
The king is delighted that they have finally arrived, but able to only sleep at night time, Shattered must wait to place the dream into his mind. She is extremely anxious by now, the third day is approaching and there is very little left of her to be seen. The next morning, the king makes the life saving decree in his land, the one that enables his people to go back to their normal schedules: from now on every one of them is to strap a large trout on top of their head. The land rejoices, and the king will not let Shattered go, insists she must attend a feast in her honor, but she is hysterical by now. If she doesn't get back to the Agency right then, she will cease to exist. The king continues to talk on, and with only the tips of her ears visible, he wraps an old dusty, moth-eaten cloak around her and tells her it is her reward for saving his kingdom. Shattered vanishes completely at this moment, and fearing she is forever lost, she wails in despair. Then suddenly, the old cloak starts to glow, and transforms into brilliant purple and teal robes trimmed in gold- the robes of a Dreamweaver. Yvan is also overcome at this moment, his true form is revealed as the spirit of her predecessor, the last Dreamweaver. He tells her she did well in passing her test, and he may now finally rest. Shattered is grief stricken at losing her dearest and only friend, but with her new powers, is able to return to the Agency immediately.
The Vey are astounded to see Shattered so transformed, and she is not only accepted, but loved by her people at last. They attempt to emulate her open robe style of dress, but unfortunately, whenever they made the robes, they forgot to include fastenings, and are unable to ever take them off. And such is the story of Shattered, ridiculed Dreamsweeper who learns her ability to think for herself and awakens into her true nature, Shattered Glass, forever exalted Dreamweaver.
Ooh, now here is the really fun stuff.=3 Short of world domination, there isn't much I'm not planning to do with Shattered. First of all, I am crazy about her designs, both quad and anthro. And her world adds the perfect setting for all my wildest whimsical artworks, with lots of twisting, spiraling perspective- haha, yes, I will be drawing her quite often. Which means Beauty Contest spam! At its finest. I will not rest until she has beautiful trophies decorating her lookup. And even then, I will not rest.
There is the Neotimes! Now certainly, I'm sure her original story is a little too fantastical to fit into the classic NT story format, however, nothing is stopping her from having new adventures with her Aisha friends. Or, perhaps I will limit her appearances to the comics section. Regardless of what I do, her world is just too fascinating to let die. I have plans for future Aishas being worked into the plot, but I can't give away any secrets. Suffice to say it involves a plushie called Nightmare, and a faerie who grants wishes literally, and lives inside a dragon.
Shattered's petpage will be this application, with all the app bits removed. I will complete her story and finish illustrating it as well. Her future pet lookup may be found here. I will be redoing her artwork once I receive my tablet, and will especially remake the header on her pet lookup; I don't like the brown around her.
And naturally, all this hard work means Shattered will most definitely reside on my main, buri_guri. But what better way to be closer to her precious self? I am currently working on a machine to port myself into the computer, but until then, this will have to do.

I already have her Petpet, Socks the Ukali aka Mistwalker, and his Spinner, known in the Neo world as an Aboogala. Yes, Socks was used for my first application, however, the only similarities this Socks and Xenue's Socks share is their name. And the name has nothing to do with my failed app, it's actually from my childhood. In middle school, my best friend had Socks the stuffed Dolphin and I had Underwear the stuffed Penguin. I might be one of those "special" individuals.xD

Backgrounds. Oh dear, I do wish I had NC purchasing powers in this household, my fiance would never stand for such a frivolous waste. Now I do have some very sweet friends, who sometimes gift me with NC items, and even let me choose something special when they get bonuses. It's quite possible the Lightmite NC Background may be in Shattered's future, and it's a perfect fit, it's as close to the Glowing Rift as possible, I swear those look like Spinners drifting by. Until someone randomly offers, I will most likely provide the sickeningly cliched Grey Day Background. There's not much else I think looks particularly well with her colour or personality.
Some other goodies I have saved up for her include the contents of my side account gallery, currently at 40 books and 10 Codestones. I like to bump up the stats of my special girls. *pokes Sjutin*
And my safety disclaimers: Shattered will never be my active, anything less than delighted, never in the battledome (status changing items, I've heard of them), or UFT. I have never traded a pet, and I do not plan on ever doing so. Edit: A few days ago, my friend Jenn let me trade her UC Ice Bruce, in exchange for any Aisha I wanted. Of course I accepted. But no worries, I will not be trading away my babies.

And of course we will go on picnics, have crumpets and tea,
and skip gaily while holding hands through the Very Dark Hollow.
Click and drag into the nav bar to view full size.

I have included the following to back up my claims to illustrate and BC Shattered.

Gifts for friends.

Tunivia and her ship, Mooky.
Rautea and Puff.
And then some high school era art may be found here. I do love to draw!xD
Aria is in the BC until the 9th.

Edit (Apr 9th): I am still hyperventilating, I only meant to win the gold in species, but instead I win BRONZE TROPHY OVERALL!!! So sorry for the caps, I worked so hard, I am so shocked!!! Aria has two trophies now!

This is my Aisha, Sjutin, and my first BC entry.^^

I failed epically... Oh well, always next time.^^
This is her Angelpuss, Plushums, and his Petpet Spotlight entry.

Angelpi are sweet,
Angelpi are kind.
But this little Angelpuss
is of a different mind.
I've just about had enough
of your silly game!
Sjutin glares at the others
for they are to blame.
Plushums growls low
and gathers his power
then blasts the children
in a whirlwind shower.
No sense in having his Aisha upset,
he smirks after they fled.
Sjutin looks confused,
Was it something I said?
Why did they leave so suddenly?
What's their cause of alarm?
It's just that they made me angry,
but I meant them no harm.
Poor Sjutin is oblivious
she doesn't understand
that whenever she gets angry
she might as well demand
for Plushums to strike
all who stand in her way.
Oh, Sjutin don't you remember,
what happened that day?
You didn't notice it then
when that Chia made you cry.
You later met a Lupe
with a steaming hot pie
Fresh from the oven!
he proudly declared,
then gobbled it up
as you stood there and stared.
And you thought it was funny,
but paid it no mind,
a scarf like the Chia's...
that Lupe had left behind.
And wait a second-
didn't you look into his window?
Was that Plushums in the kitchen
with a rolling pin and dough?
Nah, it couldn't be!
Don't be silly!
Plushums is just a bunch of fluff.
He couldn't have- no, not really...
And so it continues,
both day and night
when Sjutin gets angry
then Plushums will fight
off all her enemies
and folks that annoy.
Danger and chaos often follow
this seemingly harmless toy.
The soft yellow fibers,
oh how they disguise!
The tiny white wings,
it's nothing but lies!
He smiles innocently, he smiles sweetly,
don't be taken in!
He's squishy and adorable,
you cannot trust him!
Well, that's ridiculous,
a green Kougra laughs.
you're too old to play with dolls-
I only say this on your behalf!
he stutters and trembles
as the young Aisha glares.
Now listen here, I'm your teacher!
Don't go putting on airs!
Listen to what I tell you
and don't bring your playthings to school!
You know better than this,
you know it's against the rules!
She sulks and shoves her books aside
then grabs Plushums by the feet.
She grumbles and mumbles
then swings out of her seat.
You'll get yours.
They always do.
I dunno why
but it will come true.
And with that she flounces
and stomps out of the room,
not knowing her behaviour
has just sealed his doom-
her teacher that is.
And the little plushie grins
a smile so wicked,
oh where shall he begin?
Later when they searched
the town from top to bottom
for the disappeared teacher, all they found
was some pins, needles, old balls of cotton
and a green Kougra plushie
hidden under the desk
its eyes seemed almost warm,
its face seemed distressed.
It looked as though it could speak,
but no, it's just a toy.
And no one noticed
the Angelpuss' smile of joy.
So I'm writing this to you,
it's just a friendly warning.
You must take heed and stay away
or you will soon be mourning.
Angelpi are sweet,
Angelpi are kind.
But Sjutin's Angelpuss, Plushums,
is of a different mind.
Why Shattered indeed. To tell you the truth, I originally didn't plan on applying for her. She's most definitely a gorgeous Aisha, but I chose to spend my time instead on my application for Xenue. And being my first petpage app, I do believe I not only failed, but failed horribly. I put so much time and effort into the page, I spent two weeks on it- just like this one. I was initially devastated, but have gained two major things from the experience: knowledge on proper pet applications and custom characters, and a terrific friend, Chelsea, Xenue's new owner.
During this time I knew about Shattered being UFA, and it's not that I didn't want to apply, I just didn't think there would be enough time. I was talking with my friend, Perdita one evening, and she mentioned she was applying for Shattered Glass, and lo and behold- her deadline had been extended. I literally freaked out, and set off right away to get to work on this long winded mess. I had some ideas I had been writing down in hopes for the next Aisha application, plot bunnies about the mysterious Vey and Dreamsweepers, but something wasn't right. So by this time I had been sitting on these ideas for a few weeks, and when I looked at Shattered the second time, bam! It hit me- she is perfect for my story! Or perhaps the story is perfect for her.
Regardless, her name spun a whole new tale of being an outcast from the clan; I had originally planned a normal Aisha that worked up through the ranks. Just that little bit alone spurred so much creativity, my silly little plot bunny grew into a massive Aisha eating jackalope that I must feed or be eaten!
So yes, I am quite passionate about your Shattered Glass, and nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be her new mother, if I am so lucky to be chosen.(:

Hello there, I am Sarilain, incurable Aisha-addict and well-known chat dork (I post more messages on just one account than anyone else in the guild.xD). I will be 23 in April, and I am on Neopets almost all day long- working from home is the best! Aren't you jealous? *heh heh* On Neo I have so many interests, but my main passions are my Aishas, my guild, AspiringBLUE, coding pages, and of course my steadily growing mall store. Wearables and Paint Brushes will make you a fortune...
I have included as much artwork as possible to show my dedication to my Aisha family. I spent so much time starting my guild in the beginning, there just hasn't been much opportunity to otherwise characterize my poor fuzzies. Now that AspiringBLUE pretty much takes care of its self, I am devoting myself full time to rectifying this problem. I realize that there are other applicants who undoubtedly have a whole shelf of shiny trophies... Which I hope will not be counted against me.xD
My Accounts: Main Account - Guild Account - Packrat Account - Graphics Site - Unused Account
You mentioned several times you would be judging not only by applications, but by accounts and how well we take care of our pets- like a good owner should. However, please don't trouble yourself looking for custom lookups, or goodness forbid, custom petpages, because they aren't there. Yet. Of course this means very little to you no matter how I swear up and down they will have them, because I do not have any proof. I do hope the handful of custom artwork, character designs, and story plots I have already will add some validity to my words. Hopefully I will be able to edit this application before your final decision is made, and show you a really cool lookup or two!
I suppose this really ought to be a why not me section, but I should also make you aware of my account history. Long story short: I piddled around on Neo since 2002, even kept an eight year account (that I unwittingly self-froze later), but never really understood what it meant to "play" the game until last spring. So I have been an active participant here for one year now. My claim to shame is that before I knew any better, I lost my self-named account Sarilain because I had seen others offering a free Key Quest win and thought that it would be ok to do so. I was devasted, I had lost my yuba_huba, and huba_yuba of eight years.
I really did not want to include this in my application for Shattered, but I know that it isn't going to go away by ignoring it. I hope this fact will not alarm you, I choose to look at it not as I'm a danger to any pet, but that I have spent so many hours pouring over the Neotimes Editorial that the TOS are permanently ingrained in my Aisha stricken head. Now wouldn't that make me a safer choice?xD
I have a number of petpages, and some others that are in the works:
AspiringBLUE Webbie: Self explanatory...
AB Teams Page: I keep track of the guild gems
The Page of Sarilain: All about yours truly
Whimsical Fate: My graphics site (Where are the graphics? Being recoded.:P)
My Art Page: under construction
Wearable Directory- CPN: Closet Of The Persnickety Neopian: layout finished, coding under construction
The Fabled Aisha: Future archive of stories and somewhere to display Aishas unable to host their own petpages

These are my permanent pets, the Aishas with stories. I actually only have one Aisha that I have no plans to keep, Asphodes. I thought her name was pretty cool when I created her, but that's about it. She hasn't been given to a lab happy friend yet only because I need her petpage for my graphics site.
Sjutin: Baby Aisha
Age: 6 years
Original Story: Sweet and joyful, this little Aisha loves to play with her friends! When she is getting her way. If she doesn't... Well, you see, there is something wrong with her Angelpuss, Plushums. He enjoys seeing others suffer. Like being baked into a pie and eaten by a clueless Lupe kind of suffering. And he feeds off of Sjutin's emotions. So whenever she gets angry, he gets more powerful, more determined, and just plain evil. Sjutin doesn't have a clue though, she completely misses everything he does, she actually doesn't know he's alive at all. She thinks he's a an Angelpuss plushie, not a Plushie Angelpuss. Poor deceived child, you're quite the terror.
Character Design: With a big smile, and a cute little bubble head, Sjutin and her curly ponytails can be seen bouncing around all day long. Every time is play time! If she could just learn to share...
Dragonair_Princess: Faerie Aisha
Age: 3016 years
Original Story: I just adopted Aria today! (March 31st)
Granting wishes literally, if someone asks her for a fish, Aria is liable to drop an entire whale on their head. She doesn't realize that their overwhelming joy is actually screams of terror... Her name is often used by parents when getting their children to behave, it's commonly said: You better go to sleep tonight, or Ari the Feary is gonna get you. She lives in her dragon, Fafnir, there's actually an entire world inside of him, it is where she was born. He guards her jealously, she is his treasure and no one better mess with her. So they travel the world, Aria believing she is doing good but leaving mass chaos in her wake.
Character Design: Long flowing hair, strings of gems stranded through out, she wears it down with just the middle of her bangs clipped back. She has horns and a tufted tail, actually looks more like a dragon than she does any Aisha. Aria does not have wings, and naturally, cannot fly. What a silly thing to ask about anyway, flying faeries, psshhh!xD
tommy_heavenly_: Zombie Aisha
Age: 19 years (when she turned Zombie)
Original Story: Once Tomoko-hime, beloved princess of her people, now Tommy the Zombie, with no memory of her past. How did she get this way? What happened to her? No one but Tunivia knows. Tommy once had the uncontrollable power to destroy, a power that annihilated her village, and would have destroyed the entire planet- had not Tunivia stepped in. Tunivia had orders to assassinate the princess in order to bring an end to the bloody chaos before it enveloped everything her people knew; but she couldn't bring herself to do so. Instead she unintentionally condemned Tommy to an eternity trapped in the land of the undead, however, with the loss of her memories, Tommy's destructive powers are also gone. Now they are both exiled on a distant planet, and Tunivia is secretly watching Tommy to make certain she never remembers her other life, or she will have to be terminated for good.
Character Design: Silent with an air of tragedy about her, Tommy hides behind her long black hair and many tomes. She is very sweet natured though, and keeps a close eye on Sjutin and Ichigo lest they fall into harm's way.
ichigo_inori_4_lisa: Strawberry Aisha
Age: 16 years
Original Story: While Ichigo may be physically present, her mind seems to be lost in another realm. She tends to her berry patch, and spends most her time outdoors talking to inanimate objects.
Character Design: Dreamy eyes, and long flowing curls, this little Aisha is the epitome of everything Loli. She leaves her hair down and ties ribbons in it, wears complicated dresses with more ruffles and fluff than one could ever imagine. And she is always sitting so elegantly, from afar she looks just like a doll. o_O
Kiakuru: Mutant Aisha
Age: 15 years
Original Story: She's loud, self centered, and eats Petpets. Slorgs are her favourite, and as much as she tries to mother them, they always end up in her belly somehow.
Character Design: The bane of Tommy's existence, Kiakuru wears obnoxious flashy colours, and has her own wild style of punk clothing. Her hair is often dyed bright blue and purple, she is liable to wear it in any combination of ponytails, spikes, dreadlocks, or goodness forbid, even shave half of it off. It's a good thing it tends to grow back so quickly...
InspiringBLUE: Starry Aisha
Age: 23 years
Original Story: Inspiring is the keeper of the AspiringBLUE Donation Store, and is a bit of a workaholic, never satisfied unless every task is completed. She has been known to lock other Aishas in the store with her over night, so most folks try to steer clear of her.
Character Design: Her harsh demeanor frightens a lot of folks off, and she has no use for anyone who doesn't put in a full day's worth of work. ~Her design is somewhat lacking, I can't picture the store mascot as anything other than a regular Starry Aisha... I am working on it. -_-;
Khnim: Chocolate Aisha
Age: 17 years
Original Story: Sassy with a flair for fashion, this chocolate coated Aisha is all about show. She is working to own her very own designer clothing chain.
Character Design: Combining tomboy with a twist of irresistible feminism, Khnim keeps the eyeliner thick and her short hair styled to the side, covering half of her face. Her air is contemporary and very modern, she is always at the top of her game, and her smirking face portrays this all too well. As a mater of fact, she might be a little too confident. She doesn't spend much time with the other Aishas, she is always hard at work designing new clothes for the runway.
Roazi: Sponge Aisha
Age: 18 years
Original Story: The Cyberspace Grim Reaper, neither good nor evil, Roazi collects souls and turns them into ice cream. It's said that those with black hearts, have souls so wicked they turn into sherbet instead... But Roazi never says anything, he just drifts around, taking spirits at random, or is he driven by a greater might?
Character Design: Thin willowy blond with a talent for the violin, Roazi is also mute- this is what prevents him from talking about his past.
Rautea: Faerie Aisha
Age: 12 years
Original Story: Young and bossy, Rautea is the guardian of the AspiringBLUE Treasure Trove (aka guild gallery). She enjoys ordering Puff, her Faellie, around, making him deliver most of the gifts. Puff of course, adores her, and he sees nothing wrong with her attitude. Perhaps this behaviour results from being abandoned as a child, or the fact she always had to fight for attention among her twelve brothers and sisters.
Character Design: Curly orange hair kept in a ponytail and freckles across her nose, she has a cute and earthy look about her. She adorns herself in finery and bangles, after all, Rautea does consider herself royalty.
Tunivia: Alien Aisha
Age: 28 years
Original Story: Seasoned bounty hunter, she is currently on a mission to watch Tommy, lest she regain her memory and powers. In the likely hood of this event, Tunivia will have to destroy her once and for all. The question is, can she? Twenty years ago, the once Princess Tomoko was like an older sister to the wayward Alien Aisha, always getting into mischief with no real purpose in life. Tomoko turned Tunivia's life around, convinced her to strive for a purpose, one that eventually reduced Tommy to the state she is in today.
Character Design: Deceivingly unaware and bubbly natured, this Aisha is actually cold, calculating, and responsible for the demise of many criminals and dangerous beings. She has scars extending across her face from past battles, and wears her light brown hair tied back in a ponytail, but leaves long bangs hanging down to hide her disfigurement. She has a ship, named Mooky, and he follows her around on her missions.
Vocna: Robot Aisha
Age: 14 years
Original Story: Cyberworld treasure hunter, Vocna spends most of her time with her treasure chest, the Cofferling who eats her possessions all up and stores them in his tummy.
Character Design: Short, light brown hair that sticks out uncontrollably, she wears a poofy mushroom shaped hat to keep these locks in check. She's bright and happy, but never has much on her mind other than seeking new treasures. She tries to make friends, but unfortunately, after she attempted to sell Sjutin off to some greedy Pteris for five golden nerkmids, the other Aishas don't trust her very much.
Whimzsi: (future) Plushie Aisha
Age: 20 years
Original Story: Whimzsi and Rixias do not have any character designs or stories yet, they are boring Aishas with pretty names only. Poor little fuzzies. I'm sure I'll feel more inspired once I finish with my other girls or paint these two.
Rixias: (future) Island Aisha
Age: 18 years
Original Story: *see above*
My fuzzies also enjoy their very own Aisha gallery,
which had to stop growing in order to feed our mall store. *sniff*

*We assume no responsibility if your chicken eats you, your Neopets, your friends, your family, and your entire neighborhood.
(For some reason Gimp isn't letting me animate this with a transparent background. After the first play through, the big chicken is behind the baby all the time. Hence the ugly white box.)

Aw, so cute.:P

Thank you for reading the story of Shattered Glass, The Dreamweaver. I would especially like to thank Moon, for giving me a chance to create a character for such a wonderful Aisha. Best of luck in deciding her new home!^^
