Achieving Your NP Goal!

We could all do with some extra NP, right? Add another room to your Neohome, paint your pet, earning collateral for that avatar... whatever you are saving for. Earning NP shouldn't be a hassle. It should be fun and rewarding but if you feel like you are getting nowhere with your goal then I'm going to let you in on some advice.

  1. Keep in mind that most goals don't need a deadline. There is no point in getting upset when that Baby Paint Brush took you 2 months to earn instead of one. Focus on the goal, not about the time it takes you getting there. Setting yourself a deadline can either motivate you or it can be rather depressing if you don't meet that deadline.

  2. A quota is a little goal that you set yourself each day. I suggest that you set one for yourself (if you haven't already). Make sure that it is achievable on a daily basis and doesn't solely revolve around luck. I find that 30k a day through restocking is right for me. If I earn 32k one day then I'll bank it but I know that the 2k is excess. If I feel the need to spend some NP, I know that I can't spend more than 2k because then that would bring me under my quota for that particular day. That isn't to say that you should go on a shopping spree every day if you get over your quota though! If you find that you are constantly going over that quota, you may need to up your quota by a little.

  3. Learn some of the different ways to earn NP and try them all. Some of these are: restocking from main shops, playing games, investing in the Stock Market and Shop Wiz sniping. Restocking from main shops and Shop Wiz sniping is very similar. The bottom line is to buy items that are under priced and then resell them for a profit. Restocking is commonly referred to as RSing. The Stock Market is where you buy a portion of a company. When that company makes a profit, so do the shares that you bought. Stocks are an investment though and take time to earn a decent profit from. The best method is to buy 1000 shares a day of anything at 15np and then wait for it to rise. There is no way to make your company do well. It truly is a game of patience but can be ideal for those who don't have the time to play games or RS.

  4. This may sound rather obscure but look for games on your high score list where you have scored poorly and then aim to beat it by a little every day. You may even earn yourself a trophy, avatar or a "Grand Master" ranking and be honest; who doesn't want to be a Grand Master at something! Higher scores equal more NP so try it out.

  5. Yes, I know that the item is cute but if you bought it, would you use it or would it rot in your SDB? Is it practical? If not, keep your NP in your pocket. Food isn't as essential as it seems because you can house your pets at the Neolodge for 28 days and it will only cost you 140np per month per pet. They are fed and kept happy in the lodge too. 10 toys aren't essential either when all of your pets will play with the same toy quite happily. That spiffy new avatar item can wait until you've saved up the amount you need. If you keep delaying your goals by buying other items, you'll never get there (or at least not before next Christmas). Keep your focus on your goal and throw every single Neopoint that you have behind it!

  6. Remember to do your dailies. They may not give you anything special one day but the next day they might give you codestones, faeries and even a paintbrush! You can win codestones and faeries from Tombola or from Geraptiku Tomb and you may be lucky enough to spin up a paintbrush in the Lost Desert or even Tyrannia!

If I explained all of these methods in full detail, this guide would be longer than it truly needs to be and would only repeat the information given on other guides. Because of that, here are some guides that can help you with a certain area of earning NP.

I hope that I've been able to help you in some way. If there are any tips which have helped you and they aren't here, please let me know and I'll give you full credit for them. Good luck with your goal!!

If you would like a 15 day trial to Premium Neopets or you would just like to find out more about it, drop me a mail and let me know. I'd be happy to fill you in on the details but remember that it does cost real money albeit not much. US$7.99 to be exact. Converted into my currency, that's about the cost of two glossy magazines or a decent pizza! The SSW has helped me snipe many items, I do love my weekly Space Faerie scratchcard and the SHH events through my portal are all good reasons why I'd suggest Premium to another user.

I'd like to thank piranjade for her help with a coding issue. Thankyou so much!
