I lived in a little village when I was young, deep in a tropical forest.

Everyone there had a pair of dragon wings, something unique about us. Even my parents had them. Ufourtunatly I never knew them though. They died not long after I was born.

I was lucky enough to be cared for by a family in the village. When ever I asked them about my family however, they never told me. They seemed to dodge the subject. At least they told me the truth about them...

Everything was happy for awhile. I when to school, and had friends and a family,but then everythign changed one day.

It was the after noon when I went out that day. The weather had been sunny, but had quickly changed into a raging storm. I was deep in the middle of the forest, out to explore.

I couldn't fly home, the wind was too strong. I was forced to walk back, but I'd never make it back.

I was about half way home when I heard the loudest crack of thunder I ever heard in my life. A lighting bolt had struck me, yet I survived. I was greatly startled and scared though, not to mention burnt.

Hurt to go any farther, I layed there in the rain, cold and scared. Eventualy the rain stopped, and I fell asleep.

I awoke to voices calling my name. I got up, dispite the pain from my burns. I tried to fly, but something was wrong. I looked back at my wings. All the webbing was missing.

It was then that the others found me. At first they were happy to see me, but when they saw my wings they had a different attitude. I was now an outcast. I was the only one in the entire village who couldn't fly.

My 'family' wouldn't let me return home. I was too different. I became even more different when the burns healed. My fur and eyes were different. They wouldn't even let me in the village then. I had to fend for myself.
