Updates

11th November: Updated the Other section with new coding and new prices as well as completed the second link back.

8th November: I have updated one of two link backs and also added more important sets to this page. While they still remain with the outdated code, you will notice that the black border surrounding the content may disappear, and the total prices are floating at the top. These are easily fixed as it is to do with the code being uniform, but I may not update this page in at least a week as my exams are just about here.

3rd November: Finished updating the Neoquest section with updated prices.

31st October: Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of updates for this guide. I have only recently figured out what has led to the inaccessability of this page which has been a recurring problem for well over a year now. Since I have found the solution to the problem with my computer, I have been working on this guide again and completely revamping the coding so I hope you all enjoy the new look! However, it is still, quite obviously, in the works and many sections still need to be redone and repriced. I will get to this. If you see a fault in one of the updated sections, please feel free to notify me. Otherwise, I am still working on this page, and will so even more after my exams end which is in no more than two weeks. Thanks for viewing!

Introduction

Over the years, The Neopets Team (TNT) have been releasing Stamps for us all to collect, this page here is dedicated to these released Stamps. Currently there are Four Hundred and Ninety Five Stamps total, Twenty One Stamp sets, including all of the above in the Navigation. To visit your own Stamp album, you must click on your user lookup, and then click on the icon that looks like a stamp, as shown below:
Stamp Icon There, you will be directed to your very own Stamp Collection The High-Score Table can be located there as well as the Post Office Kiosk.

The Post Office Kiosk is the very Shop that sells Stamps ranged from Rarity One to One Hundred. If the rarity of one Stamp is higher than that listed Rarity, that Stamp must've been given out through a special event that occurred on Neopets in the past. To get these Stamps, which are no longer available to restock, you must purchase them off the Shop Wizard, Auctions or Trading Post.

Although some higher rarity Stamps are no where to be seen! This question and answer from the Editorial may answer your question/s:

Will you be re-releasing some of the older stamps? Many of the rarer ones from early albums are almost unavailable, or retailing for tens of millions of Neopoints.

We've actually discussed this several times before, and we are considering a couple of options that would help reduce the price of the item while also not horribly damaging how rare and difficult they are to acquire.

Adding Stamps to your Album

Once you have purchased, or restocked a Stamp, this Stamp will be added to your inventory. To get to your inventory either go to the Main Shops, and click on the first link on the second row in the Main Shops Toolbar, or click on your Neopoints in the top-right hand corner of any page, next to "logout" and your "username." Now you should be at your inventory. Your inventory is a display, or list of all of the items you've found, or earned through Neopia, that have not yet been Stocked, Deposited, Donated, Discarded, put for display in your Gallery, or added to your Closet.

Whilst still being in your inventory, to add your Stamp to your album, click on the Stamp image, which if bought recently should be located somewhere towards the bottom of all your items. A pop-up window should appear now. Underneath the Estimate Value there is a long bar which says Choose an Action click on that, and select Put in Stamp Album, now submit.
Your Stamp should now be added to your Stamp Album, now either view your Album, or refresh at your inventory.

Remember, once a Stamp has been added to your album, it cannot be taken out!

Restocking the Stamps

Stamps restock at the Neopian Post Office Kiosk which is located in the Main Shops Coins restock at the Collectable Coins which is located in the Art Centre via the Main Shops.

Sea Shells restock at the Collectable Sea Shells which is located in Maraqua Charms restock at the Toy Shop which is located in the Bazaar via the Main Shops.

Click here to view a great restocking guide! If you click on any of the shopkeepers above, you'll be taken to their shop that they manage and own. As said earlier in the Introduction, these four shops sell stock ranged from Rarity One to One Hundred. If the rarity of one Stamp is higher than that listed Rarity, that Stamp must've been given out through a special event that occurred on Neopets in the past. To get these Stamps, which are no longer available to restock, you must purchase them off the Shop Wizard, Auctions or Trading Post.

The Avatars

Currently there are Six Avatars pertaining to Stamps, they are known as the Stamp Collector Avatars. To get each of these Avatars, you must complete the whole set of that required category, if you click on any of the Stamp Avatar images below, it'll direct you to your album, and that required section. But if you click on the hyper-linked text, it'll direct you to the Set needed to fill.

Album: Mystery Island
Total Approximate Cost: 258, 532, 660 nps.

Album: Virtupets
Total Approximate Cost: 139, 965, 608 nps.

Album: Tyrannia
Total Approximate Cost: 221, 049, 450 nps.

Album: Haunted Woods
Total Approximate Cost: 171, 407, 050 nps.

Album: Snowy Valley
Total Approximate Cost: 129, 252, 475 nps.

Album: Lost Desert
Total Approximate Cost: 245, 507, 950 nps.

There are Twenty Five Stamps in each Stamp Category.

Trophies

Game Trophies, including the Stamps High-Score Tables Trophy is awarded at 10:50pm NST. To get on these High Score boards, you must have a minimum of Three Hundred and Ninety Three Stamps in your collection, and then visit the Stamps Overview Page. But to be awarded a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Trophy, you must have the following amount of points:

Gold Stamp Collector Trophy At least Four Hundred and Eighty Points.

Silver Stamp Collector Trophy At least Four Hundred and Sixty Eight Points.

Bronze Stamp Collector Trophy At least Four Hundred and Fifty Three Points.

Points are equivalent to the amount of Stamps you have in your album.

The Tarla'd

Who is Tarla?

Tarla is a Red Ixi who lives atop Terror Mountain, she has her very own shop there called the Shop of Mystery As its name suggests, the Shop of Mystery sells random items, using "Mystery Item" bags. If you purchase one of these bags, obviously you'll find a random item, usually the items found are not worth the expense of the bags itself, but you'd be surprised ;D

But Tarla is not renowned for being the Shopkeeper of the Shop of Mystery, but instead for handing out free items using the Neopets Toolbar.
If you download the Neopets Toolbar (Can only properly be used in Internet Explorer, or versions higher than Mozilla Firefox 2.0, click here to get around this) on the very right-hand side, you'll notice an "Alert" button. If this button flashes the colour Yellow repetitively, click on it as quickly as possible, and maybe you can grab a free prize by clicking on the link provided via the pop-up window. The link, however changes every time Tarla visits, so there is no way of you cheating by using the same link provided in case you missed a giveaway.

About Tarla:

If you click on the image of Tarla, you'll be taken to her very own Neopedia Article.
When Tarla arrives on Neopets, she gives you one set Main Prize which is always the same, for all users. The Main Prize is usually available for three minutes or less. If you miss out on the Main Prize, you'll be awarded with other various items called Droppings.
Tarla does not come everyday, but rather at random, meaning she could come twice a week, and then have a long break, and not return for a month or so.

You do not have to download the Neopets Toolbar to be elegible to access these free prizes. If you do not have the Neopets Toolbar, and you would like these free prizes, I suggest hanging around the Help Chat as the people there are usually aware of Tarla, and post rather quickly. When Tarla does come on a certain day, she will award these prizes many times, until the clock hits 12:00am NST again. Tarla awards these prizes for approximately five minutes but usually does come again within that day. Although, you are only elegible to have these free prizes once a day, no more. Please do not log onto your side accounts to cheat, and earn more prizes, it is against the rules, and will most likely end up your account/s warned, and perhaps frozen.

The Prizes:

The Main Prize usually deflates (drops in price) more than the Droppings, for you see, the Main Prize is awarded more commonly than the Droppings, in comparison. This event thus causing the Main Prize to deflate. When a Tarla'd item has been handed out via the giveaway, and you missed it completely, it is best to purchase one day after, especially if it is a Collector's item (usually just items that can only be used once) such as Stamps, Coins, Sea Shells, Charms, Books, Scrolls, and "Unrestockables" (Paint Brushes, Laboratory Map Pieces, etc) because in future preference, that item will rise in price again.

The Keyquested

What is Keyquest?

Keyquest is a multi-player board game which players can earn gold, silver, bronze and lead keys which can be used to redeem various prizes at the vault. There is an excellent tutorial on how to play Keyquest created by The Neopets Team, as well as a FAQ page.

Mystery Island

The Album

Five Stamps were given out in the Great Stamp Giveaway, starting from September 21st, 2002. These Stamps are now exclusive Rarity 101's, are part of the Mystery Island Stamp Set, of which you can receive an avatar by completing the set. The demand of these Stamps are plausable, so expect to offer high.

The Mystery Island Grarrl Stamp was released on the 6th of September, 2002, and given out through the game Better Than You if you defeated Spectre's score in Igloo Garage Sale on September 6th, 2002.

The Island Acara Stamp was released on the 18th of September, 2002 and randomly retired, along with forty nine other items on the 28th of October, 2003.
