So, you like one of these fantastic fosters? Why not apply to take him or her home? Despite what you might have heard from other users, applying for a pet is completely simple and I don't bite!

What is an application? It's how I'm going to get to know you. Basically, once you've read the rules below, I need you to write a little bit about three important things:
#1: You. There are thousands of people in Neopia, and chances are I've never met you. Tell me about your life as a Neopian.
#2: Your Neofamily. After all, these pets are going to be my foster's brothers and sisters if you're chosen as an owner! It's important for me to get to know them a little, as well as to observe how you treat them.
#3: My foster. Yes, I already know something about her after caring for her all this time, but I want to know how you see her. How will she fit in with your family? What do you think her life will be like with you? Will she take part in any activities? Do you have any ideas about future goals and aspirations centred around her? If you see her personality as being different from the one I've suggested, you should let me know that, too. New nicknames are also welcome!

Daunted? Don't be. ^_^ The application is just a starting point for getting to know you. It needn't be at all long unless you want it to be-- I'll follow up most applications with a few interview questions anyway. If you're very keen on art, HTML, or fiction writing, and want to show me an example as part of your application, by all means do, but bear in mind that it won't privilege you above anyone else. I'm looking for the best owner, and that's not always the same thing as the best artist or writer.

So, once your application's done, get it sent in. I'll try and bounce any apps that turn up on random side accounts to the right place, but I'd prefer it if the application was Neomailed to Avie's Agency's official mail-wrangler, cheeky_sweetie. (Note that while cheeky_sweetie is a friend of mine, she won't at all mind messages addressed to "Dear Dream".) If your app is on a petpage, please include the link to it in your first Neomail. Unfortunately, I can no longer accept applications by Webmail, since I'm not a Premium member right now.

1. Please treat my fosters as individuals. They have genders and nicknames as well as colours and species.
No, this doesn't mean you should start your application with "I'm interested in applying for Kitty the female Aisha"; it just means that you won't get much sympathy if you talk about one of my fosters by her colour and species alone, or as "It".

2. I am in no way selling, raffling, or doing anything illegal with regard to these foster pets. Please respect my decision to stay within the rules.
Anyone attempting to offer me any reward for changing my opinion on any application will be reported, blocked from Neomailing me again, and blacklisted by as many foster parents as I can get to listen. After three years as a foster parent, this is a considerable number.

3. 3-monthers and above only, please.
This rule is partly TNT's and partly mine. A rule exists that strong or rare pets can only be adopted out to users over four months. Besides this, I'm a bit hesitant to adopt out to someone who's hardly settled in. If you don't yet know for sure that you want to make Neopia your home, I don't think you can offer a home to my pets.

4. Make sure you have room for my pet.
When you apply, make sure you have less than four pets already on the account you're intending to make my foster's new home, or are planning to transfer a pet out of that account (to another of your own) in the next few weeks. Above all, do not abandon one of your pets to make room for one of mine! If I even suspect this has happened, you'll be rejected and blacklisted.

5. If you're making multiple applications, please be upfront to everyone involved.
If you're applying for another pet at the same time as one of mine, please let both me and the other foster parent know.

6. No third-party applications.
I will not accept any applications where the prospective owner is anyone but the person writing the application. If a friend of yours really wants to adopt one of my fosters, they can contact me themselves.

7. If you have your own plans for a foster's Petpet, tell me.
You are welcome to keep any items I send with a foster, including Petpets, clothes and toys, but please don't accept a Petpet just to take it off and sell it if you have a more suitable one in mind.

8. Absolutely No Traders.
This is an adoption agency, working to find permanent homes for Neopets. Please do not even think about applying for one of my pets with the intention of trading him or her. That isn't the idea.
Note: Despite being the originator of the "Pets Are Priceless" movement, I will not automatically be prejudiced against you if you've traded pets. I tend towards a "hate the sin, love the sinner" attitude, and recognise that there ARE responsible Neopians out there who've done so. As with everything, please be honest.

9. The pets with a notice of adoptability on their lookups are the ONLY ones who will ever be up for adoption. Please do not ask me for any of the others.
If a pet's status is not made explicit, assume that he or she is NOT up for adoption.

10. To let me know you've read these rules, please include this somewhere in your application.
You can put them in a Neomail, in a shop, on a petpage, in a story, in a subject line, I DON'T CARE, but get them in! It may seem silly, but it also helps me find your stuff again if for any reason it's ever lost.

11. By applying for one of my pets, you are acknowledging that you believe these rules are reasonable and legal.
