Argument!

Okay. I agree to some extent with your views. People don't work for their pets. Sad but true. People don't. I'm part of that crowd. Not one of pets has been hand-painted and yet...I work for them. I actually do work for them.

I spend hours of my time looking for any role play pets. Relinquishment was found during these hours. Ainadi. Khorisa. Kiyalaa. Carineli. I love these pets and not one is painted. But also, I have Starreee_Paradise, a starry xweetok, I found her and now role play her as Ree-Nee. Or Skatadog, the pet this page is actually on!

As for the rest of my pets. Either created or applied for.

But let's face it. Not everyone can earn money. I spend my time drawing and role playing. I could, but I really hate earning. I despise it. I hate money and what it stands for; selfish greed. I don't want to own money. I hate money! Root of evil and all that. But that's another argument.

The point is. I can either draw, role play and write about my pets and make them a petpage. Or paint them a shiny colour. But no one seems to look at my pages because they, gasp, aren't painted pets. Which I really hate! I learnt about applications and here I am, with quite a few painted pets to my name. And y'know what? I've seen the pets you've unified. Some of them, I would have wanted. The well-named ones. I would have wanted to own and role play.

But I can't adopt unpainted pets unless they are amazingly named now. Why? Because people are prejudiced and won't even look at their pages. In a BC contest they have to be colour-modeled and it makes me want to scream. I can't even draw green unis!

So, a pet I might have loved and role played and worked for my making a page, loses it's chance. I don't want a pet I can't draw, or make famous through a page. I can't even design for green unis. So these pets are left, unwanted in a pound, or adopted because they're associated with you. What sort of life is that?!

So in short, you're making artists, role players, and writers abandon reasonably-named pets that deserve a chance, which you are denying, and why?

For fame. To spite n00bs. Well we aren't all n00bs!

I know what this will look like on my reputation as a user and role player, but someone has to take a stand. Surely not all role players hand-paint their pets? Well I don't! Scour help boards, the pound and neopound for pets! I'm coming clean! Not everyone that surfs is a n00b! Take the bad with the good!

And what about the general population? The non-roleplayers? Well they deserve well-named painted pets too! Not everyone can save! What if they have RL commitments? What is they're computer doesn't support flash? What if they haven't the money to go on the Internet to earn a lot of money? What if they just want a pet that people will call pretty? What if?

And what about those pets you unify? I'm sure people out there do want some of them..I suppose.

But in the end...I don't want a Uni, I don't even like Unis. But I do want Serenadings! I really do want Serenadings! As soon as I saw him on the page, I thought 'No! Not a Xwee! I love Xweetoks! I can draw them! What a name!' You've just ruined a perfectly good roleplay pet for me. The entire TXF (Xweetok Forest) is going to be biting your ankles for spoiling a good xweetok.

So please think about what I've said. I've said it with sincerity. With all my heart! I really hope you listen to what I'm saying!

Argument Part Two!

I agree people have to work for their pets.
I agree trophy pets are evil.
So let me ask you a question, how does turning every pet in neopia into a green uni actually help?

Think about it. Honestly does it help? No. All of a sudden some pets are unwanted and unloved and forgotten. Worse than a trophy pet, a nobody pet.
So what's the point of every pet being a green uni, eh? It doesn't stop trophying, and it makes life well boring there is a reason why there is over twenty species and colours to choose from, isn't there?
Not everyone can afford that much internet, how are they going to work for those pets. How does turning pets into green unis make them work for pets.
G.U.P seems pretty futile to me actually.
It does nothing constructive and is even negative in effects. It's like fandom gone wrong! It's pretty insane in my opinion actually....
Okay some things make sense, your logic is quite good actually, but let's face it, how does the argument of making people work for paintbrushes become UNI UNI UNI-SPAZZ!. How'd ya think of that one then? It's really..well...illogical and I've spent days trying to understand what you guys are thinking, but no, it's still as stupid as ever.
I have no problem with you offering to G.U.P people's pets, or putting them up. What I do have a problem with is, is the fact you go looking for pets to transform. Green unis aren't ugly or anything. Just a bit plain. Especially if every single pet is a green uni!
If people want to G.U.P their pets, well, then it's their choice afterall. However, taking pets out of the general population, pets which may have just been involved in a transfer or anything, that my friends, is just wrong.
