The uni foal blinked her eyes slowly and gazed up at the two unis watching her. One was a beautiful mare, her smooth grey coat covered in dark stripes, her sandy mane flopping gracefully over her intense red eyes. The other uni, a muscular male lowered his head to reveal a row of sharp spines along his back and an impressive pair of deep purple wings. The two adult unis nuzzled each other and smiled. The foal sneezed and was immediately comforted by the mare. The foal gazed up at the sky as she heard a soft singing. She spotted a small carmariller flying towards her, landing next to her. The pair stared at each other and the carmariller reached out to hug the uni foal. The pair knew instantly that they had found a friend for life.

3..2..1 ready or not here I come!

The uni stretched out her wings and shook her grey mane as she took off from the ground in search of her friends. She soared through the sky, her eyes scanning the landscape. As she flew over the lake she spotted bubbles fizzing from below. She dived down and grabbed a struggling darigan meerca from the water.

Found you! That's one down, one more to go.

Ruperas reared up and charged off in a lightning fast gallop. The meerca blinked and sighed, his friend was way too competitive. The powerful uni rammed her horns into a tree, leaves falling all around her. She stepped back and ran at the tree with all of her power. The tree snapped in two and fell to the ground, a golden coloured darigan pteri fell with it. Ruperas ran towards her friend and flung the pteri onto her back , before charging off once again, tossing her mane and snorting. High up in the sky Lord Darigan watched the powerful uni showing off her strength. He grinned and pointed at one of his minions.

Fetch me that uni.

The uni inhaled and exhaled, upon her slowly moving back was a small darigan carmariller. The carmariller twitched his ears and looked around, his face scrunched up in anxiety. He tapped the sleeping uni with his small paws and whimpered. The uni raised her head and immediately heard a squeal. She turned around and was confronted with three menacing darigan tonus, each covered with sharp armour. She lowered her head to defend herself but was tangled in a steel net.

Her eyes widened as she saw her partner, Spike being pushed into a small crate. She thumped her heavy tail against the net, trying to break free but was just covered with more nets, preventing any escape. She felt her eyes close as she fell to the ground in exhaustion.

Ruperas opened her eyes slowly and stared at the scene surrounding her. Deep purple walls covered with strange artefacts and scrolls with writing on. She spotted a grey coloured korbat dressed in dark grey robes, his intense yellow eyes fixed upon Ruperas's figure.

Welcome Ruperas, I am Lord Darigan. I've been waiting to finally meet you in person.

Ruperas lifted herself up and opened her mouth to speak but was stopped by Lord Darigan.

Spare me your questions Ruperas. You want to know why you are here right? I have brought you here to train you for the upcoming war with Meridell. You have intelligence, cunning and raw power, making you the perfect warrior. So do you accept? Will you fight alongside Darigan's finest warriors?

Ruperas studied Lord Darigan's face carefully as he spoke, noticing the disgust when he mentioned Meridell. The uni examined her own life, her strength was wasted messing around with her friends. She smirked and nodded her head.

Very well Lord Darigan I will join your army and fight alongside you to defeat Meridell.
