Kaunalii.....

Slowly but surely he wakes, eyes blinking rapidly."We're here. This is where they told us to wait and watch." I say, almost whispering the last part. I gently plop him down on the cool grass and we lie on our backs looking at the sky. My eyes scan the sky furiously, searching for anything, a bit of color, a flash of movement. Suddenly everything goes dark and I feel soft, cold hands on my eyes. "You are looking for me?" a smooth voice says. Its more of a statement than a question. "Y-yes" I stammer quickly. "I'll consider talking to you if you can find me..." she whispers in my ear. Then like a rocket, a burst of air hits me and she flies into the sky. I glimpse her shooting into the sky, but I loose her after she flies under the cover of a large fluffy cloud. "Kaunalii! Look for her!" I shout. We both scan the sky for any speck of pink but find none. After several hours of listening to Kaunalii complain, I accept defeat and start to trudge home.
Halfway home I feel a tap on my shoulder. I spin around and gasp at the sight before me. "Done playing so soon?" she says with a laugh. I feel a blush rising in my cheeks and start to stammer something out when she interrupts. "Most people don't stay that long," she says. "They give up after 5 minutes. I like your determination." My blush deepens and I search for words to say. "You don't have to say anything," she says, as if she read my mind. "I suppose I can take a couple hours off my busy schedule to chat with you a bit." A huge smile comes across my face as we continue to walk home, talking the entire time about what's to come.

About Me (off Neo):


On neo most people call me Carrot, but my real name is Carlyn. You can call me either. Off neo I'm basically a regular 14-year old girl. I'm in the ninth grade, and can't WAIT until summer. When I'm not at school or sleeping (I like to do that too. ^_^) I'm usually at crew practice (basically rowing a long boat) or doing enormous stacks of homework. The occasional few seconds I have to spare I like to spend outside being active or hanging out with friends. I'm also really interested in art, but I do mostly paintings. And of course neo is a hobby of mine. :]

On neo mostly everyone calls me Carrot. This originated from my account name, wrongsideofthecarrot. On neo I spend most of my time collecting avatars. Now you might be thinking "OMG! AVATAR COLLECTOR ALERT! SHE WANTS HER FOR THE AVATAR! -BEEP BEEP OVERLOAD-" But just cool down there Camille, it's all going to be ok. Because I already have the avatar!

Yea so anyway, you can rest easy that Fenzia is not going to some avatar hungry, crazed collector. Well...

Let's not get into that right now though! Besides avatar collecting I like to lurk on the boards waiting for my prey. (haha jk) No, usually I just chat around on the AC, or if I'm feeling REALLY adventurous I'll make my way over to the BDC and get flamed by ACer hating BDCers. Ahh, such a friendly world, huh? :]

I have a couple accounts. My main one, wrongsideofthecarrot I made over the summer to escape boredom, and I got hooked ever since. My side account, carrotz5 was made when I was in 3rd grade or something, but recently it got hacked so I can no longer use it. Tomatopotato250 is my 3rd account. I made it maybe in 7th grade but I don't use it much, except for storing avatar pets. Othersideofthecarrot is another side account I made and it just finished aging. My newest side is ridiiculous. It's currently holding Kaunalii, but as soon as the pound opens, she will be going on my main. I've never been frozen before, and the worst suspension I've ever gotten was for 1 day or something, and I don't even remember what it was for because it was so long ago. I make sure I follow the rules, as I don't want anything to happen to my pets.

Why Fenzia?


1. Fenzia is a draik. Ever since I came on neo, approximately 5 years ago, I loved draiks. However I wasn't exactaly the richest newbie around. In fact you could go as far to say I was a noob. Yes a poor noob, the ones who couldn't seem to hang on to any money, even if it slapped them in the face. Everyday I would surf around neopia, staring with longing at the beautiful draiks and the lucky owners who possessed them. They reminded me of the fierce dragons in fairy tales that made me stare with awe. Even now I love draiks. I also think they have a lot more potential than other pets for personalities and stories. They're not defined to one thing, and thats what I like about them.

2. REDRAWN BABY DRAIKS=ADORABLE. Haha before I would have never thought of owning one. They're heads were just too big for my taste. I'd have to say the baby draiks were the most improved through the re-draw! TNT didn't find a way to mess this one up! :]

3. Her name. When I think of the name Fenzia, a magical, mysterious creature comes to mind. Not one that is perfect in every way. Fenzia has her faults too, she has a temper and she's quick to want revenge, but her good qualities out number her bad ones. Fenzia also just has a nice natural roll to it, its a very beautiful name. Good job on that Camille! xD

4. Her personality. When I first was thinking about applying I was brainstorming ideas for her personality. Anyway, it took me a couple days but when it finally came to me, I fell in love with it immediately. It would make me terribly sad to see such a wonderful personality go to waste, but you will learn more about that later. ;)

Plans:

Drumroll please! Hey Camille, hang in there, we're just getting to the good stuff! Here are my plans for Fenzia if I am chosen as her owner.

1. Personality. The first thing I plan to do with Fenzia is perfect her personality and design. But I'll talk more about this later.

2.Petpage/Look-up. Fenzia will be recieving both of these in the near future. Her petpage will contain her story, a little about her, and her likes/dislikes and anything else she wants to add. I'm currently working on a petpage for Kaunalii, but all I have so far is the very first part of the intro and the layout. You can see it here though. I'm also useless at CSS (especially now with the new layout) so for now, Fenzia's lookup will be pretty basic. But I'll work on it.

3.Petpet. Fenzia will also be gifted with a petpet that will fit in with her story. However that is also in a section to come.

4.Beauty Contest. I personally LOVE to draw, especially my pets. I've entered the beauty contest three times (I'm not a regular, it just gets too tiring sometimes) and every time I've entered I've won first in species. Therefore I am fairly certain I can manage to win Fenzia a trophy of sorts.

Note: one thing I promise you Camille, I will NEVER, EVER lend Fenzia to ANYONE for ANY purpose. Not for the avatar, not for anything. I would not risk losing her, no matter what.

Why Me?

Camille you might be thinking "Why should I pick Carrot out of all the other applicants?" Well first of all I hope my application is proof of how far I will go and how hard I will work for Fenzia. But besides my application I think there are a couple other reasons why I would be the best choice for Fenzia. One of the main reasons I think is because I work hard and don't give up. For instance, when I became an avatar collector my goal was to get 300. I'm well on my way there (267) and have quite more than most avatar collectors. I worked hard for each and every one of those avatars and eventually I think I could get 300. I also think I would be a good choice for Fenzia because I wouldn't let her just rot on my account as a "trophy" pet. I have many plans for Fenzia as you can see above, and I don't want her for just the status of owning a draik. But thats enough about me, lets move on to the interesting stuff. :)

Fenzia's Personality/Design:

This might be a looong section, so feel free to take a break before reading this Camille. :] Anyway, this is probably my favorite part of applications. I'm so excited I don't even know where to begin. I guess I will just give a short summary, then go into more detail.

Fenzia is one of the few, the rare, the proud, the sky dragons. She is one of the last of her kind, and has never met another of her kind, except for the distant memories of her mother and sisters. Sky dragons are all female, the males stay on land and they rarely meet except to mate. Back in ancient times they were fierce dragon warriors and used the sky's protection to their advantage.

Name: Fenzia Lakaror
Nickname: Was called Fen by her mother
Age: approx. 240 years (which is young for a sky dragon)
Gender: Female
Species: Draik
Location: The sky
Special Characteristics: Has no wings. Long tail, markings on head and neck.
Personality: Fenzia's personality changes with the weather. Because she spends almost all her time in the sky, it began to effect her mood depending on the kind of weather. Therefore Fenzia has 3 different personalities.

Sunshine
Eyes: deep crimson
Coloring: Light pink with blue ears and markings on face and neck.
Disposition: Light, cheerful, playful.
Markings: Blue swirls on one side of her face and neck. Three dots on her forehead and tail. Represents her tribe.

Cloud
Eyes: Anywhere ranging from light grey to almost black. Has dark blue specks in them.
Coloring: Light blue/green with darker blues for ears and markings.
Disposition: Calm, sad, mournful, pessimistic.
Markings: X's under her eyes, representing the tears shed during this time. Three dots on forehead remain constant.

Storm
Eyes: Golden color with red specks.
Coloring: Dark crimson with dark blue ears and markings.
Disposition: extreme, angry, rebellious, radical.
Markings: This was the warrior side of the sky dragons. Slashes on face represent war and battle. Three dots on forehead still remain.

The storm part of Fenzia represents her anger toward anyone who has ever done her wrong. The vengeful side of her comes out, and sometimes its hard for her to control. Many people think that Fenzia hates storms because it causes her fierce side of her to come out, however this is just the opposite. Fenzia welcomes storms as a way to express those feelings of hate and anger. If you keep your emotions bottled up, then you will only be hurting yourself. Fenzia realizes this and tries not to by releasing them into storms.

Her Story:

She awoke with a start. Her heart beating wildly, and drops of sweat rolling down her forehead she frantically searched for the unseen danger. She sat upright and tried to slow her beating heart. Suddenly a flash of light and a loud CRAACK shook the earth and Fenzia cried out in pain. "Oh god. Not now. Please not now," she pleaded with tears rolling down her face. She felt her body heating up, her pupils growing larger, the pain surging through her. Something within her pulled her up and made her spring out into the storm.

She felt trapped inside herself. Under the layers of hatred and fury there lied the real Fenzia. The one that didn't want this fate, the one that didn't want the pain. But that Fenzia was buried to deep now. As she sped dangerously fast through the storm clouds she thought back to that day. The day that started it all.

It was a day like any other. Fenzia had recently learned how to fly. She never quite believed that one could do it without wings, but her mother always told her, "Just believe Fen. Just believe." Now she zipped through the clouds just as fast as any of the other sky dragons. As she raced home with her two older sisters in tow they were met by their very frantic mother. Fear shone brightly in her eyes and her voice shook. "You must leave now!" she said with a sense of urgency. Before the three sisters could protest she continued "Kia, Jaquiline, Take Fen up to the mountains and stay there until I can meet you there!" Jaquiline, the oldest stepped forward, "No mother, I want to stay, to fight." She somehow seemed to know what was happening. Their mother frowned, but Fenzia could see the hint of pride in her eyes. "Fine then, Kia take Fen to the mountains and wait for us, we'll come for you later!" Fen looked up at her older sister with confusion but Kia just grabbed her hand and headed off as if she had expected it to happen.

Around an hour later they arrived at the mountainside. "We must fly to the top Fen, there is a cave up there we can stay in." Kia called to her. The cave was dark and had a musky smell to it. Fenzia settled down next to her older sister, her head laying on the warm skin of her leg and she slept.

She woke several hours later. She groggily lifted herself up and rubbed her eyes only to find an empty cave. "Kia?" she whispered. "Kia?" The only reply was the soft dripping of water. Fenzia rose to her feet and flew out of the cave in a frantic search. But the sight below her stopped her in midair. Below was a large battle, she could see her own people with blood stains and weapons fiercly battling their enemies, the earth dragons. Her eyes scanned the masses as she searched for her sister and mother. Finally she spotted her mother battling an earth dragon. Her mother overthrew the earth dragon and moved on in the battle. Then Fenzia caught a glimpse of her sister, Kia. She felt a sigh of relief leave her lips before the horror took place. Suddenly out of no where Kia thrust a long silver blade into her own mother's back as her mother sank to her knees and then to the floor. Fenzia hovered in the air for a second while dumbfounded by the event. "Mother...dead? Killed by Kia? No...this must be a dream.." and these were her last thoughts before plummeting to the ground.

She woke to a blast of sunshine in her eyes. She tried to sit up, but her head throbbed painfully and so she laid down again. Her thoughts went back to last nights events. Kia had betrayed her, her family, and even her entire tribe. She had turned on her people to join their enemies. Fenzia felt such a rage build in her, almost too much to contain. She jumped to her feet, the pain in her head sliding to the back of her thoughts. Minutes later she found herself at the scene of the battle. Bodies lay everywhere with knives and swords and the stench of blood was almost overwhelming. Fenzia carefully flew over the bodies, searching for one specific one. Kneeling down next to her mother she cried tears of grief, pain and rage. Finally she lifted herself up and continued to look for the body of her older sister, Jaquiline. She was not far from her mother, her eyes glazed over staring at the sky with the gaze of death. This time Fenzia did not cry. She stood up tall, felt the rage building in her and set off. Off to find her sister.

Fenzia spent all her time in the sky. She rarely stopped flying, never stopped searching. She fell all day and she fell all night, searching for the one person who had hurt her the most. Years went by and she still found no trace of her sister. By then she had begun to develop personalities that matched the weather. If it was cloudy the grief swelled inside her and she thought of how she missed her family. If it was sunny she thought back to the good times, memories of love and warmth from her mother and sisters. If it stormed the rage returned and she felt out of control. Eventually Fenzia gave up. It wasn't all of a sudden, but eventually her travels were more about learning new things than searching.

Fenzia snapped from her daydream and found herself still speeding through the sky, lightning flashing around her, the pounding of thunder in her ear. She still felt the rage inside her, but could also sense a change. Something was different. She knew that it was all going to be ok.

Petpet:

This is Yuki, the seti. Fenzia found him during a storm, whimpering under a tree. He was born blind and the thunder frightened him. Fenzia put aside her rage and anger for the moment to help him and because of that he will forever be loyal to her. However, he only comes to Fenzia during storms, to help her control her emotions. No one knows where he goes the rest of the time, but no matter where she is, or how bad it is, Yuki will always find Fenzia to help her.

This is Kallon. He's a very fluffy cirrus. Fenzia found him while floating among the clouds one day. Suddenly someone shouted "BOO!" and she clumsily fell a couple feet before catching herself. The little cloud raced away, but Fenzia's speed was no match for the little cloud's. She caught him almost instantly and gave him a harsh chiding before inviting him to join her on her travels. They've traveled together ever since. However, just like Yuki, he disappears when the weather is not in his favor. During storms Kallon runs for safety before he is swept up by the huge storm clouds.

Meet the Family:

Hey Camille, before you read this section there are a few things I should note to you. Because of the pound being down, not all of these pets are currently on my main. I recently put some pets UFA, and I have found new homes for them, but since the pound is down I cannot transfer them to their new owners. But the pets I mention below (and hopefully Fenzia) will be the pets that are on my main account once I can transfer the others. Alright, on to the pets! :]

This is my little peawiinkle. Peawiinkle was painted by the Fountain Faerie a month or two ago. The item was a Jazzmosis Biography, which at the time sold for 1.5 mil on the TP. Luckily I found a way to haggle them down to a mere 800k. xD Then I took her to the Fountain Faerie and ever since, she has been pea.
Peawiinkle has a fierce personality for such a tiny pea. She'll take on any challenger, even if they are 5 feet taller than her. Peawiinkle also has a thing for the sciences. She likes chemistry and its not unusual to hear and explosion coming from her room. She also loves astronomy and will never cease to tell you how she wants to be the first neopet in space. Unfortunatly grundos are the first neopets in space, but don't tell her that! (shh!) If Fenzia joined the family I'm sure peawiinkle would be delighted. She would probably spend hours examining her, then demand a ride to space. She'll be depressed for a while after learning Fenzia is a sky dragon not a space one!

This is Kaunalii. She currently resides on my side account, ridiiculous. Ever since I joined neo and saw the little plushie bori avatar I've always wanted one. Then one day on the Trading Post boards someone was selling one, so I bought it and promptly painted her. As soon as the pound re-opens I will be transferring Kaunalii onto my main.
Kaunalii is a depressing plushie. She's a bit of a pessimist, and I'm sure if you asked her she'd say the glass is half empty. However she's very protective of peawiinkle and when Peawiinkle goes trailing off into the woods she'll follow closely behind, keeping an eye on her. She's also very shy, but once you earn her trust she opens right up. I'm sure if Fenzia joins the family, Kaunalii would be a good friend to her when its cloudy and depressing outside.

This is Panakakas my snow yurble. He was my first pet on this account and one of my favorites. I saved up the 500k for the paint brush and painted him myself after only 2 months on neo. Then one day I was lending him to my good friend for the avatar and I lost him. (From that point on I never lent one of my main pets again) Someone's side account got him but refused to give him back. After a month I had given up hope, but still occasionally checked to see if he had a new owner. Then one day, almost 6 months later he did. I immediately neomailed the new owner and they agreed to return him! I was so happy. He currently resides on a side, and he is currently a girl (run in with the lab map) but when he is transferred back to my main, I will make sure his gender is back to its proper place! xD
Because Panakakas has recently returned to me I don't have much of a personality for him yet. Back when I created him I didn't give my pets personalities, so I still have to come up with a good one for Panakakas. I also plan to paint him royal (I saw them yesterday and I fell in love!) so I'll have to save up a bit.

If you choose me as Fenzia's new owner you can rest assured she will be safely transferred to me. As an avatar collector I have had LOTS of experience in the QAL and the pound. I've been lent every single avatar pet and petpets so I've had plenty of practice. I do know the QAL and I've never missed a pet before. (See! Being an avatar collector is useful sometimes. xD)I don't have a long formulated list, but I can tell you I've transferred at least 50 pets with no problem. :)
