WHYWHYWHY?

Ok. I'm closing Pulse. Why? A huge lack of time. My mom hates the way how I slave away making things without getting paid. I can live with that.

But the thing that's really set this thing in motion is how much people are into ranking. This is neopets. This a website for kids. That means there's no politics. I'm not harping on rankings; really, I like them rather, they're a nice prize and it feels good to be ranked.

But seriously, spreading trash about other people and their sites, making other accounts and neomailing Cass to rank your site, or to unrank someone who you're not friends with?

I know at least 10 people who've done this, and 10 others who've even gone so far as to bribing people to cause huge mess-ups with their rival's sites. I'm not sure why being ranked is such a big deal to people; it's not gonna help you in real life or anything.

And that's why I'm closing Pulse. I reeled in a few contacts and I saw people trying to spread trash about me on the neoboards to get ranked at Echelon. Seriously guys? I worked hard to get that spot. You wanna get ranked, you can go and work too.

Trust me, Pulse was wicked fun while it lasted. I enjoyed making new friends, and the satisfaction that you get when someone uses your buttons is immense. I'm sorry I had to rant like this, but I felt it should be told.

What next?

I'm deciding to start afresh. Site making has become too much of a part of me in order for me to ditch it completely. So what I'm doing is this:

Adopting out all of my pets, and then changing the blocked of this account to something I can't remember. I'll then make a new account and let it mature for four months, in order for it to get the full benefits of neo. During that time, I'll be taking a neo-hiatus. When I come back I'll have a new name, a new everything.
