Hi my name is Joe....Danger for the ladies"
All the girls in the class giggled. All the guys did the 'woot, woot' thing and yelled out 'that's my boy'. I smiled at the reaction, even though I'd expected it. It was always the same reaction I got from my 
class mates. After all I was the most popular guy in school.
"Ok, Joe.....Danger" Mrs. Perez said smiling. "What's your hobby? Or talents?
I could have easily said 'well, I play the guitar and I sing...its my passion' but that wouldn't be cool or outgoing.
"You know going to parties, haning with the guys and....being s e x y of course!" I laughed. 
Of couse, the whole class laughed with me.
As much as I smiled and laughed I really didnt like all the attention I was getting. Well, at least not this way. I was tired of being noticed as Joe 'Most Popoular Guy In School' Jonas. The one who never took anything too seriously and always had a new girl under his arm. The one 
who would go to parties and get wasted for the hell of it. The one who everyone looked up to like some sort of god. And unfortunatly, I knew I could never shake off that image. So for now I would continue to be the 
Joe everyone wanted me to be cause Joseph was lost in the days of a lonely heart.

CHAPTER 1.

As I walked out of school I slipped my beanie on and put on my Ray Bans. I walked swiftly with my head down through the crowds of people trying not to get noticed. I almost reached the student parking lot someone reached for my shoulder and pulled me back. I turned around and groaned. I really didn't want to get home late today.
"Hey b a b y" Haydee smiled. Her blonde hair flowing down her bright pink shirt which made her blue eyes piercing.
"Oh. Hey b a b e."
"In a hurry?" She noticed my anxiety.
"Kind of. Litsen, I'll call you later." I said walking away from her quickly.
"Wait!" She called after me.
I turned around sharply and walked up to her."What?" I asked.
"Joe...are you cheating on me?" She asked looking down.
Yes, I had cheated on her. But I didn't cheat on her constantly. I only cheated on her when there was a good party she didn't attend.
"No, Haydee." I said. I didn't even sound convincing. I almost sounded sarcastic.
"Are you sure?" She asked softly.
"Am I sure? Are you serious?!" I snapped. The sad part is that she was right. Poor girl. All the girls that when out with me where poor girls. None of them deserved what I gave them.
"I'm sorry Joe. I'm just....being catious. Sorry." She said still looking down. Gosh, I felt so sorry for her. But I had to be somewhere.
"Yeah, whatever. Bye Haydee." I said turning around again and heading for my car.
"Call me later?" She shouted.
"Sure" I shouted back. That meant no.
After tonight Joe Jonas would no longer be her boyfriend. Another good girl gone.

"Where the heck have you been?" Nick asked as I walked into the garage.
"Sorry. I got held up the gas station. A bunch of the guys-"
He cut me off. "Yeah, whatever Joe."
"If you keep showing up late and not caring about our practices we'll kick you out of the group." Kevin threaten.
We had a band set up in our garage since we were little. Just the three of us singing, paying guitar, piano, and drums. But I had always keep a secret because of my popular guy image. And lately when my brothers wanted to start booking gigs and try to get big I always backed out or showed up late.
"Your going to kick your own brother out of the band?" I questioned him like he was crazy. But he was right. he should kick me out. I was holding them back.
"Yes, I will." Kevin said without a hestitation.
"Litsen Joe. We love you. Come on, your on brother. But you keep choosing your friends and stupid parties over our band. So were making this desicion now. Its either the band or your image. Pick." Nick said.
I couldn't belive I actually had to think about it. Could I really be so into what other people thought of me that I would give up what I loved most?
"Can I have more time to think about this?"
"Dude, are you serious? You actually have to think about?" Nick snapped.
"Why don't you just dissapoint us now and go to your friends now?" Kevin said walking out of the garage and into the house.
Nick just stood there staring at me. But the look on his face made it look like he was staring at a stranger.<br>
In the past year and a half I was a complete dissapointment to my family. I hung out with my friends 24/7, I never talked to my parents or siblings, I stopped showing up for dinner every night, I would come home 5 hours after my curfew, I got d r u n k every weekend, and the worst thing I could have possibly done is when I lost my v i r g i n i t y.
Maybe Nick was looking at a stranger after all.

CHAPTER 2.

To make up for the mishappening with my brothers earlier I decided to 
actually show for dinner tonight. I sat at the table which seemed almost 
foriegn to me and looked at the rest of my family while they stared at 
me.
"Are you going to eat or just stare at me?" I questioned.
All of them looked down quickly and started eating. Except for my mom. 
She kept looking at me. Her face happy but dissapointed at the same 
time. She was happy I had actually showed up to dinner but of course was 
dissapointed in what I had become. I don't even remember the last time I 
actually looked at my mom for more then a minute. I barely saw her. I 
looked down and kept eating so she would stop staring. It was silent for 
a couple of minutes. Only the sound of forks scraping plates was 
audible.
"Joseph?" My mom said breaking the silence.
"Yeah, mom?" I asked.
"I have some good news." She smiled.
"Really?" I asked. The only good news she ever had for me was that I was 
un-grounded.
"Yes. Guess who's coming to town?"
Not what I expected. "Uh, I don't know. Grandma?" How would that be good 
news?
She laughed. "No. Stelisa."
"Who's that?" I asked.
"You know...Stelisa. Your best friend from middle school. Light brown 
hair, glasses."
"OH! Stella! Of course." I said hitting my self in the head.
Stella. My best friend ever. The one who made middle school worth going 
to.
"Yes, Stella." She smiled.
"Really? She's coming to town? How? When? Why?" I asked.
"Well, I spoke to her grandmother Estela. Remember her?"
"Of course. She made the best brownies." I smiled at the old memories in 
my head.
My mother laughed again. "Well, yes. I spoke to her and she said she was 
coming to live here with her parents. Her parents didn't like Texas much 
so their coming back to New Jersey."
"Cool. When is she coming?"
"Tommorow."
"Great." I said lamely. It was so much more then great. I had forgotten 
how much I missed her.
"Oh! And she will be going your high school and her first day is on 
Monday so you'll be her tour guide." She smiled.
"Cool" I smiled back.

I layed in my bed staring at my roof after dinner. I felt so strange. I 
talked to my mom for about 20 minutes straight, I didn't say any 
profanity for 20 minutes straight, my brothers looked like they were 
going to forgive me, my dad called me 'son', and Frankie considered me 
his favorite brother for the night. I smiled at myself. I had forgotten 
how I much being with my family made me happy. Made me, me.
My phone rung interupting my thoughts. I looked at it. CALL FROM: Devon
And then it all came rushing back at me. Reality.
Tonight would be forgotten tommorow, tommorow would be the same as 
yesterday I and the real me would be lost once again.
I sighed as I picked up my phone.
"Hello?"
"J-man! I've got news dude." Devon shouted through the phone.
"What's that?" My voice sounding dead.
"Dude, look out your window and tell me what you see."
I climbed off my bed and ran to my window. I squinted my eye as I tryed 
to identify what Devon was talking about. Across the street I spotted a 
big moving truck with people unloading a couch. Next to them stood a 
woman and a man directing them to go through the backyard. Recognizing 
them immediatly. It was Stella's mom and dad. Selair and Steve. I 
scanned my eyes quickly scanned through the scene happening through the 
window, not exactly sure what I was looking for. But I did when I found 
it. Or her. A girl with light brown hair and glasses staring out the 
upstairs window. Her face so familiar and comforting I wanted to jump to 
the other side of the street and hug her tightly.
"Hello? Joe?" Devon shouted through the phone.
I gasped. "Stella."

CHAPTER 3.

Stella? Who's Stella?" Devon asked.
"Uh..you know stella. Like that's so stella!" What the hell? Stella? 
This old Joe was making me lose my edge.
"Uh yeah, sure. Totally stella" Devon said. "Anyways, their new and the 
oldest daughter is 18."
So it was Stella.
"Uh, yeah, cool. Hey, I'll talk to you later Devon I have....homework." 
What the hell was wrong with me.
"Homework? Since when do you do homework?" Devon questioned my sanity.
"Bye Devon." I said quicky. And hung up the phone.
Stella's P.O.V.
"Do you know how much I'm going to miss you?" He said clenching my 
closer to his chest.
"Not as much as I'm going to miss you." I choked through the tears.
He laughed once. "Yeah, right."
"No really" I sniffled. "Your my best friend. How am I supposed to move 
to that stupid state without you?"
He pulled me away from his hug.
"We'll still be bestfriends no matter what. It doesn't matter where you 
go or how long you'll be gone, you'll always be my bestfriend." Tears 
started to build up in his eyes. He cleared his throat before speaking 
again "I promise you that."
I wrapped my arms around his waist again and began crying harder. My 
salty tears staining his white shirt.
"Stelisa! Come one honey its time to go." I heard my mother call from 
the car.
"I guess this is goodbye." He said like it was a perfectly rehearsed 
line in an old film.
I laughed cause I knew that's what he was aiming for. He smiled at my 
laugh.
"No more crying, ok?" He asked.
I smiled a cheesy smile. "No more crying" He laughed.
"Love you." He said hugging me one last time. I held on to him wanting 
to grab him and stick him in the car with me. I didn't want to leave my 
bestfriend.
"Love you too, Joe."
BEEEEEEEP!
A car horn screached snapping me out my day dream. I stepped on 
accelerator and drove foward towards the now green light.
Ever since my mother told me we were moving back to New Jersey all I 
could think of was Joe. My bestfriend for 3 years. Those last moments of 
him holding me in my arms and the promise that he made me. The promise 
that had been broken.
Me and Joe talked everyday, everynight, every second for the first 2 
months that I moved to Arizona. But when school started we started lose 
contact. We both always had something to do that interfered with us 
communicating. Homework, after school activities, family gatherings, and 
most of all new friends. So eventually, after year, we completely lost 
contact and never spoke to eachother again. And now that I found out I 
could finally see him again after 5 years I was completely thrilled. I 
couldn't wait to see my Joe. The one with short black hair, dark brown 
eyes, glasses, and a short, little body.
Joe's P.O.V.
I ran to the house across the street faster then I've ever ran. As I 
passed by the living room I heard my mom scream "Joe! No running in the 
house!" I ignored her and ran out the door. Once I reached the front 
lawn of the other house I stopped running and slowed into a walk. 
Stella's parents squinted their eyes through the almost dark light.
"Hey. You must be Selair and Steve. Am I right?" I smiled as I said 
their names. This was bringing back so much good memories.
"Uh, yes." Selair said. "Who are you?" She asked.
"You might remember me. Its me...Joe Jonas."
"Oh! Joe!" Selair shouted. She threw her arms around me and patted my 
back. "Of course, I remember you." She pulled me back from her body but 
kept her hands on my shoulders. "Wow. Your all grown up." She smiled.
I laughed. "Yes, I am. So uh, can I see Stella?"
Selair and Steve looked at eachother like I had missed out on 
something.
"She's not here, Joe." Steve said.

CHAPTER 4.

Huh? What do you mean she's not here?" I asked. I mean I saw her didn't 
I? I saw her standing in the window. I looked back at the window 
frantically and saw no one there. Could I be imagining things?
"She's not here yet." Selair corrected. "She'll be here tommorow. She 
decided to drive her herself over here cause she wanted to spend one 
more day with Luis."
"Oh." Is all I said. I had been so excited to see her and now I had to 
wait. And who was this Luis guy?
"Sorry Joe." Steve said.
"Its alright. I just wanted to see her. Guess I'll wait till to tommorow 
then."
Just then a girl with light brown hair and glasses walked out of the 
house towards Selair and Steve. At first, I thought it was Stella again. 
But when she got closer I realized it was just someone who looked a lot 
like her. Her sister Selena.
"Mom, Dad, I can't find my phone charger in the bag and I-" She looked 
at me abruptly and asked, "Who's this?"
"Selena, this is Joe. Remember? Stelisa's best friend." Selair reminded 
her.
"Oh my god! No way!" She sounded shocked. "What happened to the wimpy, 
dorky Joe I remember?"
I laughed. "I could say the same about you"
She stuck her tounge out at me and laughed.
"So how's...uh..what grade are you in now? How old are you?" I asked. 
How old was she anyway? 12? 13?
"I'm 15 and I'm a sophmore."
"15? Really? Wow. Talk about growing up."
"Me? Look at you! Your a completely different person."
Inside and out I said in my head.
"Same old, same old."
"Joe, do you mind helping us put somethings in the house?" Seliar asked 
politely.
"No. I'll help out." I smiled.

Tonight had been the funnest night I've had in a long time.
After I was done helping Selair and Steve move stuff in my whole family 
came over to their house and we all just hung out. It was like the old 
Joe was escaping me again. Making me forget what I had to go back too 
tommorow. School, friends, popularity. But the old Joe kept tugging at 
the back of my mind. Kept reminding me that tommorow was another day 
where he would reappear.
Stella was coming tommorow.

After school I drove my car to its maximum speed all the way to my 
house. My car skidded to a stop in my driveway. I literally jumped out 
of the car and ran across the street to my best friend's new home. I ran 
up the porch steps and stopped right in front of the door. I lifted my 
hand slowly and knocked on the door three times. I heard people walking 
around inside and a girl say "I'll get it!"
The door knob turned for what seem like forever and the door creaked 
open.
In front of me stood a tall, lean girl. Her short dark brown hair 
flowing right over her yellow shirt. Her light brown eyes wide with 
exicement and her cheeks were a rosy pink over her pale skin. And her 
smile spreading from one side of her face to another.
"Joe?" She whispered.
"Stella?" I whispered too.
In the next second she threw herself at me. Her arms wrapping around my 
neck and her legs wrapping my waist. I wrapped my arms around her body 
and hugged her back.
"I've missed you so much" She whispered in my ear.

^^^^^^Authors Note: Not so good. Not much happened. I know. But the next chapter is all about Stella and Joe getting to know eachother after such a long time and it gets very interesing (;
CHAPTER 5.

Stella's P.O.V.
I don't know why but I threw myself at him. I wrapped my arms quickly around 
his neck and my legs around his waist. Holding him like this resparked 
every memory we ever had together. I felt my heart beat strong as his 
arms wrapped around my body and held my tight against his.
"I've missed you so much." I whispered in his ear. But that's was such 
an understatement, I loved him.
When I met Joe Jonas 7 years ago I fell for him. His hair, his eyes, his 
smile, his humor, but most of all his charm. He made me feel like I was 
the only person who mattered to him.
But me being the shy girl I never got the nerve to even tell him I liked 
him. 2 years of being best friends with him it never slipped. Ever.
But I promised myself that this time things were going to change. Cause 
I had loved Joe for 7 years. I waited for him for 5 years and I wasn't 
going to hold it in any longer.
"I've missed you so much more." He breathed into my hair.
I heard someone clear their throat behind us. Joe laughed and unwrapped 
his arms around my body. I let go of him completely and blushed a 
little.
"I did not get a hug like that yesterday" Selena pouted her lip at Joe.
He laughed again. "Would you like one now?"
He was always such a gentleman.
"I'll pass" Selena rolled her eyes and walked up stairs.
"Love you Selena!" Joe called after her.
"Yeah, yeah" She waved off. He laughed.
I looked back at Joe who had the most dazzling smile on his face. His 
long, black hair sticking out in different directions. And the smell of 
his Abercombie cologne swimming all around me.
"Wanna go for a walk?" He asked.
"Sure" I smiled.
He walked down the porch steps and I followed behind him. We stayed 
quite for a while as we walked on the sidewalk. He talked first, "Your 
so different."
"Hardly. Your the one that's different. I mean since when do you where 
cologne? And fix your hair? And wear nice clothes? "
He laughed a soft, melodic laugh. The way it sounded made my heart jump 
a litte.
"Since I grew up. And discovered girls." He giggled.
I felt my heart stop short for a second. "Oh. So do you have a 
girlfriend?"
"No." He smiled like if there was something funny about what I said.
"You?" He asked.
"No boyfriend." I stated. I paused wanting to add something but I said 
something else instead.
"So what's been going on here since I left?"
"Nothing terribly exciting." He smiled that same smile from a few 
seconds ago. He was hiding something.
"What's so funny?" I asked curiously.
"Huh? What? Nothing." The smile appearing again.
"Uh huh, sure." I laughed.
"How do you know I thought something was funny?" He stopped in front of 
me on the sidewalk. "I didn't laugh."
"Your smile." I explained. "It looked like there was something funny I 
was missing."
He stayed quite and looked into my eyes, amazed. I felt all my bones go 
from rock solid to a jello. His deep brown eyes held mine for a couple 
of more seconds and I looked down trying to distract myself from looking 
like an idiot.
"Am I right?" I asked looking up again. He still had the amazed look 
plastered on his face.
"Yeah." He said quitely and keep walking foward again.
"Is that bad?" I asked walking again.
"Uh, no. You just know me so well. Even after 5 years. Its wierd. But 
nice at the same time?" He made it sound like a question.
I laughed. "I'm glad I make you feel wierdly nice."
He laughed and stopped suddenly. "Wanna do something?" He asked grabbing 
my shoulders and smiling hugely at me.
"Uh, it depends." His smile was making me incoherent.
"Close your eyes" He urged.
"Why?" I asked but closed my eyes obediently.
"Just trust me" He said grabbing my hand and leading me down the 
sidewalk. We walked for about 2 minutes and then we stopped.
"Ok." He said. "Open your eyes."
I looked straight ahead seeing a playground. But not just any playground 
the playground where we used to play all the time as kids. I smiled as I 
remembered all the amazing memories brought by this tiny park.
He held out his hand in front of me and asked "Would you like to take a 
trip down memory lane Stelisa?"
"Gladly Joseph."

CHAPTER 6.

Joe's P.O.V.
As I walked her up the porch steps she sighed. I looked at her and she looked down. 
"What's wrong?" I wondered out loud. She was happy the whole time at the park.
She silent for a couple seconds, I wondered if she didn't hear me. But just when I was about to speak she murmured "Nothings wrong." 
She stopped at the front of the house and was about to knock on the door when I slid in the space between her and the door.
"What's wrong?" I asked again.
She smiled. "Nothing's wrong, Joe," But something about her smile was off. Something was bothering her. I'd known her long enough to know that.
I put my hand under her chin and put her head up so I could see her face more clearly. "Humor me."  I said.
Her eyes opened wide, her mouth hung open slightly. I stared at her face waiting for her to respond she just stood there with that shocked expression on her face. 
"Stella." I whispered. I didn't want to speak loudly. By the look of her face she looked like she was about to have a heart attack.
"Huh?" She asked dumbly.
"What's wrong?" I asked again.
"Oh, um, I'm just nervous." 
"Of what?" 
"Uh, school tomorrow. I'm going to be the new girl you know." She teased. She seemed like she was her self again.
"No need to worry about that." I smiled. She didn't need to worry. But I did. 
"And why is that?" She asked.
"Well, I'll be there so you won't be alone." I paused and then added "But if you get lost don't even bother calling me. I've been at that school for 4 years and I still don't know my way around."
She laughed. "Typical Joe." 
"Always." I lied. Typical Joe wouldn't be here right now. Typical Joe would probably be out finding himself a new girlfriend. Typical Joe wouldn't care for Stella. But the old Joe did.
She sighed. "I guess I have to go inside now." 
Stella's P.O.V.
I didn't want to go inside. I wish I could stay in this moment with him forever. But he slid out of my way to the door and I knocked so someone could answer. My sister answered the door. "It's about time you got home." She said exasperated.
"What time is it?" How long could be and Joe have been out?
"Its 9:30" Whoa. 7 hours. It felt so much shorter then that. Spending my time with Joe seemed much to fast. And how I didn't notice the 7 hours that passed so quickly was beyond me. 
"Oh. Weird." Was I managed to say.
"Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school." Joe smiled at me. There went my heart again.
"Okay, see you then." I said a little staggered. I took one step into my door when I felt a warm hand tug my wrist back.
"What? No hug?" Joe teased. If only he knew that his teasing drove me completely insane. But I did as he pleased by wrapping my arms softly around his waist. He wrapped his arms around my body as a simple gesture, a friend thing but for me it meant the world. Just his hugs could make me forget the rest.
"Ok, now you can go inside." Joe giggled when hung on to him for longer then necessary. I blushed and pulled away. 
"Goodnight Stella."
"Goodnight Joe."

"Ok Stella, you can do this." I told myself looking into the mirror of my car. I put on some eye liner, fixed my hair a bit, hung my bag over my shoulder, and got slipped out of the car. As I walked through the student parking lot my stomach began to feel uneasy. I'd forgotten how horrible it was to be the new girl in school. As I looked around no one seemed to notice my existence, but I noticed theirs. Especially the girls. While I wore a t-shirt, vest, skinny jeans, and pair of chucks the girls here came like they were about to walk on a runway instead of a hallway. One girl in particular stood out. Her platinum blonde hair flowed down her stringy, electric blue top. Her top and pants where too tight making her butt and chest look bigger then they truly were. And her heels, wow. She wore 9 inch, gold heals that stood out from miles away. I analyzed her up and down. Yes, she was pretty and yes her outfit was nice, but this was school and she was of course, the most popular girl in school. My first minute here and I already knew that.	
I looked around trying to see if there was any sign of Joe anywhere. A lot of boys had the same hair style as him, often confusing me as I walked swiftly towards the school. But none of them had the angel face underneath the gorgeous hair like Joe did. 
I reached the first building the minute the bell rang. I groaned and then sighed. First period of the day. Good luck to me.

The first four periods went fast and not as painful as I thought. But I didn't have Joe for one single class. I expected to see him since we both had advanced classes but I didn't even see him in the hallways. I walked down the crowded stairs trying to get to the lunch room, maybe I would see him there. And I did.
As I walked into the roar of the lunchroom there stood Joe looking more gorgeous then ever, if that was possible. I smiled as I saw him laugh at one of his friends. He had the most adorable laugh. But it took me a couple of seconds to register what he had his arm around. It was that girl. The one from early this morning. She had one arm wrapped around his waist and they both laughed together at a boy standing next to them. The pain that coursed through me was unbearable. I felt like my whole body would collapse on the floor at any second. With each laugh, with each smile I felt my body get weaker and weaker. And as much as I wanted to look away from what I considered a nightmare I couldn't help but stare. Because my head was telling me what my heart would never understand, this was reality. Joe had a girlfriend. Joe was happy. Joe had changed. My knees got weaker and weaker. But suddenly my body bolted up as I saw something else before my eyes. The blonde leaned into Joe's face and pecked him softly on the lips. My body no longer felt weak or feeble. The pain was replaced with fire. 
He lied to me. 
And when he smiled at me that way last night I knew he was hiding something but I let it go. My head raced with thousands of thoughts all at the same time. Anger, pain, defeat, loneliness, heart break, but most all betrayal. That word sent my heart pounding. And this time it wasn't because I felt all warm and fuzzy for him. For once, I wanted to kill Joe Jonas.

CHAPTER 7.
