- General Board Nettiquette
The message board is a place for everyone to have fun, share neo tips and things going on in their life. As such, it needs to keep within the neo TOS and be safe and appropriate for kids to view. As previously mentioned - be kind to each other and please contact purklecouch with neomail if there is an issue with a member that needs
to be resolved.
- Context
Unfortunately, the neo message board does not have a great format - as such, newest messages show up first. This means you can help everyone understand your message more if you included context. A message that reads "Me too!" or "I'm sorry for your loss" will require readers to guess what you are responding to.
- Message Length/Content
Neopets displays 25 messages per page on the board. While trying to catch up on posts, please consider using Notepad or two windows to compose your responses, and consolidate some of your comments into one message. This gives more people a chance to have their message seen, as some people will only read the first page or two of messages when they return. (also all guild announcements are limited to 1 a day as a rule, so again, too many posts will bury them)
- To post? Or neomail?
The message board is for sharing with everyone in the guild. Sometimes it is better to respond to someone's post using neomail. Just click on their name, and scroll down for neomail there you go! Some examples of messages that might be suited for neomail - specific help with shop code, sympathy notes, and anything that is really meant for just one person. With the board as active as it is, some messages on the board will be missed. For example, all the guild accts want you to neomail them with any info or issues, not post on the board.
- Have fun
The board is a great way to get to know guild members better, and for them to get to know you. It's also a great resource for neo news and tips. Please help keep the board functioning smoothly :)
- Guild Board
There are certain words which MUST NOT be used on the guild board as they may imply that the guild is running activities which do not adhere to the Neopets Terms Of Service (TOS). The guild definitely IS NOT running anything which goes against the TOS, but we do not want to put the guild at risk due to any misunderstandings. As there are a large volume of guilds on the site, The Neopets Team (TNT) runs a keyword search progeam which will see certain words and flag the guild. They could then be deleted and the purklecouch account frozen and we would have no more PURKLECOUCH!Words to be careful of using are:
pr1z3 (note: replace 1 with i and 3 with e to see the real word)
c0nt3st (note: replace 0 with o and 3 with e to see the real word)

pr3s3nt Any posts containing such words WILL BE DELETED as soon as they are spotted. We will try to repost them without the offending word, but please note that we may not have the time at the moment to do so. We will also try our best to personally neomail any member personally regarding why their post was deleted, but again, due to time constraints it may not always be possible. - Guild Structure:
Everyone starts as a purkle newbie when they join. You become a purkle person after a month. Guild faeries are guild members who work behind the scenes to help make and keep the guild a fun and active place to be! - Guild Council:
The Council is a set of volunteers who are here to do their best to keep things running smoothly. They make sure events are well organized, try to keep peace on the boards, and deal with other situations which may arise. They try their hardest to balance EVERYONE'S desires, so please be kind to them if they contact you. - Guild Events
Guild members are always welcome to make suggestions to council regarding new ideas for ways to make and keep the guild fun and useful! If you have such an idea please NEOMAIL US at purklecouch. Events must go through a process where ideas are discussed regarding the benefits for the guild and it's members, potential costs are weighed, as well as making sure anything we plan does not go against Neopets TOS. This process does take time, so if you suggest something, please be patient!
