Introduction

You know how sometimes when you hate things that you're not good at and like things you are good at. Well, this game when it was originally Jelly Processing Plant was one of the things I just hated (becasue I wasn't very good at it). However, recently, they rereleased it under the name of Hungry Skeith. I soon realised that it was the featured game in Better Than You! which I love to try every Thursday. I saw that only a few people had won so I had a play. I didn't think much of it. It was very slow on the first level so I just ended the game with 16 points. The next day lots more had won. I wasn't that bothered about winning - I already had the 'Better Than You!' avatar and I already had the bronze trophy on offer. The item was worth nearly 15,000NP - that's what caught my eye (also, the old avatar that was also rereleased would be a bonus). So, I decided to have another go (assuming that the levels got progressively harder). Be careful what you wish for! They did get harder as the levels went on. I found they got more fun as the levels went on aswel. When my lives finally maxed out I was about 220 points away from winning. This gave me motivation to try and win. Eventually I did, which gave me motivation to get a gold trophy which I have yet to do. I have since got the silver trophy though! But enough about me, obviously you wanted to find out about the game, yes? Thought so. So let me begin.

The instructions before you even load the game say:

Jellies come down the conveyor belt. Blue jellies go in the Blue vat. Red jellies go in the Red vat. Green jellies, yes no prizes for guessing where they go, the green vat. It's not a fun job, but somebody's got to do it.
At the Jelly Factory the Buzz Foreman takes great pride in making sure that the Jelly is of top quality, and that is where the Skeith comes in - he gets to eat all the other food (ice-cream!) that makes its way down the conveyor belt.
To play, use the arrow keys to control the Buzz Foreman. Pick up the Jellies with the Space Bar and drop them in the correct vat at the back of the factory. The Skeith is not allowed to eat the Jelly however, if he eats it, or the wrong jelly goes into the wrong

And the in-game instructions say:

Control Foreman Buzz has to make sure that all the jellies get into the proper chutes and that the hungry skeith eats all of the icecream. Use the arrow keys to move Buzz and the space bar to pick up and drop food. You can also drop items on the convayor belt at the back of the factory in order to delay them.

So, you've read the provided set of instructions but still want more information?

You play the Buzz who is a control foreman at the jelly processing plant. Here he is.

Your task, if you choose to accept it (which obviously you have if your reading this page) is to make sure that the red jelly goes into the red vat, the blue jelly goes into the blue vat and the green jelly goes into the green. Here are the red, blue and green jellies respectively...

...and bellow are the vats (also red, blue then green).

You must make sure not to put them in the wrong vats otherwise you will lose a life. You must not put any of the other items into the vats either, or you will lose a life. And if you let the skeith (who is hungery) feast upon the jellies, then you will lose a life.

There is a purpose to the skieth, he will eat those useless jellies for free of charge. Here is a picture of that skeith - So kind doing us such a favour to sit on his big prosterior and eat all day long. Well any way, here he is...

...and here are the things that we should allow him to eat.

As you start the game, it should look like this.

This shows you the level that you are on (in this case level 1) and bellow that it tells you how many items you must sucesfully put into the vat to move onto the next level. At the bottom it also shows you your present score (which is 0), the number of items that you have sorted correctly (shown as 0/5) and the number of tries or lives that you have remaining (which is 5 at the start of each new game). There is also the option of ending the game which will end the game imediately. From that point you can either send your score or restart the game.

The image above shows you many things which I have labled.

  1. Shows where the items come from, items can also be dropped here
  2. The items go here a short while before they imerge at 3
  3. The items finaly exit here
  4. This is where you can pick the items up for the first time, items can also be dropped here
  5. The vats (also reffered to as chutes), this is where the jellies should be deposited

The Levels

As the levels go up, so does the number of jellies that you need to sort (by 5 each time) and the speed at which they come down the ramp. So, basically the difficulty increases (as expected).
Level 1 - 5 jellies
Level 2 - 10 jellies
Level 3 - 15 jellies
Level 4 - 20 jellies
Level 5 - 25 jellies
Level 6 - 30 jellies
Level 7 - 35 jellies
Level 8 - 40 jellies
Level 9 - 45 jellies
Level 10 - 50 jellies
Level 10 is the heighst level that you can get to.

top

Enough about all that, I want to know about points, scores and prizes!

Now we're talking! Now this is simple:

  • Red jelly is worth 3 points
  • Blue jelly is worth 5 points
  • Green jelly is worth 8 points
  • Other items are worth 0 points
Currently for every 100 points scored in this game, you get 80NP and just like every other game, you may send your score 3 times per day giving you the opportunity to potentially win 3000NP!

There are also trophies up for grabs for the top 17 players! The trophy system is as follows: Players with the top 100 scores get into the leader board (found by clicking here). The top 9 - 17 players get a bronze trophy, the top 4 - 8 players get a silver trophy and the top 1 - 3 players get a gold trophy! The heighst possible (thoretical) score that you could get would be 2200 (be getting only green jellies. This is only thoretical though because it appears if you have too many jellies in play, when you go to pick a jelly off of the convayer belt, it places a red jelly out of nowhere.

Also, there is an secret avatar avaliable to win if you can get over the score of 1000 in the game!

This is supposed to be difficult though so please don't get too frustrated with it - but if you do, let the frustration fuel you aim of winning the avatar!
