Welcome
Haven is a small piece of land situated just on the edge of the Brightvale Forests. Within this territory all fights and disagreements are immediately called to a truce, and all who enter can relax in peace. There is a boundary of magic surrounding it which immediately eliminates the hard and unhappy feelings as soon as you are within it (there is no way over or under the spell). Any harm targeted at you from outside the boundary when you are inside, is evaporated as soon as it hits the divide.
Haven has multitudes of beaten paths to hike and climb, ancient faerie ruins to explore, and flowers everywhere. Every Faerie has come there at least once in their lifetime. Fruits and vegetables are much larger and healthier in the Haven, and even the flowers are large enough to be intoxicatingly scented and silken beds. A large waterfall splashes into natural rock tiers before plunging into a pool below. There is a way for Water Faeries to swim in from the oceans and lakes but the tunnel has yet to be mapped. A grotto is just behind the waterfall, but the only thing it contains is forgotten pirate's treasure. When the sunlight hits the waterfall just right, it sends gold sparkles and multi-coloured specks reflecting off the jewels and dubloons, across the entire area.
The word haven is defined as, "A place of refuge or rest; a sanctuary". This Internet Clique/Fanlisting was originally created to uphold the hope that the majority of Neopets users would be friendly to all people, and never be vulgar or unkind. A place where the supporters of a G-Rated website really showed their appreciation for it. However, not using an official layout, it became extensively hard for TSZO to update the member's list continuously. Therefor, she came back to the website and totally ran it through a new look and theme that would be easier to manage.
This Clique is now all about helping you, the Faerie Fan, catagorize exactly which type of Faerie you are. Go with it, it's fun!

Categories
Now we begin the categorizing process. First I will list the main elements of Neopian faeries and their attributes. Once you pick one you can go down to sub-catagories or click the link in the menu.
Fire Faeries:
Fire Faeries have general power over all that involves heat and the stars. Fire signifies action, power, and passion. The Zodiac signs Fire has power over are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The sun and the property of "Yang" also has a strong influence over it. Being Yang does not necessarily mean you are male, but have fierce and independent qualities sometimes. Fire provides warmth, and is the definitive of all creation. While lava flows and fires destroy many fields and homes, whatever is left behind leaves new, fresher, and better life. Though it can cloud skies and choke our throats, and it can even destroy other things like every other element, there is always rebirth after it. When bonded to Earth elements it can create explosive tectonic plate movements, and the creation of new land. Combined with Air elements can create lightning or thunder. Fire Faeries act on pure emotion and gut feelings, they love anything intensely and have high amounts of pride. Given enough initiative they fight incredibly hard and are willing to die for someone else. Strength is a heightened quality.
Earth Faeries:
Earth Faeries have general power over plant-life, rock formations, soil, and mainly terrain in general. Earth signifies giving security, and the need for security. The Zodiac signs Earth has power over are Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo. The moon and the property of "Yìn" also has a strong influence over it. Being Yìn does not necessarily mean you are female, but have calm and lucid qualities sometimes. As plants give oxygen, food, and way to prosperity and life, some are cannibalistic and destroy other plants or other forms of life. While soil gives birth to plants and gives foundations, rock or mudslides are deadly, as are earthquakes. Earth elements can bond with Fire elements to create magma, glass, and other such things. Earth Faeries are stubborn and set in their methodic ways. Given enough initiative they are strong protectors and simple but level-headed. Stamina is a heightened quality.
Air Faeries:
Air Faeries have general power over anything that involves air, or gasses. Air signifies freedom of -disallowed_word- and yet nothing). Good and evil, fire and water, you get the basic gist. Remember to note, just because someone is a "Dark Faerie", doesn't necessarily mean they're evil (example, "The Betrayer" in her early years). Being a "Light Faerie" or a Faerie of other elemental property doesn't automatically make them good (example, "The Grey Faerie", she obviously did something wrong, but that doesn't really make her evil either). Faeries are practically human, they have their own alignment and course no matter what faerie catagory they are born into. To see more on basic alignment, view Aligning.

Sub-Types
Since you have chosen a basic element we continue on to basically sub-catagorize you into your chosen Faerie. What happens here, is that the things under that element's power are listed. If you want to be more specific then little examples of options are listed by each after a dash. Based upon those options you can then come up with your own, they can pretty much be all of those types unless they cross into other elements. Even if they're in a faerie tale you heard, you can use it. Please don't just make them up.
Fire Elements:
Volcano - Vesuvius, Fuji, Kilauea

Finishing Up
Well now that you have chosen your final element (afer a very long-winded walkthrough), simply insert it (in lowercases) to the area with the three consecutive underscores in the front of the text code. You should end up with something like this:
vesuvius }:{ faerie
OR
diamond }:{ faerie
OR
tradewind }:{ faerie
OR
nile }:{ faerie
OR
seraphim }:{ faerie
Remember, you don't necessarily have to use those sub-types exactly, do some research and look some different ones up. Thesaurus.com is a great place to find different ways to say one specific thing. You can even change your element when you feel like it. Even so, it has to make sense. If you've come up with something else you think should be added, just contact us!

Aligning
Basically, the alignment refers to two axis, good versus evil, which is what you think it is. There's also law versus chaos, which refers to a persons preference with regard to order and disorder. There are nine alignments in the basic system (commonly called the D&D system).
Lawful Good
Neutral Good
Chaotic Good
Lawful Neutral
True Neutral
Chaotic Neutral
Lawful Evil
Neutral Evil
Chaotic Evil
Neutral can refer to either a balanced attitude or a lack of preference. because of this, non-sentients such as non-intelligent animals are always true neutral (they do not have the intelligence necessary to pick a side), although sometimes this policy is violated (especially with non-sentient undead). However, since in the Neopian world "animals" are replaced by thinking, feeling, working Neopets, they are subject to alignment and are considered sentient. For more information, go to the following website: http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_(role-playing_games)
After you have read through, feel free to take this Alignment Test (D&D Based):

Frequently Asked
Q: Why is this still going?
A: I really did just love the base of the idea, and I wanted to make something like a Fanlisting but not so taxing.
Q: This is really pointless. Who would like this or even participate?
A: To be honest, my guess is 0. The big ZE-ro. It's for fun. It's not imperative to me.
Q: How do you know all this stuff?
A: You pick up a few things when you study lots of diverse things like I do. I never ever had a use for any of this knowledge, so it gave me an opportunity to place it somewhere.
Q: You're pretty lazy to just link us to a site about alignment and not type it out yourself.
A: May a thousand Veespa infest your loins. I assume your alignment is Lawful Evil.
Q: Can I have Neopoints?
A: The answer to that, is no. It took me my entire existence on Neopets, not including my several hiatus' to even scrounge enough to paint my Lupe. The Uni was a fluke because I accidentally zapped that instead of Enhergiest. Granted, I was incredibly grateful because that was one less thing to quest for. I'm flat broke.
Q: If you really started on that other account, why don't you log in?
A: As you can see from the year difference between my current account and my very first one, it's kind of extensive. I forgot I even had that account until I found it written down, and I can't even log into it now because my birthdate won't match up anymore. Sounds pretty silly doesn't it? Well back in the day we could still change our birthdates, and when I went on hiatus a friend of mine played a prank and changed the birthdate (obviously a very minor prank, he's not good at these types of things). Of course he had no way of knowing TNT would disable changing that and as a result ... Tah dah. I can't log in. He chose a random birthdate and the pass retrieval doesn't send that sooooo ... ! Yep. If TNT ever impliments birthdate retrieval you can be I'll be logging back in.
Q: Why did you leave in the first place anyway?
A: Long story. I just lost all point in it afterwards. I'm back now though! Really kinda rips me up that I missed some great plots though.
