Hello and welcome to Singing In The Rain Reviews. We are a new review site brought to you by Brayden, Olivia, and Spade. We were officially created on the 234th of August, 2009 and ready to review anything you throw at us. The idea for this review site was brought up weeks prior to our opening. However, there was the time consuming process of formulating ideas, organising who was to do what, and of course, creating the page. Olivia was the one to come up with the idea, the thinker of the name and finder of the banner and the creator of the page was to be Brayden. Now we have been created, we hope to provide for you accurate and thorough reviews with constructive critisisms so you can work towards improving your page/guild.Singing In The Rain Reviews also allows the chance for a follow up review to see if you have taken on board what we have said and improved your page/guild.
Please note that if you sign up for a review, you will be given an honest and open review. If you are likely to get offended from our review, please do not apply for one. We promise we won't be mean or anything, but some people take offense if they get a review they don't like. You may not agree with what we say, but everyone has their own opinion and our tastes can vary from yours. Thank you.
We review guilds as well as petpages, and we have different criteria that we score you for. So we have made a little scoring system for you,which can be seen below. If you don't see your theme of guild, or type of petpage on the navigation, don't worry, we haven't listed down all of the types there. Feel free to apply still.

Standard qualifications should be met before you apply:
» Literacy: Singing In The Rain is a site that is literate to be clear and understandable. When we receive your review, we expect correct punctuation and capitalisation. Spelling errors are okay, but we do not want to spend forever editing your review.
» In-depth Reviews: We want to be a site that is known for their decent, accurate reviews, so you must be able to thoroughly examine the guild and give good explanations and criticisms.
» Open Account: What we mean by open account is an account that is not committed to any guilds. If you are to review guilds, we would like it so you can join the guild to get more detailed with your review. If you are in a guild on your main account, we do not want to take away your pleasure in that guild. Therefore, side accounts to join the guild you are to review are needed. However, if you aren't in a guild on your main, that's okay. Note: Some exceptions may be made if you are chosen specifically review only petpages and not guilds.
» Promptness: We like to be prompt and create fantastic reviews, however not taking too long. We can understand that not everyone can get on every day, and we have no problem with that, (as we can hire more staff to get through more reviews), but we would like for you to make an effort with your reviews to be quick (but not too quick).

Note: I haven't had any experience with roleplay guilds before, so I hope my comments are all okay. I'm going to rate harshly, but fairly.

First Impression: I click the homepage link and become entranced in the layout. A dragon appears, in a great contrast of colours. The colour scheme was black and red, which works really well with each other. The title is positioned nicely, and is readable. However there is a lot of other text on the page, which is fine, but some of it is hard to read. For example, I can see that the top links say 'Enter' and 'Talk', but the other word I cannot decipher. Also, it looks like the big load of text to the right of the blog (presumably a song) looks like it was just pasted on the top and I don't think it blends well. The blog however looks really good, and it's cool that you hover over it to make it brighter. I look at the introduction, it leaves you asking questions. It also gives off the theme of the guild, but doesn't explain at all about the guild itself, (what it does, offers, etc.)

Activeness: In comparison to the number of people in the guild, it is fairly active, a few pages made a day. The member count does surprise me a little bit, being such an old guild, I was expecting a few more members. But at least the majority of the members are active, so that's a plus! However, I would've enjoyed myself a lot better if there was some more conversation, because at times when I was on, I didn't have anyone to chat to, which was a bit annoying. I understand that it could've been by chance, or something like that, but I think if you advertise more, and get some more members, there would be more chance that this problem won't happen.

Graphics: The whole guild had good graphics throughout. They had an off-site webbie, and no other pages other than the homepage. There are a number of guild graphics made by the members, which is good. However, the only full layout there is is on the homepage, so most of the marks for this will be based on the homepage. I have explained some of the problems with the homepage in my first impression.

Content: There is a lot of content on the homepage as well as the webbie. It seems to show what's needed. But, I, not being a role-player, was hoping to see a section on how to roleplay. It may be just me, but I think that is necessary. If there is a section on that, maybe try and make it more noticable, and perhaps a section in the navigation. Also, are there any other things you do other than chat/roleplay? I was hoping to see a fantastic plot, but perhaps role-play guilds don't do that? I thought they did... So, perhaps a bit more organisation with your content in both the webbie and homepage. Lots of content, but they are in large blocks, which can be intimidating for people to read all the way through.

Originality: Well, for starters, a unique name in my books. The dragon role-play theme is common (I think, but not as common are werewolf). Yet I find most things around the guild pretty unique.

Extra Pages: As mentioned before, there is only the webbie, with all the pages on the site. Each section in the webbie is really large, and I would have appreciated it if it was broken down more for better navigation. The webbie, as mentioned on the front of it, is not finished, which disappointed me, because I was hoping to read some of the sections that turned out not to be completed.

Overall: Reviewing BTACD was certainly an adventure. It was all a bit overwhelming, and I think it would be a great guild for experienced role-players, rather than people who are just getting into it. I was kindly welcomed when other people came on and saw my greeting, so I felt more at home. I was also nicely neomailed a greeting and was given lots of help for getting 'into' the guild. So therefore, I'd like to give an extra 5 points for that.
