you say aloud as you read the old wooden sign outside the establishment's front door. The small print below boasts of unique and individual evaluations for sites of all kinds. You walk into the small reception room and approach the front desk.
The woman sitting behind it looks up as you walk in, we've been expecting you, guest, she says. She stands to shake your hand and prompts you to disclose the details of your visit. You proceed to tell her all about the site you've so carefully raised and go on to explain that you think it's time your baby left home and got a taste of the real world. Her face crinkles into what you hope is a smile and she assures you that you've made the right choice. The experiences your site will have here will be for the better, she says. You'll be in good hands at Bit and Bridle.
The woman polietly asks that you to wait as she rifles through some papers. You take this time to look around the room and notice a carousel horse in the corner. Jagged wood protrudes from where its hind leg would have been, the once vibrant paint is chipped and worn, but its glass eyes stare back at you, timeless. You decide not to think about it. The woman clears her throat and you turn just as she hands your some forms. She urges you to explore the campus before making your decision, the best way to learn about our program is experience it firsthand, she tells you. You look down at the papers for the first time and a small note paper-cliped to the stack of forms catches your eye, it reads:

RIDING CONDITIONS

You exit the lobby through a small door to the left of the front desk and find yourself in a peculiar room. It's much smaller than the room you just came from and has a door both to your left and to your right. On the large wall ahead of you, a list of rules is painted directly on the wood. They read:

THE CAROUSEL

You enter a large room with ceilings that extend far beyond your stature. In the center of the room is a large carousel, populated with many strange animals. Zany circus music loops in the background as you inspect the carousel's inhabitants. There are wild horses, oversized rabbits, deer and elk of all varieties, unicorns, capricorns and even some creatures you've never seen before, each with a brightly painted saddle and a twisted brass pole. They all rise and fall with the music in such a harmonious manner that, for a moment, you forget why you've come.
A voice from behind the carousel shakes you from your thoughts. Beautiful, aren't they? the man says. Illuminated only by the incandescent lights of the roundabout, you can barely make out the outline of his face. They're all unique. No two are alike, he says, as he slows the herd from its control box. Each one's qualities are listed on their back, feel free to inspect them all individually. When you make your choice, please be sure that it is unoccupied. The carousel comes to a stop and you hesitantly step onto the platform next to a vibrantly painted horse and begin the search for the mount best suited for you.

The rabbit's eyes are as large as dinner plates and they entice you to approach. His broad back and shoulders could carry many people, you conclude, maybe even an entire guild. You decide to check his tag to see if your assumptions were correct.
