INSTRUCTIONS!!

To start off you will need the following things:

Felt sheets in colors Blue, Light purple, White, and Pink

Fabric Paint in colors Dark purple, Glitter colors Pink and White, White, Pink, and Black

and
Sewing Needle and Embroidery Thread in colors that match your felt

Sewing Pins to hold your pattern in place

Craft Stuffing or Poly Fill.

This pattern was created entirely by me please dont steal my work! To use this pattern right click and save to your computer then print full page

This is the stitch you will be using to sew your pieces together. It is fairly simple to do and it is called a Loop or Whip stitch.

We will start by pinning down the pattern pieces. Pin the Head, ears and hands to the white felt, The dress, dress bottom, sleeves, and wings to the light purple, The crown to the blue and the hair will be made from the pink. After you have them all pinned down then you will need to cut them out and you are ready to start sewing! We will start with the head.

Unpin the pattern from the pieces you have cut out. Thread your needle with some white thread. Now take 2 pieces and sew one edge together, using the whip stitch, as close to the edge as you can without ripping the felt from tip to tip. Make sure to keep your stitches tight and when you finish the edge be sure to tie off your thread, an easy way to do this is to start off with a whip stitch but circle the needle with the thread a few times and pull the needle through, and snip off the "tail" to use with the next piece.

After you have 2 pieces of the head sewn together it's time to put the ears on. To do this unpin the pattern from the ear pieces and take one ear, fold it in half length wise and place about 1/2 an inch away from the "top" of your head. Make sure the folded part of the ear is facing the top of the head. Take a third portion of the head and place on top of the ear and sew the pieces together using the whip stitch making sure to catch both layers of the folded ear. After you have finished this unfold the layers so the seam is facing to the inside and your ear is sticking out. Make sure it is in the place you desire and that you have sewn in all the layers. Then repeat with the other ear on the opposite side.

When done right this is how the ear should look when you unfold the pieces.

Continue sewing the rest of the pieces together as you did with the first 2, when you get to the last seam you will need to leave an opening to stuff through.

This is how it should look =)
now you stuff it!

There really is no set amount of stuffing that you need, it all depends on how much you want to put in. Just fill it up as much as you like making sure you will still be able to close the opening afterward. After you have stuffed the head to your liking you need to close the opening. All you need to do is sew the opening shut just like you sewed the pieces together making sure none of your stuffing is sticking out and that your seams are not stretched (this may mean you have over stuffed your head and will need to remove some of the stuffing or risk having your seam burst later on.)When you are finished it should look something like this:

Now what you need to do is give her a face, on the larger side of the head. Take the black fabric paint and outline the eyes. To keep the head even it will be easier if you use the center seam as a guide. Use the purple fabric paint to make the colored part of the eye, then add a white dot for the pupil. Draw a thin purple line over the top of the eye for an eyebrow. Now take the pink fabric paint and draw a mouth once again using the center seam as a guide. It should look something like this:

Now set it aside for the paint to dry and we will start on the dress!

First step is to gather the dress pieces, the dress bottom, the sleeves and the hands.

Take two pieces of the hand pattern and sew them together using the whip stitch, (these will be to small to flip inside out so remember to make them look neat!) and do the same with the other two pieces. After take 2 pieces from the sleeve pattern and place the hand (thumb side towards the longest end sleeve point, not the shoulder)and then sew the sleeve together making sure to catch the end of the hand in between the two pieces, and remember to leave an opening to stuff through! Flip the sleeve inside out so that the seam is to the inside and stuff then sew the opening shut. You should end up with something that looks like this:

(I was in my pj's while making this... hence the froggies on my pants lolz!)

Now to start on the dress it's self. Take two pieces of the dress and sew the straight edge together all the way. With the second two pieces do the same only leave an opening to turn it inside out and stuff through. Now take the two pieces and the sleeves you have made and sew them together. To do this properly you need to make sure your sleeves are bothing facing the same way with the thumbs down. Place the arms as close to the top as you can and place the other side of the dress on top (make sure the seams of the dress are facing you when you do this step or they will be on the outside of your dress when you flip it inside out!)
When you are finished sewing the dress together it should look something like this:

Although it may look square after you have finished sewing it together it will soon become round. Now you need to sew the bottom of the dress on! Take the dress bottom and place it inside the hole at the bottom of the dress while it is still inside out. Sew the dress bottom to the dress using the whip stitch making sure to line up the ends all the way around. Cut the dress bottom down to size if it is too big

Now you're ready to flip it right side out through the space you left before.

Your arms should be even and there should be no bulgy seams. Now you're ready to stuff the dress/body!

Once again there is no required amount of stuffing you need to fill it with, as long as your seams are not stretched and there is room enough to close the opening you should be fine! So after you have stuffed the body to your desired firmness you are ready to close the opening, just like all the others use a whip stitch and it should look like this:

When finished.
Now you can add the purple paint around the bottom for the dress trim

Now for the wings!!!!

You'll need your glittery fabric paint for this!

Unpin the pattern from the wings and lay them out as mirror images. Then design them how you wish using the glittery fabric paints! There is no set rule to this bit as each one of these will be an individual project it is yours to design as you wish! Although a must is for a thin line of purple fabric paint around the edges of the wings

Set them aside to dry for a few hours.

After they have dried they can be sewn together. Take the straight edge of each wing and line them up, then using the whip stitch sew them together.

Then decide which side of the body will be the front and sew the wings to the back using the whip stitch.

I find the easiest way to do this is by lining up the seam of the wings with the seam on the back, folding the wings in half and whip stitching the wings to one side, then flipping them to the other side and whip stitching them to that side as well, then open them up and they should stay to open that way.

Now we get to the hardest part, sewing on the head. There should be a flat area on top of the arms that you can sew onto the head to keep it in place. This will involve alot of squishing and bending of the head so make sure that your paint is dry!

Using small whip stitches attach the head to the body, or for an easier alternative you can try attaching them with a strong fabric glue (however if using a glue I recommend  applying the hair to the head before gluing the head to the body.)
When you have the head attached it should look like this:

Now for the hair!
You will need the pink felt for this, I made my hair by cutting strips of felt about 1/8 of an inch wide across the short side of the felt sheet. Then I cut them in half length wise for the long set hair and in fourths for the short bangs (you can have as many hairs as you like there is no set limit.).

First off we will start with the bangs. Take the strips and align them with the seam in the middle of the face all the way back to the seam where the ears are attached.

And you do this on both sides of the seam. Doing it this way gives the appearance of a hair "part".

Next you need to attach the hair to the side of the head so it doesnt stick straight out. To do this you pull the felt strip down and put a small stitch to the head to keep the "strand" in place. And you do this on both sides.

Now it's time for the longer strands which go on the back of the head. You attach these the same way as you did the shorter ones, whip stitching them to the top of the head (however this time it might be easier to work side to side instead of along the seam, and doing it this way will also help you find where to place the crown.)

Then put a "tack stitch" at the bottom of the head to hold the felt in place just as you did with the short strips.

And this completes the hair! One more step and you're all done!

Now here we have the crown.

To make the crown a round 3D circle you need to sew the two side edges together, then open it up. Whip stitch this to the top of the head in between the two ears where your hair has been sewn across the seam and tie it off once you have finished.

Snip the thread and Viola!!! You now have your very own hand made Faerie Queen Doll... and look at that, you saved yourself 2million np!
