Igloo Garage Sale

Visit the Gloo

High atop Terror Mountain lies the Igloo Garage Sale run by the near-frostbitten Chia's Mika and Carassa. Every few minutes they stock their igloo with random items from all across Neopia! Do you need a new book to read to your pets? Need some codestones for training (this is the only "store" in Neopia that stocks codestones). Many items from bottled faeries, to food and home items stock here! The only items you will never see are items over rarity level r89. This still leaves a vast amount of incredible items that stock here including newly released items.

Here are some basic guidelines for buying items from the Igloo: How to buy. Buying from the Igloo is A LOT easier than buying from regular Neopian shops! There is NO HAGGLING, the price listed is exactly what the item costs. When you select an item a mini window pops up confirming your intent to purchase, hit Enter and the item is yours.
It can be difficult to choose which items to buy at first. Try writing a few items down each stock and do a Shop Wizard search on them. You will quickly learn item values! (Many thanks to ickle_pengu for supplying me with a love for the Igloo)

KeyQuest

Play!

Keyquest is a multiplayer board game that was introduced to the site in Y10. This game is an entertaining way to earn nps, get great items and meet new neofriends.

If you are new to KeyQuest then it is a good idea to read the Tutorial.
Once you learn the basics the game is actually quite easy. Winning will come frequently once you understand how to use each board to your advantage and can utilize all powerups wisely.

The KEY to Keyquest:

One GREAT feature of Keyquest are the game pieces themselves, called Tokens. Each Token in your collection is yours to collect and own. They can be rewarded through the site itself for plots, game challenges or the Advent Calendar. Most plushies, however, must be bought through a supporting real world merchandiser, such as WalMart, Target, Claire's, Toys 'R Us, etc. Guide to merch. Each plushie comes with a special code to enter here on the Neopets site. The plushie you buy IS the token you receive to play Keyquest with! Each plushie code also redeems a rare item for your account that you can collect, trade or sell for nps.

Plushie Tycoon is an entrepreneurs dream! Build your empire day by day, hour by hour to see if you can sell more plushies than any other player in the game.

This game has its very own avatar!
Finish the month with cash on hand of at least 50,001nps to get this spiffy avatar.

There are many great guides available for Plushie Tycoon, and they each cover specific aspects of the game.

ESSENTIAL INFO

Wages/Personnel Help Page

Games board
There is a Plushie Tycoon help and chat topic in the games section of the neo-boards. The players here are very nice and helpful, you will learn a lot by perusing their boards and asking your own questions.

There is no denying that Plushie Tycoon takes quite a bit of your time each month, but the results are VERY rewarding! You win actual neopoints from this game. The more plushies you sell in the game, the more nps you are rewarded at the end of the month. Prize Structure.
There are three available trophies that this game awards! Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Stock Market

Buy Low! Sell High

That's right, Neopia has its very own stock market! Unlike the real world market Neopias market is not connected with the global market or even by site news and such.
The Neopian stock market is a tried and true way to make mega nps. The market can give you much bigger returns on your investment than even the Neopian Bank Interest! Try to invest every day to make the most profit.

Read our very own Stock Market Guru Mercy's (yuri445) Guide.

Easy Trophies

Dice of Destiny
Don't let appearances fool you, this game is more about luck than strategy. Try to get the most tokens down with the least amount of rolls, and hope for some heavy pts awarded on your bonus turns. Guide.
Legends of Pinball
This game requires lots of patience and a gentle hand. The object is NOT to make it past each level right away, but to keep the ball going. Aim for over 500pts in level one, and over a 1000pts by level two. Check the high scores table before you play to see how many pts you need to score in level three to get a trophy.
The Great Desert Race
A bit complicated, and you MUST NOT zone out. Pay close attention to your turns! The object is to use your two tokens and go around the board repeatedly, using the portals. You must hit the Tug of War space and roll a high number to score 100 pts. Repeat over and over until you have a high enough score to be in trophy contention. Usually takes 2-3 hours, so plan ahead. Guide.
NeoQuest Two
Play through a game on Easy Mode to win the bronze trophy. Once you obtain the bronze, you have unlocked evil mode which awards the silver trophy. Beat Evil to unlock Insane mode. Finish NQII in Insane mode for the gold.
The Castle of Eliv-Thade
The strategy for winning a trophy in this game is very simple, simply DONT FINISH THE GAME! Travel around and around the board, solving anagrams until you have reached a high enough score to place on the current high scores table.
Cellblock
In cellblock, complete tournament 1 level 4 to get the runner up medal, tournament 1 level 8 to get the bronze trophy, tournament 11 level 4 to get the silver trophy and tournament 11 level 8 to get the gold trophy. Guide.
Grand Theft Ummagine
Follow this guide ALL the way through till you beat the game and you will probably be awarded a trophy. AND an avatar! (I got a gold trophy and was NOT actually in one of the top three slots)
Invasion of Meridell
Gold, silver and bronze medals are earned by being in the top seventeen spaces of the high score table when trophies are handed out daily. The runner-up medal is earned by completing mission 5. Guide.
Double or Nothing
Go for this trophy on the first or second day of the month, when a score of 5120 will place you in trophy contention.
Round Table Poker
Be in the top seventeen spaces of the high score table when trophies are handed out daily to get the bronze, silver and gold trophies. The runner-up medal is awarded on completing level 5.
Cheat!
A take on the card game we all used to play as kids! The object is to lay down cards in sequential order or "trick" your opponents into THINKING you are playing the cards in the right order ;). Win level three for the bronze trophy, level five for the silver trophy and level seven for gold! Now get out there and Cheat!
Punchbag Bob
Beat Punchbag Bob in the Battledome. Can easily be done with two scarab rings attatched.
Snow Wars
Play and win against each opponent from level 1 - 10 to win a gold trophy! Each game costs 100nps to play, and you may have to replay some levels a few times, but overall this is one of the easiest trophies to achieve on the site.
Ugga Drop
Successfully send a perfect score of 40,000pts. Do this by restarting until you play as the scorchio, knocking other players if they are near you to slow them down, and opening your chute just below the ladder on each stage. You are allowed to crash land twice each game if you feel you are not going to place first without penalty. Get one of each update when prompted.

NeoQuest I & II

One of my favorite pasttimes on this site is NeoQuest! This game has the habit of making the time FLY by! Plus you get the prestige of trophies and multiple avatars to show off your mad questing skillz! This guide is going to compile all the knowledge which I think you need to complete both quests!

Please note: NQ1 is linked to your active pet, (pet stats have no effect on the game)..so you need to make sure you have the correct pet before you carry on playing, otherwise you will wonder why you are starting all over at the beginning again. Also if you have pounded the pet you were playing with, your game is lost and it's time to start again....
NQ2 is linked to your account - nice and simple

If you die on Normal or Evil modes you go back to your last resting place but if you die on Insane mode you have to start your game again.

Neoquest 2 (recommended) Skill set:

Choose two skills and work at getting them to level 13.
Bring your innates up to level 11 each.

Once you have achieved that then you stop spending your skill points. Once you are about to fight King Terask II, equip the final weapons to each character and then (and only then) max out any skills that were not maxxed out with the weapon bonuses.

If you got full equipment for one character (i.e.: you got the final weapon & armour for Talinia) then you can put the skill points in some of the recommended categories, explained below.

Note: Almost every final weapon increases +2 to every skill. Every final armour increases +4 to the innates.

As a rule of thumb, gradually increase the skill points. Here's why: if you only have critical attack up to 13 but you don't have any other skills, you're really stuck and will have a difficult time defending your self and vice versa.

Sets per character:
ROHANE
Damage increase- 13
Critical Attacks- 13
Innate Magic Resistance- 11
Innate Haste- 11

MIPSY
Direct Damage- 11
Group Haste- 11
Innate defense- 11
Innate Haste- 11

TALINIA
Bow damage- 13
Multiple targets- 11
Innate Magic Resistance- 11
Innate haste- 11

VELM
Group Healing- 13
Group Shielding- 13
Innate defense- 11
Innate Haste- 11
