flycatcher guide

there aren't many flycatcher guides around but this is one of them and this is the best.my top score at flycatcher is 2909 so just try and follow what i'm talking abouttalking about.I have tried to do this guide level by level and hopefully at the end you will have a new shiny trophy

ok so lets get started.before you start catching flies make sure your type deliciousflies which will give you and extra life


As you can now see, At the bottom there are 4 quiggle heads(lives) instead of 3. remember you can only do this once
Now lets get on to catching the flies.On the first level i like to get all the blue flies.the way to do this is to wait until all the flies are at the bottom and make sure they have passed all the flowers. You can then get a more accurate shot.so from the flies you should have at least 100 points.now i'll talk about the bees. you should only get these when you are in a good position.don't move from one side of the screen to the other to get a bee as it will most probably move at the last minute and sting you. so at the end of level one you should have about 120-140 points
i usually get around 200 on the first level as you can see.another tip, although the pond weed is only worth 1 point getting rid of it means the flies can't bump into it which means it will take them longer to come down and giving you more time to get them.if you compare the first 2 pictures the first one has a lot less pond weed.levels two,three and four are the same accept don't wait for the all flies to come to the bottom.get 3 or 4 of them and then wait for the rest to come to the bottom.so now your on level 5 with hopefully all your lives.there are more flies and they are starting to speed up.now you have to stick out your tonge a bit before the fly is there because if u dont you will get the wrong fly or will completely miss.still your trying to get those blue flies
level 6 and you will notice that there is slightly more pond weed and there are less areas at the top to actually get the flies.The arrow indicates the only place where you could really get the flies. Extend this area to make it easier to catch the flies. Do this on the other side as well so you have two places at the top where you can catch the flies, so if you miss them you can always get them at the other gap. Sometimes you may not have this problem which will mean you can start getting the flies straight away.ok so buy now you should have at least 950 points.don't worry if you have less than that I sometimes mess it up but in the later levels manage to come back.If you have got a lot less than that then you may want to consider just stopping now and starting again.

so now your on level 7 and its starting to get a bit tough.if you know you'll struggle don't worry about getting the blue flies just concentrate on finishing the level. The majority of the time when there are small groups of flies you will get the fly worth 5 points which isn't too bad.if you don't struggle then you can continue on getting the blue flies as this will help to build your score.if you do or don't sruggle you should get the blue flies at every possible chance

At around level 9 you should definitely make sure that you get the flies at every possible chance. when there at the top you may think you still have a lot of time but they will usually bounce off a lot of pond weed and be down the bottom ina matter of seconds.The bees will now appear more frequently and come down at you faster.even if you arent trying to catch a bee just make sure you keep an eye on it as is could swerve from 1 side of the screen to another

Your now on level 10 the last level and this is pretty hard.you should now catch the flies at any opportunity.(you will also notice that the amount of pond weed has increased agin)what will happen is that the flies will split up into lots of little groups.to try and keep organise you should take each group out 1 by 1.always catching the lowest down flies

as you can see I have quickly got to level10.I have made a silly mistake by not watching the lower down flies.
If you only have 1 life left then you cannot do what i am about to say.Lets just pretend you have 3 lives left and you are about to finish level 10.wait until you only have one fly left and then let yourself get hit.the reason for this is that all the flies will come back again so you can do the level again.so you've now got 2 lives.repeat the process again.now you've got 1 life do complete the level this time and you will get a 100 point bonus.so now you should have at least 1800 points if everything went smoothly. If it didn't go so well then just keep trying. don't expect to get an incredible score on your first go.practice makes perfect!

now sometimes while playing the game you may see a small mechanical fly going across the screen near the bottom. you can catch this fly and when you do the quiggle should say something like uggh(or something like that). for a second his tongue will also go green. i'm not sure if this fly does anything or is just a random thing while playing the game. if you do notice anything then please neomail me as i'd love to know. I have put up a trophy list which was taken on the 3rd september 2006.As you can see you need 1850 points to get a trophy.But on the first day when trophies are given out you really only need 1400.so there you have it.if u think I could make this guide better in any way please neomail me

below is nothing to do with flycatcher but this was a very rare event so i put it on here anyway. i was given a quest by the fountain faerie but unfortunately couldn't seem to find the item i needed anywhere. if you don't what the fountain faerie is then let me explain. its like any other faerie quest but the items are usually a lot harder to find ans usually cost over 100k, if you complete the quest then you can choose a colour for your pet to be painted, you can have any except royal and robot i think and maybe some others. well thats all thanks again
