!~CLEAR 'EM~!

mastering the art of faerie bubbles

click above to play!

combo (3 or more) destroys all non-water bubbles around it
combo destroys all water bubbles on the field
combo changes all bubbles touching the combo to a random color
combo chages all the dark combo bubbles to random colors
combo fills in extra space any line where there's air bubbles
combo makes a new line of random colored bubbles appear on the screen
i call this one a nova bubble, clears any bubbles it touches within a two bubble radius
the rainbow bubble transforms to the same color as the bubble it touches first, it may not be the one you were aiming for

remember! three of any kinds of bubbles do nothing

  1. the first thing you have to know about faerie bubbles - controls, duh

  2. ok, this is an important one… it doesn't matter how many bubbles threesomes you get on each level, it's how many bubbles you actually shoot.

    example time!

lets say that I have one fire bubble left on the first level. now, I could either shoot two more bubbles and get rid of it, thereby moving to the next level.
but, you might say, you could keep that one fire bubble and keep shooting fire bubbles other places to make more threesomes, getting more points. haha! you'd be horribly wrong! The game awards you more points if you simply clear the level with less shots.

that was my first major mistake when I first starting playing; until I actually looked at my points score in between levels. Those things come in handy…

  3. time for #3! you notice how your screen is moving down every so often? now some people will tell you that you have to get the level cleared quickly before the black thingy pushing your bubbles (hereby know as the black menace) pushes them right into the bottom of your screen, theoretically killing you. This is also horribly wrong! it doesn't matter how fast you clear the screen, it matters how many bubbles you shoot to clear it. you could sit there all day (not shooting bubbles) and the black menace wouldn't move at all. so, take your time, there's no need to rush, sit back and contemplate your moves a little.

  4. *strategy* this is a very complicated thing. it requires more experience than anything, but I'll give you some helpful advice on a couple levels.

this is what level one looks like. you may be saying, 'no it doesn't!' because the bubbles are different elements, but the layout is always the same. the level is pretty simple, but a good idea on this one is to get rid of the light bubbles and then hit the water bubbles. once you get rid of the light bubbles (or the earth ones) if you get any more It's a good idea to shoot them on the water ones, before you're able to get rid of the water ones.

now, I particularly don't like light bubbles – they're too unpredictable. so I either get rid of the combos right away, or I get rid of the ones touching it first. but this is easy, you've probably got the hang of the controls now. I'll just give you what the levels look like, plus a little extra special help at the end. ;P!

    • Level 3 –
ok, this one's pretty easy. the main thing is, get rid of the air bubbles. when i get a water bubble, all those will be cleared out, so i want to keep those around to shoot the dark bubbles onto.
    • Level 4 –
this one's a little tricky. i'm going to shoot a fire bubble next to the single one on the left, and then make a combo of fire ones with the next fire bubble that i get.
    • Level 5 –
on this one, i want to get rid of the fire bubbles before i shoot the light ones, that way i'll be able to clear it quicker. not too hard.
    • Level 6 –
this oneis simple, just remember to try to shoot bubbles that don't have a place to go onto other bubbles, not just onto the screen.
    • Level 7 –
    same one as the last.
    • Level 8 -
this is one of the ones i get stuck on, sometimes. this particular one i want to use the lights to my advantage, the one on the right i can just shoot, but the one on the left i'll put another bubble that touches the earth elements, that way i won't get another row. if they turn to earth or dark or air, you're still messed but you'll be a little better off.
    • Level 9 –
this takes skill, you just have to be good at aiming. also remember to try and get at the lowest row possible, if you have a choice of hitting a drak on the first row or the third, which one are you going to choose? the first row, thats right.
    • Level 10 –
this ones easy, just hit the fire ones. they like to give you mess off levels every now and then.
    • Level 11 –
tricky dicky! try and make a fire combo touching the earth and dark elements that are by each other, the one on the far right is gone, just hit that one before you hit the water bubbles.
    • Level 12 –
ok, make a water combo. shoot your earth bubbles that you get on top of others, just make sure you make a water combo!
    • Level 13 –
this ones kinda easy, either make a fire combo to get to the air bubbles or hit the dark combo, any way to get to the air string. if you hit the air bubbles when they're in a line liek that, they don't do anything. it's wonderful.
    • Level 14 –
i still haven't found a good way around this one, i just try for the best, use fire and water combos, and cheat every once in a while. the slumberberry cheat is good here. thats what i usually use.
    • Level 15 –
bubbles. type it in, no use trying to actually get it, you won't. if you get dark bubbles, your messed.
    • Level 16 –
easy, try to get the bubbles at the ends first. they don't care about difficulty here, they can afford to be arsty because you're not making any more NP. after you reach more than 1,200 points it stops earning you NP. kinda crappy isn't it?
    • Level 17 –
this ones fun, but it can also be a pain, you just have to be a good aim and be incrediably lucky. stardust is fun to use here.
    • Level 18 –
woohoo! bank shots. thats your hint.
    • Level 19 –
try and get the ones in the corners first, it'll open up more pathways for you to use.
    • Level 20 –
ahhh!!!! you made it to the last level, don't you feel special? you should you get an extra two hundred points if you clear this. just try and hope for the best, use any remaining cheats you have. i hope i helped you at least a little bit.

  5. now, for special help…

    • type faerieland to get a rainbow bubble (only works once a game!)

    • type slumberberry to have the black menace retreat fully (only works once a game!)

    • type bubbles to have all the bubbles turn the same element (only works once a game!)
