How To Download Fonts
When you first get photoshop or paint or any other graphic making program, all you get are a bunch of basic, boring fonts like Arial, Comic Sans MS, and Verdana. But if you look around there are many more fonts than that! Hopefully, this tutorial will help you download some awesome fonts.
Instructions
1.) Open up a website where you can download fonts. You can get some free fonts at dafont(look up 'dafont' on google). (In this tutorial, that is the website I'm going to be downloading from)
2.) Now that you're on dafont, you will face some options. You can look up the name of a font (example: cheri) or click 'Top 100', ect.
3.) When you find a font that you like, look over at the very right and you should see 2 options: 'Download' and 'Donate to author.' Click on 'Download.
4.) Now a little window will pop up. Click 'Open' and wait for it to load (which will take about 2 seconds if not 0 seconds)
5.) Now you need to unzip your font. And as you can see, the title of the next window says 'ZIP Reader...'. Click 'Browse' and search for WindowsFonts, if not just 'Fonts'. But mine dosen't have that, so whenever I download a font I erase everything in the text bar, and just type in C:WINDOWSFonts. Now click 'Next'.
6.) Now it should say:
Archive successfully unzipped.
1 file(s) or folder(s) were unzipped, 0 skipped.
The unzipped files are located in:
C:WINDOWSFonts
Open this folder to veiw unzipped files
Okay, now at the bottom there will be a button that says "Finish". Click that, and you are almost done! :)
Part 2
1.) Time for the easy part. At the bottom of your screen, click "start". You should find a link that says "Control Panel". Click there.
2.) So now you have opened your control panel. Double click on "Fonts".
3.) Now you're facing all of your fonts! Click on the one you downloaded. It'll show how it looks in every font size. Click "Done".
4.) Congratulations! You are now done. Open up your graphic-making program and your font should be there. But it may not, some graphic programs come with fonts that are already there. It will even work with 'Paint'. If you didn't understand this tutorial, let me know and I'll be glad to help!
