Osterasy, Dark Destroyer

You're currently listening to Tsugaru, the beat of the song fits Ras's personality, I think. If it bores you or you don't like it, then just press 'Esc' to make it stop. Thanks to Desired Mist for the music code!

Two chairs lie before me,
But only one can be to my name.
One is by power, one is by blood,
And I know which one to claim.
For I choose the chair my mother sought
The chair for which she died and fought
And no demon, devil or other thing
Can take the pain from remembering.
- Poem by Raile -

His Companion

Turghaeeth: Every Destroyer has a guardian, a spiritual guide in the form of a small draconic pet. They represent the Destroyer, the great three-headed dragon that created and guides all Destroyers, and rules over them, watching with it's 18 eyes. These pets are actually spirits of desceased Destroyers, who are bound to help the live ones in their missions and training. Turghaeeth is Osterasy's guardian. A niptor who follows the xweetok wherever he goes. He shares the ability to hide in shadows, so he may follow his charge and hide if the need arises. He is brown-colored, with dark red stripes an yellow eyes.

About Osterasy

Ras, as he preferrs to be called is a sardonic, cheeky fellow who has yet to mature. He is a prankster and a smart-alek who enjoys making others angry. He is quick to anger as well, and loves getting into fights. One of his favorite hobbies is to make up different nicknames for people, he never uses the ones they prefer.

Despite this, he can get dead-serious in battle or when on a mission. He has quite the large resevoire of power but no discipline to truly use it, except for the occasional fluke. This is the reason he has not yet mastered the Elite rank of Destroyer, and he is far from ever achieving Megas... for now.

All this has made it so he has yet to be accepted as the Dark Member of the Destroyer Council, position that is empty for lack of a better person. Ras lacks in maturity and is too young to be given the position, despite having the bloodline to take it. His goal is to become Council Member, and it's what keeps him training and trying to improve.

If you can keep up with his ironic jokes, or head him off with his loud mouth, he's a pretty friendly guy, who strongly believes in companionship and teamwork. Basically he just needs someone to stop his loud mouth and put him in his place. Quite a few council members can do this, and he 'hates' them for it, but secretly has great respect for them as people he looks up to.

Of all the council members, Aditeya is the one he looks up to the most. She is the youngest of the Council, representing the Light Destroyers, as well as being less than Elite like himself. He recognizes her maturity and is always stalking her, much to her discomfort, as she dislikes anything that reminds her of blood.

His Past, Present and Future

Born to a prominent female Dark Destroyer and an unknown father, Osterasy grew in the village of the Dark Destroyer clan. He was still relatively young when his mother ascended to being part of the Destroyer Council, representing his clan. This made him feel very proud, to see his mother in the high council and leader of the Dark Destroyers

The fact that he was not of pure Destroyer origin margined him from most of his companions, as he seemed to have a harder time controling his destroyer powers. This was heightened by his growth-rate, since while his mother's people lived to almost two thousand years, his father's kind lived to only 300. Thus, he aged more quickly than his peers, and yet seemed to mature as slow.

When he was around 50 years old, his mother was sent on an important mission by the Destroyer. He never learned what that mission was, but he did learn the consequences of it. His mother had failed to complete the mission, and under the strain of having the Destroyer watch her fail with so many of it's eyes, she had killed herself in shame.

Osterasy had been shocked when he heard. His mother, the Dark Council, the person he looked up to, had died in shame. This had been a hard blow for him, since he was in position to take her place, but much too small and inmature. The fact that his mother had failed also weighed heavily on him, he did not want to find himself in a similar situation.

Thus, he trained, and took on a sarcastic side, to hold at bay any who tried to use his past against him, not making much friends within his clan or even among the others. His goal in life is to become better than his mother, and prove to the Destroyer that his clan is capable of standing the pressure and not fail in any mission he is given.

First Visit to the Forest

And so we come to the first in what will end up being many RP tid-bits for Osterasy. This takes place on his first vsit to the forest, following Zaeniria (played by Mew), of the Council, where he meets Urleao (played by Raile), a half-breed Fauna Sibling, and learns that he has a sister that resides here.

Tch..." Her voice was smooth and dark, and her black fur was like a shadow as she looked at the forest. "This is what they are so interested in...?" even with her sarcastic tone, she had some form of respect speaking of The Destroyer.

Walking forward, dark sword at her side, she stepped into the man path of the forest. She knew she'd be quite noticeably different, but thought nothing of it. One of the other Megas was here, which was well enough to make her come and see for herself.

Urleao lay serely in the shrubbery, long tail curled around his great striped legs. He was feeling refreshed and calm, enjoying the shade. That was one advantage the forest had over the mountain city. There were so many more places to hide.

Zaeniria was ner name, but she was referred to by all destroyers and anyone she met by Aea. Aea silently walked along, listening quietly and sensing others were near. She only kept walking, not doing anything.

Aea paused, lifting her head to look around."It really is calm here," She commented, "Is it like this all the time?

Most of the time," came a low voice in the bushes. Urleao stood, revealing his incredible height. "Xweetoks come and go, and sometimes they fight," he explained, his long teeth matching the prpotortions of everything else. He really was very tall and he stepped over the bushes with easy grace. "But most of the time it is very quiet."

Aea inspected Urleao, and said, "Hurm, I had expected more. The destroyer has had its eyes on this place a lot. It has nothing to realy see." She spoke of the destroyer normally, everyone where she was knew of it, and the eyelike neckband she wore was glowing, signifying its eye was on her and the forest.

Ul regarded her quietly for a moment, his slow blink revealing the pale blue faux eyes that were painted on his lids. "...the Destroyer?" His voice was smooth and unperturbed, as though such questions were normal and she had not said anything out of the ordinary.

Aea thought a moment, realizing slowly that they had no knowledge of the giant dragon.

The destroyer. Three heads, 18 eyes, source of all destroyer powers." She motioned to the comet-like Megas mark on her side, offhandedly.

He blinked at it, it seemed to be his way of showing he was thinking. "...I see." A slightly ironic statement, considering the numerous eyelike designs he bore. "And these Destroyer powers...they create great conflict?" He didn't say how he knew this.

Aea shrugged. "I suppose. Conflict to others, its natural to us."

she paused, looking at him. The destroyer turned its gaze to Ul, the feeling of someone watching switching from Aea to Ul.

Her neckband glowed brighter as she said, "You seem to know slightly of it."

Urleao ignored the feeling. He was immune to such things upsetting him. In a way, he was used to it. "I know slightly of many things," he told her placidly. His tail twitched, and his mirrors splached light over the leaf litter. "Though much of it is hidden."

You don't really expect these xweetoks to know much of Destroyers, do you?" Came a sardonic voice from a nearby shadow. "I mean, unless Volvagia's been giving them lectures, I doubt it greatly."

Aea frowned, turning suddenly.

She looked perturbed for a moment, but her previous cool -disallowed_word-played by Hikaru), Irzoile, Ceranda's mate (played by Ceci), the Seraph, Bellenciel (played by Raile) and the two Twintail demons, Quenaii and Queiss (played by Zyoko).

Osterasy watched the treehouse from the shadow of a neighboring tree. The four demons he had sensed were inside, he could also sense some angels... this fact alone made him scowl. What were demons and angels doing in the same house? Was one of those really his half-sister? How would he know?

Azoth frowned, looking out a window. He could still feel it. A presence that seemed oddly familiar, oddly... unnerving. He paced, and turned as he heard another come in, looking at Ceranda. She frowned, "You feel it too don't you?" She asked. He nodded, turning back to the window. "And I don't like it one bit..."

Bellenciel came plunging down the stairs. "That better be one of your guests!" he growled, lashing his tail.

Quenaii sat in the kitchen looking around for some food for Qunryun quietly as Queiss watched her silently bored...everything around here was so...peaceful...But something was bugging him something felt weird near by...

Azoth shook his head, "Not that I'm aware of." He replied calmly, although his twitching tail showed he wasn't as calm as he looked, "But it's oddly familiar, almost like...." "Frathomas." Rotao finished for him, pale face staring at Azoth, who nodded.

-Irzoile walked down the stairs stretching.Looking to Ceranda he yawned and eyed Bell as he barrelled down the stairs.-"...Whats the probelm?"-He asked walking to Ceranda's side.-

Bellenciel glanced between the two of them, frowning.

A tall, orange-furred stranger lifted his head from where he'd been grazing at the berry bushes. Ah...there he was. He truned with a flip of his tail and a flash of mirrors and disappeared into the bushes. 'And the curtain rises...'

Who is that?" Queiss ased walking over towards the others quietly looking over at Azoth confused.

Ras took a deep breath, /Suppose this is as good a time as any.../ he thought with a frown, as he finally walked out of the shadow, and looking up at the window, where he sensed them to be.

Azoth looked out, eyes wide as he saw the red demon staring back. "What..." He said in a hoarse voice. Rotao saw his reaction, and walked closer to the window, looking out. "No... that... he's... it's... impossible!" She said, backing away, suddenly feeling faint.

Bellenciel pushed past her to see, then stumbled back. Holy crap...!

Quenaii came into the room hearing Azoth "Whats going on?" She asked worryed seeing their -disallowed_word-played by Mew). They speak, and Ras learns why Aditeya fears his fur color, as well as finding a new reason to stay firm in his position of being Dark Council and not King to Niflheim.

Teya stood near the waterfall, lifting her hand to the water silently, Lore next to her. She glanced at him, frowning. The Eye he wore, signifying their connecton to the destroyer was glowing. It was watching.

She sighed, taking her paw out and shaking it off. So Aea was in the forest? She was glad, for the fact that Aea took care of her when she entered council, confused and wary.

Ras walked out of a shadow in the line of trees next to the waterfall, behind Teya. He watched her, smiling faintly. Such pretty wings, and noble standing. Frail-looking, even, but he knew it was just an appearance. He was silent as he watched her.

Lore frowned, turning around.

Lady Teya," He said, "You have a visitor."

Teya didn't look voer, she sensed Ras's presence. She didn't want to see that red fur.

Ah." She murmered, "Hello Osterasy." She never used nicknames unless she knew someoen personally. Her mind drifted to recalling the destroyer, the heir for the council, but not chosen yet.

Morning, Lady Adi." He said, using his own nickname for her, but still keeping a somewhat formal tone to his salute. He didn't move, just sat there watching her, and only glancing at Lore. "You seem troubled?"

Teya chose not to look at him as she said, "Do I?" She knew she WAS troubled, still surprised and nervous that the destroyer had spoken to her directly, and the shock and fear of having 15 of its eyes on her was still echoing in her mind. Unintentionally she shuddered.... That feeling was frightening and horrible in her mind.

Ras smirked, "You do sigh a lot, I suppose, but still, more contemplative and worried than usual for the youngest of the council." He said, taking a few steps towards the water. "Destroyer putting pressure on you again?" He said mildly.

Teya bit her lips, "15 of 18 eyes." She said, her voice wavering as she avoided seeing Ras, but noticed him out of the corner of her eyes, noticeably staring at the wall. She wasn't one to hide how she felt.

Ras winced. That must have been a bad experience, even one eye made him shift uncomfortably at times. "They all have great confidence in you, don't they?" He said, with an edge of bitterness in his voice, referring not only to the Destroyer, but to the rest of the council. "Not much thought to how well you might handle the pressure." He grinned at this, looking slyly at the pale xweetok.

Teya said nothing, but gathered her courage to look over, straight into his eyes, her own cold.

Not like they have a choice. Nor do I. I have to handle it best I can." Her voice was steady, but fear rose as the red invaded her vision and she glanced away quickly.

Ras held her eyes in his own untill she looked away. He'd seen the fear, as he scowled, looking at the water. "Maybe, and you have proven to be up to the tasks they've set you, and all that." He said dryly. "What exactly do they want you to do in this forest now?" He asked as if on afterthought.

I have to teach Volvagia to fulfill her position as Fire Council." She twitched her tail, as Lore watched Ras, to make sure he didn't make Teya uncomfortable.

Ras humphed, ah... of course, V was the last of the Fire Destroers, and megas... fitting for Council, although he'd heard she'd been a tad... unbalanced lately... "Didn't she burn down half this forest recently?"

Teya nodded, "The Demon Slayer part of her, from her family, well there are many demons in the forest." She thought, and said, "I believe one very powerful one was killed by her, then reborn, and she's realy vicious at the thought."

Ras grunted, "Too many demons for one forest..." He agreed with a murmur, glaring at the water. "I wouldn't have minded not meeting any one of them..."

Teya flicked her tail as Lore spoke something loudly, "You..." He was a bit surprised, "Are an heir to the demon kingdom?"

Teya looked over, blinking, then at Ras, flinching and glancing back to the water. "The destroyer?" She asked.

Ras grimaced, and glared at Lore, "Well yes, so I discovered yesterday. Apparently with more legitimate claim than my half-sister." He turned to stab the waterfall with a piercing glance. "Not that I want the position. I've been a Destroyer all my life, I have no intentions of putting aside that."

Hum." Teya said, "You are loyal to the destroyers.... I bet that it is pleased with that." She looked over for a split second, as if forgetting he had red fur, then glanced back and said, "One step closer to council."

Ras blinked, looking over at her before smiling slightly, "I suppose..." He shrugged, "I *will* become fit for council." He frowned as he looked at Lore, then back at the water. "But even then you won't look at me without fear, won't you?"

Teya frowned, closing her eyes tightly. She said nothing for a while, then spoke, "The color of blood." She was aware her phobia of blood was known among most destroyers, but not many knew the reason behind it.

Ras was silent, he knew it was his color that disturbed her, but not the reason behind her fear of blood. "it's not my fault I'm this color, Adi." He said lowly.

Teya twitched, "It wasn't my fault my mother was murd-" She stopped, shaking her head violently.

No. No." She said, and Lore walked over, putting a paw on the Light council's tail, looking at her worriedly. She didn't want to remember but she did.

Ras looked over at her with slight surprise. Eyebrows creasing, he looked back at the woods, where Turgha stood shaking his head in disapproval. He had been about to retort he hadn't had anything to do with that, but kept silent, biting back his sarcastic reply.

Teya stood, walking onto the water, light forming beneath her feet as she left through the foliage without a word.

Lore stayed, turning to Ras. "She fears blood." He said, "Because when she saw her mother's death she was covered in blood."

Best someone knew beside Aea and Pheda. Silently the small hydruplit walked across the water clumsily after Teya.

Ras looked at the hydruplit as he left, then sighed. Turning he walked back to where Turghaeeth waited. "She'd best not get in any big battles then." He murmered as he passed the niptor. Turgha looked at Ras, then at Lore's back, before following his own charge.

Coolio Adoptables

After some discussion and posing, Ras and I decided on an adoptable set for his petpage. I am still discussing if I'll do customs, since I already do 'only customs' for the adoptables on Swerr's page. For now I'll try and get all available colors of Xweetoks done for adoption here.

Rules

1.- Do NOT enter these in the beauty contest.
2.- Do NOT edit them, they are not makeables.
