A path on the outer city limits call you to follow. Hesitantly you do. Soon, however, you find youself swallowed my the dark forest that had crept stealthfully upon you; lost. You stumble around the thick mass of tree trunks lying in your foward path. Dusk is drawing near and panic sets in. Thump, thump, thump, you heart beats as you glance every which way. A sudden noise stops you in your tracks. All goes quiet and you find yourself peering into a pair of mellow green eyes. The black creature emerges from the thick underbrush. His sheer presence comforts you. Your once immense tention fades and you feel... safe.
With a gentle nudge from the lupe you follow, unquestioningly. You walk for some time, calmly, through the ever darkening forest. A faint glow can be seen ahead. Within moments and without thinking you bend and enter the den. It has an overwelming warmth about it, especially once in from the chilly night air. Why shant you stay?
Ris's presence is calming and stable, you'd never know he's a bit shy, esp. around humans, but once he gets famalarized with someone or thing he's quite a bold individual. He's never been 'learned' but he's brilliant in the setting of the forest. You may say it's his element. Ris is clever when he needs be but for the most part, kind. Kind, not only in silence but voice as well. Always looking out for others, he's very unselfish; it's just his nature. He'd be the one you'd want as a friend ... and it's not surprising he hasn't enemies.
I was abandoned. I have no idea why, when or even where. I grew up in these dark woods, raised by Shima, an owl. A wonderful mother she was too. She taught me, simply, how to survive. What water to drink and healing roots she showed me; and I learned, grew, and thrived. I became quite attached to this earth that she opened my eyes too and so I had begun to encompass myself with it. While wandering the woods, years ago, I suddenly stopped and became suspended some feet above the ground. That's when I had the vision that forever changed my life; gave me a purpose. I saw this particular root; one I had never seen before. The voice, though I can't remember what it said, seemed to be urging me to find it. Eventually I did. It took me a while after that though to unlock it's healing power, but again, I eventually did. Those ailing, I healed with it; as it was stronger than all the others my mother had shown me combined. Though powerful it could immortalize, and so my mother left me. I mourned but have no regret nor believe she had either. Despite my loss, I continued my healing work.
My first real adventure began when I meet Alcatraz, a seemingly similar looking lupe as I. He took me flying (on the back of a dragon!!) and though I was, I must admit, a bit apprehensive at first I finally was able to feel the joy my mother had always felt through her wings. We swapped stories, shared laughs, and enjoyed each other's company when on firm ground at his plantation -yes, he has a dragon herd. Speaking of which, that's how I came to own XV and yet another reason to thank Alcatraz for not only the time of my life but a close companion.
I live and breathe this earth. These woods are still my home, and I still explore them with extreme wonder. Healing is my calling and I continue it with quite a passion. XV has joined me in this work.
I will contine to heal; for this duty has been placed upon my shoulders, and mine alone. Once I die my body will return to this earth and sprout up fresh shoots. I am proud of this as aren't we all a part of the never-ending cycle of lif.
Ris is a regular looking skunk lupe, though he has no white stripe down his nose. He wears a feather and leaf necklace in rememberance of his past. His eyes are green, matching the crubmling leaf. The pads of his feet are blackish grey and the stripe down his back and underbelly is a greyish white, nothing too bold.
The most important and relavant member of my family is my 'adopted' owl mother, Shima. Also I'd be happy to introduce you to Rai, Ro, Kamar, and Mona; They are the closest of my adopted family (of course, we aren't blood related) Oh, XV too.
Shima, her name actaully meaning mother, took me in when I was a pup. She put up with my tugs and inconvience as a presence, as I could not fly. With tender care and devotion she raised and nutured me as if I were one of her own. I owe her my life to this day for I could have not survived in that forest without her. I dearly love her and to my remorse, is no longer of this world. The feather strung around my neck is in remembrance of her.
Rai, Ro, Kamar, and Mona will be posted here =)
I was a bit apprehensive about accepting Fifteen at first, but we've come to quite an understanding. We're the closest of compantions.

You slowly arise from your sleeping position and glance around. A dream? Why, no. The lupe sits patiently to the right... almost in a different world of thought. He looks sorrowful though. Perhaps he senses your will to leave. It is growing lighter; out there in the woods. You turn and trustfully lay your eyes upon the ever so helpful lupe. Without hesitating he rises and leads you out of the den. He walks with you for quite some time meandering around the trees with ease. At a familiar path he stops and looks. You recognize the area. The same path which you stubmled off the night before. You will him thankfullness and ..hesitantly head on your way.
Can't find your way out?
