Welcome guest, to Fight for Finesse, a review site by yours truly, Pip! We started a long time ago as Unspoken Words, then we went on a hiatus, and on April, Tell Me Tonight was made. Once again, I left it for a long hiatus, then on August, it was back. Then, Pip didn't have the motivation to continue, and he wanted to be more in-depth, and so Fight for Finesse was made to continue on.

Whoa! *-*! When I walk into Futago, honestly, I really like it. I simply adore the banner, and the whole boxy theme, and whoever steals the idea for the layout, is evil. Honestly, the layout is pretty much Futago's, because I've never seen a layout like this. ^^ Well done!
Layout/CSS: 19/20
I love the layout! It's really easy to navigate, it's very nice and unique! I just think the layout's a bit busy in some way. I notice you got some coding from Kaz, but no points taken off. The only point taken off was for the navigation. I notice between the bottom of the first row, and the top of the second row, I notice that it looks bold. You should move the second row up once more, or somehow try to make it not look like that. I'm not sure, if that's for other browsers, but it is for Chrome.

Love them! I simply adore them. One thing I notice about your icons, are that the brushes and textures go simply together, and match the theme! Your lookups are amazing, and they are just perfect. I just think you could add more categories, though. xD Your resources, are simply something to talk about. I really love them, and how they're transparent, they're very different and they're very Futago like! n.n Lastly, your buttons. I am very jealous, how you make these stunning buttons! Honestly, I can't compete, and my buttons are a fail! xD The only point I took off was that you need more icons in the Cowboy Bebop category, because you have tons for the others, but only 3 for the Cowboy Bebop category. Overall, I just simply love them ALL! n.n

paper thin
First Impressions: 8/10
When I walked into Paper Thin, it felt as if I was on paper really thin. xP! I felt like a cartoon character on a doodle pad. I really love that, but the one and only thing I dislike is the scroll bars in your site. Honestly, I know you're trying to shorten the amount people have to scroll, but it doesn't work for me. I suggest removing the overflow coding.
Layout/CSS: 15/20
It's made by you, and I like that! n.n There are several bits and pieces of coding from KTL's layout, and I have to deduct. It's at least better than a premade or custom. I have to admit, the CSS matches the site's theme and idea about the lined paper, but you can jazz the background with a lined paper background. I think that would be cool! n.n Also, I said in my first impressions about the scroll bars, on the navigation end, which I think you should change to something wider. Well, change the width of the CSS.

You don't have many sites, listed compared to the rival directories, but you are slowly catching up! n.n I like the fact you have recommended sites, but I strongly suggest you really check them out. Some of the sites, deserve to be recommended at Paper Thin. I just think that the ,The is unnecessary, and you can put /the/ in front of the site's name. I see no dead links, and I praise you for that! I suggest to watch out for dead links in the future!

II don't know. Directories seem to be everywhere, and the theme of this site is pretty original, but I'd like to see more creativity splashed on your site. Also, the navigation looks very Soroptimist. I suggest you give some credit. Lastly, now a days, the one columned look is not very original. Try spicing up the site and making it more original.

Only one button? Also, I had difficulty finding the button too. I would like to suggest to make more buttons, and I saw a variety before, now there's only one. Also, I want to see some buttons made by you, and lastly, I would like to suggest to make your link back button a little easier to find.

I love it! Kaz has outdone himself once again! ^^ I really like the layout, and my first impression is wonderful! ^^ I am just breathless!
Layout/CSS: 15/20
My first impression is good, but this really brought you down. I praise you for not having a premades, but you got a custom which is fine. ^^ I just want you to make your own layout! It's really important. Several affies, and several people would want to see stuff made by you. Also, I suggest you add navigation anchors. In Chrome, I notice your site has scrollbars on the first skinny table. It doesn't look very good. Also, in IE your headers go past that boundary for the skinny table to the main table. You tried to code it somewhat, but overall it's a huge mess you need to clean up.

You have a lot of sites listed. It's great that you have recommended sites, and everything BUT you add sites into different categories. I suggest you just add them into one category, because when you count how many sites you have in total, you may count that one same site five times in a row or something. I strongly suggest you change that! Also, just add the word /the/ in front. It would look better. I found several errors in your site. FooManShu, is just spelled Foomanshu, Circus doesn't need the /the/ in it, Midnight Cherry is closed, Tell Me Tonight is now Fight for Finesse. I'd also strongly suggest you look at these sites once more, to see if they would be recommended or not, because I see some sites that deserve to be recommended, but isn't and I see some sites that are recommended, but aren't recommended in my eyes, but this part is optional.

You have an original theme, and a site name, but really it all looks like the normal directory. I suggest somehow you should make your directory more different than other directories.

I notice that there are borders on your buttons. I suggest you fix that immidiantly, it's under the affies section. Next, I told you some stuff about the scroll bars, and the passing headers, that you should fix. Next, I think you should make your scroll BOXES a bit more wider. It would look centered more. I think your site would look better if it was when the text is aligned to the left, in my opinion, that was optional. Lastly, I strongly suggest you get transparent buttons for your affies and listed at's. It all looks very ugly, with this layout. If you had a white background, then people might not notice that problem, also your link colors are very difficult to read. I suggest you fix those flaws.

It's nice you have a variety of different buttons, but I want to see some buttons made by you. I also notice there WAS a button by you, but honestly, it would look better transparent. Try going solid, then try to add like a funky design during the solid buttons. Like what I do at Exhilarating*.
Other Comments: Landslide has got some potential, but honestly, right now it's a mess, but don't worry. If you fix your site from the scrollbars, and some originality, maybe this site could possibly be a rival directory. I wish you luck for the future! ^^

When I walk in your site, it is very 'sugary'. I really like it! I just noticed two things about your layout. First, is that I notice the pink is at least 1px more than the scrollbar! xD Other than that, you have made yourself a fine layout here! ^^

I love the simplicity of the layout. It's very nice and simple. Honestly, I stink at overflow coding. It's very intricate, and you made it all by yourself! Kudos for that! The only thing about your layout was that the layout doesn't work in Opera, which is a shame, because I would think people in Opera would LOVE to see your content.

I love all the premades! They're all designed amazingly in their own way! The only thing, I have to deduct marks for is that on the userlookups, the star. In older versions of Firefox, your stars on the userlookups don't work! D: Other than that, you make awesome premades! ^^

Honestly, your site is original. I really think premades aren't very original, but this site really changes my opinion. The only that isn't original IS the name. I don't think you should change it. I really like the name, and it suits it, but it just doesn't sound very original.

Honestly, I am very pleased. I remember reviewing your site back when you were "Gold_Nasar Directory". When I walk in I feel like it's very rainbow. I like it! ^^ There are several issues. First, I notice that your banner. Honestly, I think you should put padding. Also, nothing really was by YOU! There was only one button made by you, but the layout, banners, and buttons were pretty much requested. I'd like to see more stuff by YOU!

I can't stand premade layouts! Though it's the most different site layouts. It's a three-columned layout. I also like how the colors blend all together and it's very pretty. What I dislike about this layout is that it's premade. xD Also, I notice that the main table is very long, while the other two are at least a third, or half of the main table. It looks very ugly, and that's a disadvantage of having a three column layout. I appraise your effort to make it work though! ^^

When I walk into Somersault, it was very jungle! I love the Amazon, and this really shows it, through my perspective! ^^ I love this layout, but I should point this out. You should /div class/ your banner to the very top, and then there would be no black bar, but again, if it looks nice then do it! ^^ This is just optional!

Honestly, I've seen this layout a bunch of times. It's a one columned layout with a banner. It's simply boring! I suggest somehow being different with your layout, like what you have at Gamer*! Even though it's one columned, it looks different from the others. What I love about the layout is that, the colors match that is simply wonderful! ^^

The content that overall amuses me, and I actually like are the banners, icons, and premade css. The banners and icons are special in their own way, and I love that! The one thing you should do for your resources is to make them transparent. Now a day, people are using backgrounds that aren't white, and your resources wouldn't really work. When I walk into Bouton, it feels as if it's raining. I really like the theme, and the name is original. It's button in French! ^^ I notice the blues in the banner don't really match up the site's background. I concentrate more on the banner than the background. That's it. I suggest, you go on GIMP or Paint and just change the dots' colors to try and match the banner more. I notice the navigation IS a bit too small. Could you make it wider more?

Its simplicity is nice. I really enjoy that! It's just that your coding is a bit from Sra, Rebecca. I just dislike that part. You made the layout, which is excellent, but on IE there's scrolls everywhere. It scrolls side to side, and up and down. Then, on Chrome, it looks fine.

Your content is improving! I really like that, and you can see it by just looking at them! I am impressed Junior~! One thing, for the future, doesn't over do by using the same font all the time. I noticed that twice. It's when you used the block text, and your current text. Try to use variety of fonts, and possibly give the visitors font choice, and one more thing, I notice when you use those neopets' item and you slap them on a button, I notice there are several white dots on them, and they don't look pretty. It's either outline the whole thing in white, or coloring them in orange. Button contest idea is great, but everyone's pretty much got them now a days.

When I walk in to Soroptimist, the first thing I think of is a cruise get-away! Honestly, I love it. It's nice, and it's very beautiful. The layout is very simple, yet elegant, and I simply adore you for that! All, I notice is on the banner. In my opinion, the text feels really skinny. I love the choice, but you could possibly make it somewhat bigger, to stand out, a bit more.

Your site is very organized and it's very neatly done! Your counters aren't working, but everybody else's isn't working either so, I can't really take off points for that! I just noticed one thing. You can position that banner up more, and use this code to remove the yellow bar of the neopets credits, THEN you can code the banner to go further up, and there's going to be no neopets bar. It's a bit distracting.

Just use my advice and make sure Soroptimist keeps on going up on the directories, because you have a long lead against other directories on Neopets.
