The Muddy Traveler is a medium-sized private guild with a literature theme. Our members all enjoy reading and/or writing, and many are aspiring authors, although being a writer is not a requirement in the guild. We do enjoy discussing books, and our members are all mature literates, despite the fact that some are no more than thirteen years old. We do not discriminate among our members, so long as everyone is literate, kind and follows the rules. We offer activities including a newspaper and webbie, but no contests or prizes since they're against the rules. If you're interested, please read the guild rules listed below.
Welcome to the application page of The Muddy Traveler. If you are interested in joining, we have a few rules that you must agree to abide by once you are in the guild. Please read the list below and determine if this is the guild for you.
1. You must be literate. No chatspeak allowed (simple things like lol are permissible). We are a literature-themed guild, and bad grammar, spelling and/or punctuation are like nails on the proverbial chalkboard for us.
2. Absolutely NO drama. We do not want fights in the guild, no matter what the topic. If it's a subject banned by Neopets rules, you shouldn't even have to ask if it's okay. We do occasionally have debates in the guild, and that's fine to state your opinion in an educated fashion, but you may not demean someone else for their opinion. You will be warned, and if you persist you will be deleted from the guild.
3. What Neopets says, goes. We follow Neopets' rules in this guild. We do not have contests or prizes, so don't ask. This includes newbie packs, giveaways, raffles, and all the rest.
4. Try not to spam. We all have times when we may forget to say something in one post, so we add a few words in another, or if we're having a conversation we may require only a couple words' reply, but don't just spam for the sake of getting more posts. We don't have a line requirement.
5. If you do not post within the first two weeks and have not been active in the guild at all, you will be deleted without warning. Beyond that, we will only delete members on a case-by-case basis, and there will be a warning neomail sent before anyone is deleted.
6. By reading these rules, if you continue on and apply, you are agreeing to abide by these rules once you are in the guild and will not have the excuse that you didn't know if you broke a rule.
