♫ The Land of Cylic
First Impression: 7/10 When I first heard the name of the guild, it sounded very interesting. Right away you could tell it was going to be fantasy role play of some sort, and yet it didn't just come out and tell you. The first glimpse I caught of the guild was not as good though. The picture used in the layout was much too complicated, and the colors weren't very appealing either. I actually had to highlight the words on the front page to read them. The welcome message was basic, but it did not tell the literacy level of the guild, so I couldn't tell.
Content: 17/35 For role play guilds, I only really expect a webbie. Maybe a character page or plot page, if that was necessary. But this guild had the works. Not only was there a webbie and character/plot page, but there was also a team page. In other genres of guilds, I would like to see this, but in this case it just kind of distracted members from the real focus of the guild: role playing. Although I commemorate them for trying, the team thing wouldn't really help much. As for the webbie, the information was unorganized and unprofessional. It could definitely be revised and edited. Other than that, it gave the basic information needed, and the ranks are reasonable enough. Another thing I would like to see, though, is a few more rules to keep things under wraps. For instance, how literate should members be? Do they have to use ooc and bic? Lastly, you claim to have made up Minks. True, the minks you are referring to are of your imagination, but in there real world there is a real life mink. Just reading the second sentence, readers could get confused and think you're talking about the little weasel thing.
Layouts: 10/20 Half of the layouts were premade, and the ones that weren't didn't have the best quality either. The guild layout had the same complicated image repeating over and over again, along with hard to read text and a clashing background color. The other layout that wasn't premade, was the team page layout. It was better, but it covered up the referral banner and there was a white part around the petpets, indicating that they weren't cut out well. The premades you chose worked, but the character page got a little confusing because of the layout. Having each character in such a little column did not give the members freedom at all with their characters.
Members: 20/35 When I joined, there were only three other members. I went to the board, and introduced myself as Maddie. I had to wait several hours for a response, but I had posted very early in the morning so I can't really blame anyone. The only person who welcomed me was the leader, Brooke, and she seemed pretty nice. The other members said nothing to me. There wasn't a hello or a welcome, and they didn't even introduce themselves. It was as if they were ignoring me. I only posted once, so maybe they didn't see the post, but they still should have read over everything. In order to give a good review, I took a look at other posts. there were no fights, and everyone seemed to get along. By the end of the day, they had a new member, so I should give them points for that. When role play started, not everyone used ooc and that got confusing. Overall, I'd like to see friendlier members.
Extra: 5/5 Although you didn't have many members, you never stopped trying. Full points for perseverance! =3
That brings us to a total of 59 points, 59%. Although there is definite room for improvement, the guild has potential and shouldn't be given up on!
