If you're new to Caffeine! then be prepared for a super charged guild-experience like no other!

If you're used to kiddie and spammy NR guilds, or stuffy Adult guilds - then you're in for a real treat.
Caffeine! is the balance between the two. We're adults who recognize that we're still kids at heart. :)

This page is designed to acquaint you with Caffeine! and make you comfortable as you settle in.

Let us know you've arrived! We really want to get to know you! Don't forget to post an introduction on the guild board. Tell us your name, hobbies, age or anything else that you want us to know! Also be sure to let us know who referred you.

Guild Origins

Caffeine! was created by Toni on December 18th, 2007.

During a harrowing finals week, caffeine had become a vital as oxygen. It was during one sleep-deprived night when Toni was taking a break from one essay or another to check her Neopets. Stopping by the guild-boards for her routine scoff at what guilds had become, she realized that she was tired of playing Neopets without interaction with people her own age. So the idea of a guild suddenly bloomed. Caffeine!

Once the guild was built, Toni posted the story behind Caffeine! as the guild-news. She invited new members to throw their textbooks in the garbage, drink some coffee, and enjoy the fellowship of the guild.

The first member to join Caffeine! was Fire.
Since opening, Caffeine! has grown by leaps and bounds. It's been a huge inspiration to see how much positive feedback the guild has received. And the rest is history.

Caffeine! Ranks

Snoozing;* C'mon sleepy-head! You've just joined Caffeine! so it's time to wake-up and pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea.

Powering Up;* 100 Posts and you've been caught advertising. You're climbing the ranks so don't stop now! =)

Wide Awake;* 500 posts and you've definitely proven that you're not snoozing in the guild. You advertise, help new members, and take part in guild activities. Now you're walking the Caffeine! way.

Buzzing;* 1000 posts! You're definitely feeling the effects of the guild by now. You know the ropes, you know people by name...you probably even know their pets' names. =)

Caffeine Addict;* 2000 posts, but don't let that scare you. This is the most prestigious rank offered by Caffeine! You're an active, dedicated member. At this rank you are eligible to be elected a councilor or sub-councilor in the case of an open position.

Helping the Guild

When new members join Caffeine!, many immediately neomail me and ask, "Is there anything I can do to help?" Generally, I've got most things under control BUT I always appreciate a helping hand. :)
There are a few things that I ALWAYS need help with. :D
  1. Donation Items: I'm always scouting for inexpensive items to stock the Coffee Shop. This includes small trinkets, and drink-related items. (Sometimes members will have some coffee, but forget to return their mugs!)
  2. Calendar Sweeping: We occasionally need someone with time on their hands to scout through the guild-calendar and erase Birthdays and Joining Anniversaries of people who are no longer members of Caffeine!
  3. Advertising: It's sometimes considered the "dirty job" of the guild-world. But with Caffeine!, it's really not. Advertising for us is simple - just make a board on the NeoBoards Guild-section. Make sure to give it a nice, attractive title (and don't forget to include that we're an 18 & Older guild...), then start the bump dance.
    If you post the URL to your Bump-dance on our messageboard, more than likely other Caffeine! members will join in as well.

Donations

Donations can be made through Caffeine!'s Coffee Shop, located HERE. Various drinks and brickabracka can be purchased to help fund guild giveaways and prizes. Sound like fun? I think so !
If you feel so inclined, please return the item(s) to caffeine_guild after your purchase. This will help conserve our guild funds for better prizes.
