My first real classic neohome project ended somewhere in 2008 when TNT introduced the V2 homes. My intention was to eventually win the neohome spotlight and trophy with my home (besides giving my pets a place to live), but the V2 homes got in the way of my ambitions. Dispirited, I left my home as it was and started focusing on another main goal: a pirate paint brush. Months later I realised I had tons of Neopoints sitting idly in my old neohome. I was a little reluctant to undo all the effort I put into it, but after another few months I started clearing out room after room. The only rooms I left intact were my baby Kougra Dingsebom's bed- and playroom on the ground floor, and the library on the first floor. Those I really did not want to demolish, they were (and are) still very dear to me. When I had finally achieved my paint brush goal, the classic neohome itch started again. I have tried the V2 homes but they don't work for me. I prefer the creative possibilities of the "old" homes. After demolishing all rooms and gardens (except the three I mentioned earlier), I designed the basic pattern for my new home - a fresh start. I wanted my home to be not only pretty, but also functional. That means common rooms on the ground floor, "rooms with a function" on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. Remembering how much time and energy I had put in creating the Rawr! Library on the first floor, I really did not want to move that room. This meant I had to fit my first floor design around it. Alternatively, Dingsebom's bed- and playroom were located on the ground floor. Those rooms have been demolished and re-installed on the second floor. Anyway, I'll stop boring you now and show some pictures of my home. As more rooms are finished, updates will follow... Hope you enjoy the tour (without the pesky yellow squares). Feel free to send me comments or suggestions! If you are also a fan of the old homes, or have recently discovered their potential, feel free to come and chat on the PNT/CA thread ( neohome board ). People are friendly and always ready to give advice. The thread may be a little slow but there is bound to be someone lurking at all times who can answer your questions. ![]() This is the basic plan of the ground floor.
