First of all.. DISCLAIMER: I was in no way forced to make my application. :)

Hey, Umbra! ^^ This here is my application for Lisses. I've been super excited since you officially put him up for adoption. I hope the application comes off as excited as I really am. xD I've kept the sections pretty simple (when needed) to get to the point without creating fluff to make my application longer than it needs to be. Enjoy!

He has a *beautiful* name. Lisses has a name that is both mysticcal and strong at the same time. It sounds Like the perfect elven name, too. This specially appeals to my nerdy side. *pokes group Lord of the Ring marathons* I also got the idea to go on the search for the perfect 'cat-like' faerie after doodling in my physics class. I really liked the concept, so I worked on the physical aspect and molded him to perfection. Then it was decided that I must have one, but only with a fitting name. ^^ I'm very excited to have found a perfect name/gender/color/species combo. His name couldn't be more perfect for the story I've made. *pokes down toward the Intro section* I started the very beginings to give you a feel for what I see. Petpet: Fafnir - (norse for 'a dragon') Fafnir is going to be a Ukali. He is only the size of a bottlecap and is often mistaken for a white spider or a baby albino praying mantis. He won't come into the story until later on, but he serves an important pushing factor. (I don't normally have petpets intertwined in my stories, but I feel this one has a spot that is fitting. I only have one at the moment, shippo2121 with SirComplex.)

Writing: My favorite thing here on Neo is writing my pets' stories. It's like a creative release and muse for me. I spend a lot of time on my stories, pets, and revision. (and re-revision) I hold my pets' stories as some of my prouder moments in my writing. (Much better than anything I've spouted out for a standardized test essay. :P) I also like to go through re-vamps if I come up with better plots or stories for my characters. Very few plots are final at the moment due to building plots.

Art: I also enjoy art. I found that digital art was more popular than traditional, so I've been learning when I can. I mean, why not learn? I'm a bit of a noob and am mostly sticking to chibi art for the time being. I'm quite proud of my progress so far, however. :D Rest assured that I'll try to make the best art I can for him as I do with my others.

Characterization: This is my BIGGEST passion in my "artistic endeavours." My absolute favorite thing is to find a really awesome, original story with an awesome plot line for my pets. (I secretly do this with my pokemon, too. This is why I hardly ever restart games without transfering them to somewhere safe. xD) The character and name is what makes me so love-struck with my pets. It makes the attachment for me more than my art ever would. It makes things more complex and personal. :) My idea for Lisses' personality is not like that of a traditional faerie. He is very curious and attentive to the world around him. At times, he can prove to be quite bright as well. Lisses originally lived in the Fea realm, a place distanced from other worlds. Since faerie kind are peaceful, nature-loving kind of people, not many problems exsist. I suppose this could get boring to a child like Lisses. This is when he left to the farthest realm he could reach. This realm bears no name since it is only destined for failure. The entry was so bad on his small body, he was blacked out in the snow. That is where he met his new friend and savior.

Lisses would have a base color of dusty grey. His wings would seem to be made of blue and green stained glass with black filling inbetween colors. a strip of black would trail from the inner corners of his eyes down to his mid jaw. Leopard spots would collect at the top of his back and fade away as they went down towrd his belly. The bottom half of his paw would look as if he splashed them in black paint. Stripes, also black, would go around his tail like rings. A pair of antennae come of the tips of his ears and end with a small, glowing yellow ball. His texture would be soft. He would have no need for a double coat since his realm always keeps a temperate climate. This makes him vulnerable to cold.

The story begins in the Fae realm, then later in the unnamed realm. This realm is one destined for failure. He chose to come here because it was the farthest from home his wings could take him. He meets the only living creature on the planet, A young girl. Not too young and not too old, either. She stayed ever silent, but Lisses found this a charming quality. Perhaps she would speak one day. She was trying to prepare for the end of her world. Her wishes are to build a machine that can take her, and now Lisses, off this planet with no hope. However, as the end grows more near, her body begins to slow down with the natural world around her. Lisses is now determined to help build this machine to save her.

The rest will be a secret, though. I wouldn't want to give away the entire story. :3 I mean, discovering a life or death situation is quite a big give away.

Before this world stands still

The room was small and rusted. It was my first sight. True sight, that is. I was sprawled out in the palm of this girl. I couldn't understand what was happening, but she looked at me with eyes of happiness and pain. She looked beautiful but like a mess at the same time. Perhaps she was two people at one time...who could know? Around the room machine parts were sprawled across the room. The only structure standing was a small table with a matching chair. It was aged and didn't look sturdy. This place was miserable..

The girl cradled me in her arms then placed me on the table. She never spoke. She only walked over to the window and stared out. Noone else was around..Were we the last beings on this dreadful planet. I flew to the girl and landed atop her head. A short-lived smirked flashed on her face as she continued to stare out the window so contemplatively. Outside there was a field of yellow flowers as far as the eye could see. It was peaceful with no wind. The entire place was still. There were no trees, no creatures, no life. How could a person possibly live like this?

I caught a glace over to her pile of junk placed in the corner. It was a curious thing. They served no purpose. Odds and ends that would never match together. At that moment she collapsed to the floor. Her energy was being drained away by the day. Time was taking away all the energy. She sat as still as she could. Conserving energy seemed to be important to maintaining life here. I joined her on the floor. I didn't understand what was happeneing, but I did know I wanted it to stop. Would this same thing happen to me, too?

My name is Kaela. As said above, Im a writer, chracterizer, and an artist. High school senior/college student at the same time. xD Yes, I AM insane for doing such a thing. I enjoy daydreaming, Pokemon, My Little Pony, Disney movies, my pets (on and offline), and gaming. I take school and pokemon very seriously. I'm going to school to get my degree in buisness management or hospitality management. I'm also in a great guild called Revolution, a neopet characterization guild, but you already know that. :P I collect random items and shove them in my safety deposit box. And on a last random point, I'm very accident prone, but spending my childhood years in gymnastics really helped my bones. I'm nearly indestructable. Kind of like superman. B)

Lisses would go on the account purple_pleurodon. All of my accounts are active, so please don't think Lisses will be ignored. (My new pets are feeling a bit alone since they came in during a busy part of the semester, but holiday break has just arrived!) Trust me, If I could keep all my pets on my main, I would. There is also a reason no new pets go on my main. The four on songo1608 were my first four pets. I refuse to move them for it's their home. I'm pretty sure that sounds lame.. But a home is a home, right? :3

This is all I have to say for now. Even though I would love to keep talking and writing. D: The extension on the deadline really helped me have the time I needed to make a nicely written application. Finals were terrible on me. xD -so tired- (This is why I don't have an actual picture drawn for now. I'm hoping the description was vivid enough to be able to see one in your head for now. What with my vacation here, I plan to be getting a lot of pet work done! After I get a few days to just sleep, that is.) I hope you've enjoyed what you've read. I tried to make my story tv show worthy. Like one of those spanish soap operas. :P Good luck picking a new owner for all your pets as well. I know you had quite a few.
