Shootout Showdown Guide

Here is a guide on how to play Shootout Showdown.
This was made for KI players, but any team is welcome to use it.

I will be showing two of the best strategies. The other strategies are not accurate.

The Basics and Controls

In this game you're stuck in a shootout with the gingivitis infested Jelly World (practice team) goalkeeper. The point of the game is to get as many Yooyu's past the goalkeeper as fast as you can. Sounds easy right?

The controls used in the game are the right & left arrow keys and the space bar. The right & left arrow keys move the Yooyu left and right. The spacebar shoots the Yooyu and adjusts the power bar. The longer you hold in the space bar, the higher/lower the power gets. Kicking the Yooyu when the power is higher gives you a better chance of making it past the goal keeper.

Here is a diagram of the game:

Scoring System

The maximum score you can get it 1200 points.

-Each goal you make is worth 35 points (total of 175).
-Every second you have left after the game is worth 14 points.
-If you don't miss any goals there will be a 300 point bonus.
-If you miss 1 to 5 goal there will be a 100 point bonus.
-If you miss 6 or more goals there will be a 0 point bonus.

Strategy 1

This strategy is by far the fastest and easiest way to play Shootout Showdown. This strategy will, however, take a fair amount of practice to perfect (around 10-15 minutes).

This strategy is all about keeping your eye on the goalie.
As soon as you see the goalie in the very right corner of the goal, shoot the yooyu straight (the power does not matter). If done correctly, you should never miss a goal.
With a bit of practice, getting a score of 1200 should be very easy to achieve.

Here is a diagram to help you out with the method posted above:

Strategy 2

This strategy is considered the "original strategy", but strategy 1 is easier and faster, once you get the hang of it.

Move your yooyu either to the left or right stopping at the edge of the goal post. Then shoot the ball straight. The ball should make it in nearly every time. You will have to do this very fast in order to get the 1200 points.

Now that you know the strategies, get out there and play!
