Some of you may be wondering why we display our statistics with the # sign. Well, we believe that you should join a guild because of what is offered or the people you meet versus the amount of views, members or messages we have. For some this may not be the best option but we rather you read through our pages or chat with us on the GC before coming to the decision to join us or continue your guild search.

Here at Sonho, we are looking to provide a calming atmosphere as well as a fun environment. We host a variety of amenities and goodies for all Sonho members. We are looking for members who are kind and willing to participate, yet laid-back in nature. We're looking for people who mesh well with the rest of the guild family. We want members who have goals on and off neo, enjoy helping others and overall make us a part of their lives.
More information can be found on the Why Join? page. We really hope you'll consider us in your guilding adventure!
The Beginning:
So after many months of searching for a guild that met all of the criteria that Dream wanted she decided to make a guild. Her longtime friend Rynn came aboard a day after Dream neomailed her and told her "...you're going to laugh because I'm thinking of making a guild". Once they came together and started working, it took about 1 week and 4 days to finish the guild which opened on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. We shall see how the guilds grows and develops come April of 2013.
Although we are a very relaxed guild, we know that there will be unforeseen issues that may arise. This, as well as many other reasons, is why we have these here. Most of these rules are common sense, but having written documentation is always best.
- First and foremost, abide by the rules designated by TNT located here. Please familiarize yourself by reading the basic summary.
- Be kind and considerate. Always! We want zero drama here. Please respect our friendly and relaxing atmosphere to ensure we can continue this way. Please handle disputes privately or with council.
- Enable guild mailings here. Please do this because the guild will send neomails every so often. You won't be able to see them unless you've enabled your mailings. Don't fret, you will not be bombarded by them. ;)
- Begging is a no, no. We don't allow beggars in the guild. Please do not use the common lines 'I'm saving for something' (or something to that effect) as a tactic.
- Please keep in mind the safety tips when playing on neo as well as on the guild and neoboards. These are very important! Located here.
As well as general guild guideline, we also have regulations that we encourage everyone follow when chatting on the guild boards.
- When chatting on the guild board advertising on the GC you are representing what our guild stands for. With that said please uphold all guild rules and TNT's rules.
- Please don't SPAM. Nobody likes this. This includes posting messages one after another (max: 3) and double posts. Although mistakes can happen, please limit them.
- Four is the score. This means that if you post less than 4 words, do not be surprised if it mysteriously disappears. We need something to keep the conversation going!
- Language. Please watch what you say to one another. Words can easily be misinterpreted by the receiving end. We'd appreciate it if you make complete sentences so others can understand what you're saying. Please no chatspeak. Using numbers and mixed letters (L33T, HoW aRe YoU? ect.) are also not welcomed. Refrain from anything that may get you into trouble with the guild or TNT as they may tarnish the guilds modesty.
- Bad-mouthing Sonho or any other guild won't be tolerated. If you don't like Sonho simply leave respectfully.
- Let us know your name. Sometimes new members are shy, please don't be. Just jump right in!
- Say hello! Any member who has not posted within the last two weeks will be subject to deletion during member sweeps. Members who have let us know they are taking a hiatus will not be swept away.
ATTENTION: Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in a warning via neomail. Your second offense will result in a 2 day suspension. The next time we catch you disobeying one of the guidelines listed above will result in being BANNED. We have a zero tolerance policy for any wrongdoings.
Originally we started out as requirements as any block guild has, however we realized that this wasn't working out that well. We asked ourselves, why not create something that can actually help them reach their desired goals and/or skills? This is why we've taken away our requirements to join and have replaced them with clans. As a part of our application process we have listed some clubs that neopians should take into consideration before joining.
The following clubs available are :
Avatar Hunter: If you live for the magical sight of those "You are now eligible to use…" SHHs then this is the clan for you! Everyone in this clan knows the hard work that goes into achieving each and every new avatar and the huge rush of relief that overcomes you when you finally succeed. Work together to motivate your fellow tribe mates to never give up!
Creative Minds: If you have a knack for drawing, writing, graphics, or anything of the sort then this is where you want to be. Share your portfolio with the rest of the clan and shoot ides off of each other! Help others that are looking to improve their skills or get the help that you've been looking for.
Hoarders: Collectors unite! This clan is all about those who are collecting anything and everything. From beginners to avid hoarders – of stamps, neodeck cards, TCGs, and items for their galleries.
Pet Lover: We all love our pets, but this clan goes above and beyond for their beloveds. Customization kings and queens can join this clan to share their masterpieces and get new ideas from others. If you're looking to trade NC, this may be helpful for you as well.
Spartan: THIS IS SONHO!!! Battlers beware – the rest of the clan could be coming after you! Exchange weapon and opponent information with other tribe mates, battle each other, or just talk about your latest victories or bitter losses.
The Players: Connect with the other gamers of the guild and share tips and tricks or hold tournaments. Motivate each other to work toward new trophies and higher scores each month!
- Hard time recruiting. Boards weren't as active.
- Decided to change from blocks to clubs.
As a part of our application process we have listed some requirements that neopians should take into consideration before joining. The general section is mandatory and must be met by everyone. Beneath the general section are the different categories you may choose from. You must complete one of the following before applying.
-

In this guild it's not about what you have, it's about what you're working towards. We have these requirements in place just to make sure that you're serious about working towards something.
Undecided: This is the rank for members who've just joined but are not quite sure whether or not they want to make this they're guild home. Even though the application process has been completed sometimes what was thought to be might not be.
Took Refuge: These members decided to stick around because they like what they see. They've moved up to this rank once they've reached a certain amount of posts and filled out their profile.
Chasing Goals: Members who have reached this rank have done the following: have a certain amount of posts, accomplished a number of goals (since joining) and has helped someone with their goal.
Skies the Limit: More than a step this time. It's a leap! Member who have reached this rank have accomplished things that they didn't even think were possible. The amount of posts, events, referrals and goals reached (since joining) all help with reaching this rank.
Found a Home: The biggest leap of all. You are known as one of the key active members in Sonho. As owners, we look to you for your thoughts on bringing new things to the guild and for any new ideas you may have. Congratulations you have found a permanent guild home!
This is just a brief overview on how to move up. If you decide to join you will learn the specifics on how to move up via neomail. We change ranks at least twice a month so you'll have ample time to climb the hierarchy ladder! Also, we conduct guild sweeps once a month so make sure you let a council member know if you'll be away.
Since we are private, we obviously have to keep some mystery to this section until you are a member! ;) But, here is a brief overview of what we will have for you once you join.
Member Profiles : Get to know some of your fellow guildies.
Streamers : This is where you pick up some things to show off your guild support.
Awards: Show off what you've worked hard to earn.
Board Games : Just in case you're in the mood for some extra fun while you're chatting.
Adoption Agency : Just a way to try to find amazing homes for even more amazing pets.
Celebrations : Who doesn't like to get down and boogie?
...and much more! You can read some other point of views on this page here.
On January 21, 2013, we requested a review from Juniper. The owner, Alli, had this to say:

Sonho : Neo Related, Goal-Oriented Themed Guild ; Pine Sapling review (for guilds less than 1 week)
Layouts : The guild layout image is nice and crisp. It is also nice to see a bit of a throwback to blog layouts. The burlap background is an interesting choice- but it does add some texture. While it is different, the burlap background does not take away from the layout. The only suggestion would be to add a bit flair with the headers. This would add another element to the layout and enhance the lovely image chosen.
The color scheme of the web is cheerful and bright without being over-whelming to the eyes. As with the guild layout, perhaps change up the main headers to enhance the layout. Another suggestion is to use that pretty cyan in the hovering links to create a connection between the forward image (the uni) and the rest of the layout.
The portal layout is simple, but it creates focus on what a portal function is meant to be-the links. The dark green does match the flower stalks, but the little mootix looks a tad off with that green surrounding it. A more neutral green (bccfba, b7d6b5, e3eee2) would brighten the layout without taking away from the nice bright green tones.
Organization : Sonho is well organized. All the pages and information regarding Sonho was easy to find and navigation was user friendly. Well done.
*The Avatar and Game Guides link leads to the graphic page. - fixed!
Content : Sonho is off to a great start with what is offered to members thus far. The information of the guild web gives a nice amount of material on Sonho and viewers will easily understand what this guild is about. Each section is well detailed and most questions a potential members may have are answered within the text. A suggestion is to re-word the guild board regulation #5 rule or leave the rest of the text off after the second sentence. The adoption agency page is done quite well and is a standout page. Keeping that same amount a detail and organization throughout the rest of the pages will really set Sonho towards a bright guild future. Once Sonho grows, adding and creating emphasis on the goals and requirement would be beneficial.
Thus far, Sonho is well maintained and shows dedication/encouragement towards its members.
It's really quick and painless we just want to get to know you a little bit before sending an invite. In order to submit your application we ask that you visit one of our boards either on the GC or AC. If you're unable to find one, you can always neomil of the users listed under the contact section OR click here.
