<a name="cmeetings"></a><h1>Council Meetings</h1>
<b>Next Meeting!</b> - Not announced yet!

<p>Council Meetings will take place just about every month. If not then at least every two months. These meetings are needed to help keep the guild organized and running smoothly. However there is a draw back to having our little meetings. We cannot use anything offsite, and there isn't a feature on neopets for a private board chat. Therefore we have one solution which is the following:

<p><b>Hold them on the Guild Board!</b> However, to do this we need to suspend all members for the length of the meeting, and our procedure we'll be following is the following:

<ol>
<li>Give notice of upcoming meeting! - post on board, put in title, on calendar, and post on homepage and webbie.</li>
<li>On day of meeting 5 minutes before we're suppose to start, we'll begin the suspending process.</li>
<li>We'll have our meeting - hopefully no longer than an hour</li>
<li>Just before reinstating members, we'll delete our messages.</li>
<li>We'll reinstate members again - this cues the end of the council meeting!</li>
</ol>
<div id="update">If you are not reinstated after 5 minutes of the council meeting end just neomail a council member. It  could be for 1 of 2 reasons: a we missed your name, which happens easily, or b, we have ended up needing a few more minutes for our meeting. We apologize in advance!</div>

<p>Instead of all decisions being made by council, we thought having occasional guild meetings were a great idea. Originally it was planned to have them monthly, however, now it might be best to just have them when the need arises. Topics for the meetings can be found about 15 minutes before a meeting. Also if you cannot make a meeting we take opinions from everyone still that day even after the meeting, or ask for the topics in advance to mail responses to Suz.

<b>Issue 1:</b><i> Inactivity within the guild!</i>
<br>This issue is referring to the fact we have about 36 memebers but only about 9 who ever posts. We discussed Member Sweeps, possibility of setting a rule about posts, and Activities for the guild board. 
<br><b> Resolutions:</b><br>
Based on the majority of votes the results regarding the guild's inactivity problem is as followed:<br><ol>
<li>
<b>Member Sweeps are a go!</b> Well only for the members who been in a guild for a while and have basically no posts. We will give a 3 day window for the current members to be removed. (In this case those with less than 10 posts)</li>
<li>
<b>Post Rule is a no-no!</b> It might not be a rule, but it seem most of us believe there could be a guideline, and at the end of a month, say, look at the members who haven't posted even once to ask why. If no response from them after, say, a week, then we should remove them.</li>
<li>
<b>Guild Activities are a Must!!!</b> Everyone wants to see some type of guild activity, whether be a weekly event or something each day. Therefore this is something we need to add and soon. Ideas are welcomed some already given are:

<li>Key Quest Tournaments</li>
<li>Weekly Game challenges</li>
<li>Morning/Evening Coffee
</li>
<li>Puzzles
</li>
<li>Joke day/Night
</li>
<li>Trivia/Quiz day/night
</li>
<li>Poetry Hour
</li>
</ul>
Something themed more for us basically, and possible hosted not just by council but other members as well. (If anyone wishes to host an activity just let one of us know what you want to host and when.)

<p><b>Issue 2:</b> <i>All about Recruitment!</i><br>
As the issue says it is all about recruiting, but also how to recruit the right type of members. Here we discussed: applications, other ideas to add to the about us page, Advertising board opener (statement to make it uniformed with multiple host), and also about allowing side accounts in.

<br><b>Resolutions:</b><br></p>
<ol>

<b>Applications shall be processed!</b> These are to  help us filter out the people not really interested in our guild. However, almost everyone agreed it needs to be something short and simple. Nothing tedious, in other words.  We'll figure out what is should contain soon.</li>

<li>
<b>Advertising Board needs hosts!</b> We decided on not having a uniform message opener for the board. However, it as agreed that there is a need for help with keeping it up. So keep an eye out for our advertising board and just pop in and say hello. This will keep our board up and help make it less boring for the host whose bumping the board. (Usually Laura.)</li>

<li>
<b>No Sides Allowed!</b> That's right we're looking at only accepting main accounts from now on. Just because sides are not usually keep active, and as busy adults, when do we really ever get to use our sides to chat in a guild?

<li> <b>No other Changes!</b> Besides that it seems like no other changes to the way we advertise seem to be made.</li>
</ol>
<p><b>Issue 3:</b> <i>Guild Content</i><br>
This time is all has to do with the webbie, and the changes to the content we should do. This were are main topics looked at: Removals, Adoption Agencies, Jobs(maybe under different name), Cookbook, and Graphics Page.

<br><b>Resolutions:</b>

<b>Removals to be made!</b> We will be removing the following items: Guild Mall, Wishlists, and possibly a few others. Basically anything without information.</li>

<b>Cookbook is boiling to the surface!</b> The cookbook still has much interest so remind me to get that baby up this weekend. (If you have to threaten me please do... I have a bad memory for work needing to be done.)</li>

<li>
<b>Adoption Agency might need a host!</b> There were many mixed review here. Many like the idea of some type of dreamie pet page. For the adoption agency alone though it seems like we need more people still in the guild to really get it up and running better. However not many comments on whether to keep it guild exclusive or not. </li>

<li>
<b>A couple new guides on the way!</b> There was mention that links to on neo guides for dailies would be great. I also announce a guide I am looking at making but wouldn't mind testers. Its a neopoints making guide!</li>

<li>
<b>Now hiring Assistants!</b> Looking for a way to help the guild, well there were few people saying no to this, however we will allow lists of volunteers that want to help the guild in various ways. Such as Graphic makers, Recruiters, hosts, etc. We'll get these down pat at some point soon.</li>

<li>
<b>Graphics Page to be designed</b> We had a graphics page but it was one that Erin made and all Erin's content, therefore we needed to find out whether we should still make a new or not. However it looks like we should, and we have at least 2 people willing to help with it. (One might not be able to help often though... points to myself.)</li>

<li>
<b>Member of the Month possibility?</b> This wasn't really discussed but a mention of the possibility that the fifth council position could be reserved for MoTM in the guild. Maybe this could be looked at farther.

<h2> 21st October</h2>
Many things have happened in the last couple days. We have held a guild meeting and covered many topics, which there is now a link to review what happened! Also as a result of the meeting there are many changes occuring. One being removal of some links, and also some guild members! However, we have now got a new council member! Welcome Amanda to council!<br>
You'll now see a new activity now called Board activities. There are small activities we can host on the board, and as long as they are TNT approval-able then it can be hosted. However, it would be better if other members not just council members host this events. We have one event put up now!
<br>Well look around and check out some of the changes. Hopefully it'll all be fixed up soon!

<a name="history"></a><h1>History</h1>

CC is all about relaxing and just enjoying Neopets as a little vacation from reality. All of our members are adults and all have busy lives, like you, so we do not set a certain amount of posts required to stay in the guild.

Chatters Corner started out with three members (Crystal, Laura, and Suz) chatting on one of their 'seeking adult guild' boards. After talking and making note of how many more were just looking for a relaxing stress-free guild, the decision was made to make one. Suz being the one willing to make, opened up the guild with just the idea, and started work on it with the other two plus those who joined shortly after, to come up with a name, and what else should be added.

We wanted a name to represent who we are and why we come on Neopets to play. After many polls and discussions, Chatters Corner was born! An adult guild, not set on ranks or post counts, just a place to relax and meet others like yourself!

<a name="rules"></a><h1>Guild rules</h1>
Before mentioning rules there is a guideline everyone that everyone should be aware of!<br><div id="update">We don't mind people who don't post much, however please let us know if you're going to have trouble posting even once a month! We like to get to know everyone even a little bit, and to be fair to member wanting to join and chat with us, we will be doing occasional member sweeps of inactive members. Sorry about this in advance, and we will warn you before it happens!</div>

<p>Even though we are a relaxed guild, we'll still need some rules to keep the guild fun and relaxing for everyone. Our rules are simple, but to make sure there is no confusion we have given them here in details. So read on!

<b>Follow TNT's rules</b><br>We do not want to lose any of our members to rule breaking. TNT has eyes everywhere, even when you think it is save, it is not. Sorry to say but this also means we cannot give out prizes for activities or have any giveaways. Repeat, <i>no prizes</i>. It also means that you can be frozen for things you say on the guild board as well, so please be careful, we hate to see members frozen. <b>Be respectful</b><br>Basically be nice to fellow members, and don't mock their ideas or anything else they have to say. We know everyone has a right to their own opinions but seriously, there is no need to say someone's thoughts are stupid.</li>

<b>No fighting on the board</b><br>If you do end up having a problem with someone, please either neomail a council member about the situation, or both members just take it to neomail and figure it out themselves.</li>

<br><br><h1>Consequences</h1>

<div id="update">Sorry to say that there are consequences for breaking the rules, but there have to be. We tried not to make them too severe, if they are please let us know.</div>

If you are found breaking a rule you'll be given 3 warnings in the following order:

<b>Simple neomail warning</b>, asking you not to do it again.</li>

<li>

<b>24 hour suspension from the guild</b>, you will be neomailed about it as well, explaining why.</li>

<li>

<b>72 hours suspension from the guild</b>, again, you will receive and neomail explaining why.</li>

</ol>

If you do not stop breaking the rules after being given the final warning, you'll be kicked out of the guild. We hope never to have to do this but if we do, you will neomailed just before removal.

<a name="ranks"></a><h1>Guild ranks - interest groups</h1>

Interest Groups are our way of having a ranking system in the guild that has no requirements. Anyone can change the interest group they are in to join another at anytime. All they have to do is neomail one of the council members which group they wish to switch to. These groups are based on normal Neopian habits, such as avatar collecting and restocking. So, there should be a group for everyone to fit in!

<br><br>The groups are as follows:

<b>Chatter</b> - This is the group that everyone starts with, mainly because it is a reason why you would join a guild: to chat and make new neofriends. You can stay in this rank if you wish to.<br><i>This group works for: guild chatters, neoboard chatters, or the undecided.</i>

<li>

<b>Collectors</b> - This is the group that includes anything to do about collecting, instead of just saying it is just for avatar collectors. Plus many avatar collectors are collectors of other things, like stamps.<br><i>This group works for: avatar collectors, stamp collectors, trading card collectors, gallery owners, and those who just collect random items.</i>

</li>

<li>

<b>Caregivers</b> - You are all about the caring aspect of Neopia, meaning you love to find pounded pets new homes, look after your own pets and also help out other Neopians on their quests and in reaching their goals. If any part of this sounds like you, then this is probably the group for you.<br><i>This group works for: pound surfers, faerie quest helpers, pound board chatters, Neopet traders, and other kind acts available on Neopets</i>

<li>

<b>Gamer</b> - Want to find someone to challenge to various games or find a partner to play Keyquest with? This group is all about the games and earning neopoints to trophies.<br><i>This group works for: gamers, world challengers and keyquesters</i>

<li>

<b>Shopper</b> - Whether you just like to shop or you do it to earn neopoints, this group is all about shopping. It can help new restockers and mallers with who you can talk with to get advice on where to start. To the more experienced, it's a group who truly appreciates how much work is involved to find the deals. It's a group who truly understands your love of shopping.<br><i>This group works for: restockers, mallers, and shopaholics</i>

Our council members are active members of the guild who help to keep everything running smoothly and updated. Therefore we have provided a description of each position and what they are suppose to do. This way all members can have an idea of what is expected of each council member and what an available position would require to be filled.

If there are any questions she can answer them, also suggestions, opinions, comments, and even complaints can go to her. She wants the guild to run smoothly and drama free, so she'll do her best to keep it that way. <br><b>Note:</b> This position might never be available, unless she (Suz) steps down from it because she believes she cannot do her job anymore.</li>

<b>Held by</b> - <a href="/userlookup.phtml?user=_interrupted_">Laura (_interrupted_)</a><br><b>Title:</b><i> Member Adviser</i> - As the guild goes, a leader always needs help keeping track of members and getting new ones, therefore an adviser is needed. This person does everything related to members, such as: recruiting, making sure members are in the right interest group, looking to see if someone has been completely inactive/frozen, and helping to keep track of people on vacation. Anything member related can go to them.</li>

<b>Held by</b> - No one, it's open!<br><b>Title:</b><i>Idealist</i> - One person cannot be in charge of figuring out new ideas for a guild, therefore more people are needed. Even though this person is not expected to be the only one to come up with an idea, they are expected to help sort through ideas from members and bring them to all the council members to decide. Possibly even make a poll to let the guild decide on an activity, as well. However, this person has been known to submit multiple ideas in the past.<br><i>Requirements for Position</i><ul>
<li>Active member (meaning online regularly)</li>

<li>Creative</li>

<li>Unbiased, not an easy task but you need to be able to not judge an idea because of who wrote it, actually think of how the idea fits the guild as a whole!</li>

<b>Held by</b> - No one, it's open!<br><b>Title:</b><i>Security</i> - We don't want too much drama on the boards and the leader cannot always see all, therefore they'll need a security person. This person will be in charge of making sure rules are followed and to give warnings for misbehaviour. However, they cannot just suspend or delete someone without neomailing the leader/ member adviser first (may be responsible for making new rules if a new rule is needed).
