Welcome to Quillneo! We are a non-themed, adults-only Guild run by Ashley and Izzy. We have a bunch of activities, active members and a good sense of, um, sanity!
Quillneo evolved from a previous Harry Potter guild that Ashley founded back in 2004. After the release of the seventh book, the current Council decided to move the Guild into a more generally themed direction :) It cost us quite a few members and there was definately some controversy on our boards for a while after - but in the end, we like what the Guild has become. We are a generally tight-knit group of friends within the guild, but that doesn't mean we don't like new blood every once in a while ;)
The Guild has a range of activities and services for members, from Spotlights to scavenger hunts to low-collat item and pet lending. No matter what your tastes on Neopets, I'm sure you'll find *something* to catch your fancy here! One of the joys of being themeless lol The only thing you won't find is a shop asking for your hard-earned Neopoints, or prizes being offered for activites. We're sorry if thats what you like in your guilds but we prefer to know we're keeping up with TNT's rules.

Well, first and foremost - welcome to Quillneo! We're very happy to find new members and we all love to meet new people :) This guild was created from a previously active Harry Potter-themed guild run by Ashley and Izzy.
Our aim is to create a fun and friendly place where you can go to relax and enjoy yourself. We have a ton of activities, including a Member of the Month competition and other spotlights, detailed avatar solutions, and much more!
Quillneo has five non-Council ranks for members to obtain. These are achieved by posting on the Guild's message board and by being active in the Guild.
The five ranks are:

Aspiring
Notable
Royalty
Magical
If you have reached the required post count, and think you are active within the Guild, but we haven't upped your rank yet, neomail Ashley. Sometimes we forget *hides*
Our Memeber of the Month competition is based on members obtaining points we call Quills. Each guild activity awards a certain number of Quills and at the end of the month, the member with the most Quills wins Member of the Month! Quills are what we call the Guild's point system - the more you participate in activities, and such, the more points (Quills) you earn.
Member of the Month comes with a few perks too ;)
Please note that TNT won't let Guilds give away Neopoints or items as prizes for activities. That is why we've come up with the Quills system :) We hope that it lets you gain something for your participation in the Guild, without getting us in trouble!
Well thats about it :D If you have any questions or queries don't hesitate to contact any of the Guild's council! We're always happy to help out when we can.
To try and keep the Guild running smoothly, we do have a couple of rules. Most of these are just common sense, but unfortunately - they still have to be stated ;)
Remember, you must also follow all of Neopets' own rules when posting in the Guild as well.
If you break any of these rules, we will send you a neomail and let you know that what you've done is inappropriate. Depending on the severity of what you did, you may be fined some Quills too. We hope that once you know that what you're doing isn't tolerated, you will stop but if the behaviour continues you may be asked to leave the Guild :(
Want to show your support for Quillneo? Put one of our spiffy banners on your userlookup or in your shop! All these banners were made by Guild members for other to use :)
You can also submit your own banners for other Guild members to use! When your banner is first placed here, you will be awarded a variable amount of Quills depending on the quality of your banner.
First, you'll want to put the banners onto one of your pet's pages, and then neomail id_24 to tell her which page they're on. Here's how to put the banners onto your petpages:

We don't really have "requirements" as such for new members. The Guild is adults-only but we can be kinda relaxed about this if you think you'll still be able to relate to the other members - nothing is set in stone! No chatspeakers though, m'kay? It gives us headaches D:
If you would like to join, please mail either Ashley or Izzy with your preferred name, and a sentence or two about why you want to join our Guild. If an existing member referred you to the Guild, it'd be great if you could give us their username too as they'll be rewarded with some Quills (Guild points) for doing so :) Depending on how we feel at the time, we might chat with you a bit first or just send you an invite so you can take a look around!

This activity is for all the gamers out there. Here you are challenged by four famous Neopians to best their high scores in different games! Each month the challenges will be issued by various Neopians - some will be easy, others seemingly impossible. To complete a challenge simply score over the required level, making sure that you've sent your score and it is showing up in your Neopets highscores, and then neomail id_24 to let her know.
You can take on as many or as few of the challenges as you like, however if you take on all four and beat them you will also be awared a bonus of 50 Quills, in addition to the rewards for each individual challenge won!
And onto the challenges for the month!
Challenger 1: Katsuo
You'd think what with all the practice he gets, Katsuo would be pretty good at this game, right? Practice makes perfect and all that... Do you think you're good enough to best his score of 250 points in Top Chop? Difficulty: EASY

Challenger 2: Earth Faerie
The Earth Faerie is either playing Faerie Cloud Racers II or setting worthless quests for unsuspecting pets. She tells everyone she is unstoppable in FCR. Can you prove her wrong by beating her score of 300 points? Difficulty: MEDIUM

Challenger 3: Woogy and Jimmi
Woogy and Jimmi star in Hasee Bounce. Together they try and grab as many doughnutfruits as possible. Do you have what it takes to beat their score of 125 points? Difficulty: MEDIUM

Challenger 4: Dieter
Dieter the Polarchuck is known for munching on too much snow. He has his secret ways for avoiding bloating in Snowmuncher. Can you beat his score of 4,000 points? Difficulty: HARD

This is the Guild's version of the Neopets Caption Contest :) Every couple of weeks, we will change the image below and allow you all to submit your own witty captions for it! At the end of each month, the council will vote for their favourites and the winners will get 50 Quills each.
To enter your caption, simply click the link below and mail your entry to Izzy! You may enter more than one caption per competition if you wish.
Submissions close: October 1st.
Is your Neopet spiffier than the rest? The enter them into the Guild's Pet Spotlight! For each competition, we will chose a theme. The idea is that you will customise your pet in keeping with the theme!
At the end of each month, the Guild council will vote on a winner and that pet will be displayed on the guild homepage for the next month. The owner of the winning pet will also receive 100 Quills :) Two runner-up pets and their owners will also be awarded 40 Quills.
To enter your Neopet, use the Send Your Neopet function. Select the pet you wish to enter and send them by Neomail to id_24. Once she gets the Neomail she will record your entry and let you know that its been received.
You may enter each of your pets, but please only submit them each once per month. If you want to enter pets from a side account then you will also need to send Izzy an additional Neomail from your main account to let her know its you :P
Current Theme: Autumn Leaves
Since the change to an adults-only Quillneo, our member count has taken quite a dive! We've decided to run a small referral program while we build up our numbers again ^_^
There are two ways you can earn Quills when you refer people to the Guild. Firstly, get them to mention your username when they mail for an invite! Every user you can get to mention your username when they join will earn you 40 Quills. The other way you can earn Quills is to be caught advertising the Guild by a Council member - either actively on the Neoboards, or via links on your lookup or shop. These bonus Quills will vary depending on how the member of Council feels when they see you :P
At the end of each month, the user who has referred the most new members to us will have their name displayed on the layout along with the MotM and other Spotlight winners!
