Note: If a Quest is marked with an asterisk it means sefiriah would like more information. If you are questing for Illusen, sefiriah would appreciate it if you could neomail us with the Quest Level and item asked for. Thank you!

General
So, who is this faerie in a green dress anyway? Illusen lives in a peaceful glade in Meridell. She asks Neopets who visit her to retrieve items and with each successful quest, the items become more difficult and (generally) more expensive to retrieve.
So why run errands for her then you ask? Fortunately, Illusen doesn't leave you empty handed. For completing certain quests, you are rewarded with items. For a full list, refer to the table on the right.
As well as the item rewards, there are High Score trophies and two avatars up for grabs.
Most fellow Neopets however, will tell you that the reason they Quest is to successfully complete Quest 35 and be awarded the Honey Potion (a powerful Battledome weapon). However, for myself, sefiriah Quester Extraordinaire *cough*, I love Questing for the fun of it and I simply can't resist spending neopoints! (It's no secret that questing for Illusen can get terribly expensive - if you are just after the Honey Potion, you *may* be better off buying one from another user than spending your points on these Quests).
Questing
There are a total of 50 Quests that you can complete for Illusen. Successful completion of a Quest means you move up to the next Quest level. If you fail a Quest, your score will be reset and you must start again from Quest 1. The important stuff:
- When you accept a Quest, Illusen gives you between 16 and 17 minutes to complete it.
- You can complete a Quest every 12 hours. However, if you complete a Quest for Jhudora, Illusen will not be happy and you must wait 12 hours from the time you completed Jhudora's quest before you are back in Illusen's good book.
- It is a timed Quest, therefore you may use the Shop Wizard as well as the Trading Post, Auction House or Neopian Shops to buy the item needed.
- The higher the Quest, the higher the rarity of the item Illusen will ask for. By the time you reach Quest 35, she asks for Rarity 98-99 items.
- You cannot complete an Illusen quest on Jhudora Day (February 4th).
Why does Illusen need these items I hear you wonder? Good question. From the Neopedia: "Under the glade is a cavern filled with trinkets and treasures, but as to why she's collecting them... even the wisest scholars can only guess." Perhaps we'll never know...
Avatars
Illusen's Glade: Obtain this avatar by successfully completing Quest 20.
Illusen Doll: Successfully complete a Quest on Illusen Day - March 17th.
Trophies

Pretty, aren't they? Want one all for your ownsome? Here's how!
As mentioned above, the Quests are time based. The faster you complete a Quest, the higher your points. Points are cumulative over the month, so the more Quests you complete during that month, the better!
To maximise your points for the month, you need to start from Quest 1 on the first day of the month. Completing the Quests as fast as possible every 12 hours (for example at 8am and 8pm) will keep you in the High Score table and hopefully a trophy position.
Let's look a little more closely on how you are scored for completing quests. Illusen gives you 1000 seconds to successfully complete a quest (16 minutes and 40 seconds). You have the potential to score a maximum 2000 points for each quest. You will lose 1 point from this for every half-second it takes you to complete the quest.
Now, since we know Illusen will ask for items with rarity 10-15 on Quest 1, having a selection of those items in your inventory will greatly improve your chances of a trophy. There are currently 87* possible items Illusen can ask for on Quest 1:

*IMPORTANT! Items appearing in italics can only be purchased from the Neohomes NP Superstore. Items in the store display randomly and you must click on 'more' in the category your item is in to view the full collection. I recommend you have a separate browser window/tab open to this shop. Update: In Issue 378 of The Neopian Times, a question was asked where to buy these items from. TNT's answer was:
Those items can be purchased from the Neohomes Superstore in the Bazaar area of Neopia Central. They're always in stock there. We'll doublecheck with Jhudora to make certain whether she really wants those items or not. Wish us luck!
The above also applies for Illusen as she has been asking for these items. TNT may change this is future, but for now, assume Illusen can still ask for these.
If you are going to try this method, choose 49 of the above items (excluding the Neohome NP Superstore items because you already have a separate page open for that, right?). You'll need that extra spot if she asks for an item you don't have. Read on!
Before you accept a Quest, make sure you have plenty of Neopoints on hand. Have two browser windows (or tabs) open - one to Illusen's Glade, the other to the Shop Wizard. On the Shop Wizard page, ensure identical to my phrase is selected in the Search Items box.
Accept the Quest, close your eyes and spin on the spot three times. OK, that may not guarantee you a trophy - just give Illusen the item pronto!
Don't despair if you haven't received a trophy in the first few days. As a dedicated Quester, you'll be shining up that new addition to your cabinet within a week, I'm sure!
Quest Log
Sefiriah thought it would be fun to keep a record of what Quest level he is currently up to (I think it's just an excuse for me to update his petpage really).
Sefiriah is rather vague on his Questing before the Honey Potion (high fives!), although I think he quested once or twice and made it as far as the low 30s. His current Quest attempts are below:

A big thank you to everyone who has provided me with their Quest details so I could collate this data - you're all fabulous! A special thank you to Ben for further information regarding Quest scoring. Please note that this is a guide only to rarity levels and as such may not be 100% accurate (although I'd like to think we're pretty close!).
A lot of time has been spent creating this page. Do not use or copy any part of it (including coding and images). Thank you.
