Through the huge windows you could see busy neopets writing and sketching in their overflowing notebooks. The wooden doors of the building burst open and two aishas walked out handing everyone in line the newest issue of Neostars Magazine.
Welcome to Neostars Magazine, a unique website with plenty of content. The magazine is ran by Madame, it's editor-in-chief. Since 2011 we strive to entertain our readers with articles, comics, quizzes, interviews and more! We are always seeking new staff members, for more details see the 'job positions' page! Neostars Magazine is about everything neopets related. This includes restocking, reselling, customizing, guild owning, gaming and much more.
What is subscribing, and how long is it for?
When you subscribe you sign up to receive a notification when the new issue is published. We will send you a neomail with a link. One form adds you to our list for one month but you are always free to resubscribe. If you wish to unsubscribe neomail Madame.
Do you pay for working?
Sorry, but it is against TNT rules, therefore no!
The first day of every month a new issue will be published and be available for reading. If you subscribed you should be receiving a neomail.
I am a worker, could I have a vacation?
Depends on how much work you completed during the month. I will give you an assignment and a due date, if you finish the assignment on time you can have the rest of the month off. Do not worry, I will give you at least a week to complete it.
Can I apply for several jobs in the magazine?
Yes but only if the jobs are in different categories and you have no more than two. We have three categories: writing, graphic & other. If you are a writer you can still apply to be a graphic maker but you cannot apply to be a poet.

1. You must be a neopets user for at least 6 months.
2. Be online on Neopets regularly for at least 3 days a week.
3. You must follow all Neopets rules.
Click on the job position for more information. Next to the job name there is a number telling you how many workers we currently have. If the number is full it means we do not need any more workers for that job. If you have been accepted you may use an icon located on our awards page.

Jhudora's Secret Recipes
Many (and most) of the participants selected correctly about two ingredients. Well it is time to see what we've made! If at least three of the four possible ingredients you chose match the recipe then you earned yourself an icon (at the bottom of the page) and a custom text-based font by PF. If you matched all four ingredients you also earned a monthly ad of your site in the next issue!
Spicy - The Kau Burger
The Delicious Kau burger is made with Red Spicy Pepper, Deviled Steak and Warm Blood. It is a very hot, spicy burger especially for extremists. One of Jhudora's personal favorites. The salty blood works like a sauce, the meat is cooked and cut and the peppers add the burning flavor. The appetizer that works best with this dish is Dry Lupe Bones!
Sweet - Slimy Usul Cake
The delicious Smily Usul Cake is made of PB Candy Cane, Pumpkin Marshmallow and Sticky Sweet Slime. Almost all neopets, especially babies, love this dessert. Its a large spooky treat for a whole family. Shaped into a cute usul this cake is perfect for a Halloween dinner. The best appetizer for this dish is Baby Spiders, they add some sweet blood and slimy spider skin. Other - Cheesecake Salad
Cheesecake salad is a healthy choice for everyone. Its made of mainly Old Cheese, Old Apples & Brain Juice. The salad contains cut up fruits & veggies filled with juice that improves your brain cells! It is also a dish with lots of fiber, which keeps you full for a while. The best appetizer for this dish would be Poisonous Mushroom. Even though it isnt as tasty as the cake & burger it is really good for your brain and body.

Journalist/Writer
This is the most common job for the magazine. Writers will be writing short stories, articles and quizzes for us. One writing piece per month is required but you are always welcome to write more.
If you are writing an article, it must be at least 1,000 words long but no longer than 2,000 words. The articles, unlike short stories, are informative. Keep in mind that everything must be neopets related! Make sure you write on one specific topic you choose, like a certain game if you are writing a game guide & etc. Dont forget to get your topic approved my Madame before writing.
If you are writing a short story it must be at least 1,500 words long and no longer than 2,500 words. The short stories, unlike articles, are for entertainment. Everything must be neopets related. Keep in mind that many of the readers are kids, so keep the words simple. Dont forget to get your topic approved my Madame before writing.

Poet
A poet would be writing poems on a neopets related topic every month. Poetry must rhyme, if you cannot rhyme this job is definitely not for you. Any poems must be at least 8 lines long but less than 30 lines long. No word limit in this case as long as each line contains over 4 words.
When applying for this job you must include an example of your poem or I will give you a topic to write about and see if you can make it rhyme. Everything must be neopets related!

Graphic Designer
Graphic Maker's job would be to make graphics for the magazine and website. For the website we would need link back buttons, award icons and occasionally banners. If you can make layouts your chances of being accepted highly increase. When applying for the job you must have live examples so simply a portfolio would be great.
The graphic designer will have up to three assignments per month including making buttons, icons and/or banners. We will give specific details like the text and theme of the graphic, but what image you use is up to you unless you ask us to provide you with one. Please do not use graphics that you make for Neostars Magazine, for any other purposes. If you are interested in the job, simply fill out the form on the job positions homepage. (:

Fashion Stylist position
Fashion Stylist are basically people who customize neopets! Keep in mind that not just customizing neopets is required but you also must include prices of each item separately and then the full outcome price too. Below are a few examples of such works:

Special Jobs
Font Designer - 0/1
The font designer will be responsible for making neoboard fonts for our readers. When applying you must have several font examples already. If you own a font request site, you can just provide me with a link to it. The job will include making special-themed 3-5 fonts per month. Each month I will assign different avatars and a different amount or fonts required. All fonts must be non NB Pen, so everyone can use them! That is it, apply today.
Artist - 1/2
Artists will be drawing one or two arts per month upon demand. All art must be strictly neopets related and at least 300 x 300 pixels in size. Each month there will be a given theme and the artists will decide for themsleves what to draw. Here are a few examples from our previous issues: Issue #5 - Faerie Zafara, Issue #7 - Island Kacheek. Of course, artists will be fully credited for their art and are always welcome to place the image in their portfolio. We prefer if the art drawn for Neostars Magazine will not be entered into the art gallery, because we want it to remain unique. If you love to draw and have some spare time on your hands, feel free to apply by simply filling out the form on the job positions page.
Pixeler/Doodler - 1/2
Pixelers/Doodlers will be drawing small objects for the theme of each magazine issue. If you like cute, small things and have some knowledge in how to use paint, gimp or another program, this is a job for you! You must have examples, that is not optional. If you own a pixel/doodle request site then just provide me with a link. On this job you will be required to draw 5-10 pixels/doodles per month. Image references might be provided, but no necessarily. Everything must be neopets related. Click here to see an example from our previous magazine issue.
Quiz Writer - 1/1
For this job you will be writing up to three quizzes per month for each magazine issue. Examples are not required for this position, but if you are experienced with writing than providing some writing samples would be great. Each quiz must have at least five questions, three answers per question and three results. The more, the better but mae sure to to make the quizzes too long. Each quiz answer must have a bullet and question numbered. Here are several examples of quizzes from our old issues: Issue #3 ~ TNT Staff Quiz and Issue #5 ~ Slushie Quiz.
Joke Writer - 0/1
Joke writers must have a good sense of humor obviously! If you dont have any examples of your jokes you can write a few up in the form. All jokes must be neopets related. You'll have to write 5-10 jokes per month including animated images, (requires tiny HTML knowledge to center images and bold parts). Here is a joke page example form our previous issue: (click here).

Advertising Position
Advertisers will be obviously advertising the site. Since we do not have premade ads you will have to make up one yourself. The advertisement must have 'Neostars Magazine' in it's title, and in the message it must say at least something about our job positions and include a full link (/~neostarsmagazine).
Ignore the examples section in the form because no examples are required for this position. As long as you are active and you know how to use the neoboards you qualify. Neoboards are not the only way to advertise the website. You can send out neomails, post on the notice board & other. Be creative, advertise everywhere you can but keep in mind advertising on the trading post is not allowed as well as spamming (sending a lot of identical neoamils to other users). Apply today! (:

If your question was rejected it means it didnt follow one of our rules. It must be neopets related, not longer than a paragraph and everything muse be appropriate. It might have also been rejected due to many spelling errors, if so feel free to resend another one.
